I am sitting by the soundproof windows installed by Encore right now. I cannot hear the annoying traffic the Art Barns regularly attract across the street from me. Finslly, I have opened my blinds for the fist time in 5 years and the vista of looking over the St Clair hill is lovely! Thank you Anthony for brining light into my room and for letting me enjoy my windows and bedroom. Michael and Daryl who I installed them were polite and considerate throughout the whole day it took to put in the windows. I am very happy with the process and the results. I will definitely use Encore services in the future again.

Encore Home Improvements was recommended to us. Our initial contact was great - Mike was very helpful and did not pressure us. The installer did the majority of the work and the windows look good. There were some issues with the installation. We ordered double-hung windows for the convenience of cleaning them. One of our windows bumps up against the wall not allowing it to open to be cleaned. I mentioned this to the installer while he was still at the house and his response was that he noticed it during the installation and that we would have to remove the screen to clean the window. We ordered double-hung windows not to have to remove the screens and we are very disappointed that this was not brought to our attention as soon as it was noticed. It took several emails to find out that the reason the window does not open is because the wall is crooked. We had an additional screen door installed. We were given a quote that included replacing the door frame. The door was installed but the frame was not replaced. Also, the assistant could have been more helpful. He turned on our television, without permission, to watch the soccer games and left numerous screws and sunflower seed shells all over our driveway and window ledges. In less than three months we had a problem with the bathroom window. When we tried to clean it a piece from the window (the boot) came out and got stuck in the window track making it almost impossible to close the window. Someone from Encore came and told us it was the boot and that it may take a while but they would have the manufacturer come out to either fix it or replace it. We did not hear from anyone for a month – we contacted Encore again and someone from the manufacturer came out. He told us that the window is rubbing against the wall causing it to tilt which knocks the boot out of place. He said the installer should have noticed this and put in a smaller window. We now have two windows that cannot be cleaned because the installer did not measure properly.

We recently purchased a house which backs onto an extremely busy street. Encore replaced almost all of the windows in our house. Dave in Sales was very understanding and accommodating with respect to our time available to meet with him, and was knowledgeable and thorough in explaining the different window options available. Mike in Installation is simply the best of the best! His workmanship and expertise is unparalleled. The windows were installed within the time frame promised by Dave and the noise reduction surpassed our expectations. Encore is a team dedicated to upholding the satisfaction and loyalty of its customers and we would highly recommend them.

Encore Home Improvements is an outstanding company! I interviewed several representatives from various window companies and, although Encore was not the cheapest, I was impressed with Anthony's knowledge and honesty. He clearly explained the difference between brick-to-brick and retrofit installations. Not only did Anthony answer all of my questions, but he brought a sample window and gave me a chart of questions to ask and compare other companies so that I could make a well- informed decision when purchasing new windows. There was never any pressure to buy from Encore and all questions were promptly answered by phone or email. The installers were prompt, respectful and took pride in quality workmanship. Encore was superb, start to finish. Dave in Sales, was extremely helpful in presenting options and creative solutions to issues we faced in replacing windows on our 100 year old home. Michael & Mike, the crew, were punctual, diligent, clean and hard working. Our windows look fantastic. Than you Encore. I will recommend you to everyone.

After obtaining three estimates on a sliding patio door installation, we decided to engage Encore Home Improvements. We were replacing an existing bay window with a custom-sized patio door. Our neighbours had also recommended using Encore after installation of their patio door and basement windows. We found Dave Rosolen to be very communicative and patient with our many questions. We twice visited the showroom in Markham, and Dave visited with us in our home on two additional occasions. With Dave's assistance, we decided on the Novatech "Imagine" triple-glazed door. I believe Encore is one of the few installers of this Canadian product. We found the estimate written up by Dave to be extremely comprehensive and competitive. George was the installer who removed the old bay window, made the cut-out, and installed the door, which included pouring of the concrete sill and completing interior and exterior trim--all within a day and a half. His finishing was 100% to our satisfaction. We would use Encore without hesitation for any of our future window or door needs. Thank you Dave and George at Encore for making this a very pleasant experience.

We live on a busy road next door to a commercial property (restaurant with outdoor patio). The level of noise in our home made it very difficult to sleep at night and to work during the day. Anthony at Encore walked us through all their soundproofing options. We ended up replacing the windows facing the commercial property as well as adding soundproof windows on top of our existing windows in the bedroom, office, and dining room. Mike and his team were thoughtful and professional during the installation, answering our questions and ensuring that our windows were installed well - and with a polished finished. The difference was immediately noticeable. As we learned and are now experiencing, soundproof windows do not completely eliminate noise but they take the edge off loud noise and provide an excellent buffer. The sound level is greatly reduced - our home feels like home again. Thank you Anthony, Mike, and the whole Encore Team!

Over the last few years, I've had all the windows and doors replaced in my home and I've only used Encore Home Improvements. Initially, I shopped around and quickly learned that Encore has the best quality not only in materials and products, but their installation workmanship is superior. Encore was quick to respond to all my questions and the windows were installed when promised. I would highly recommend Encore to anyone interested in having windows and doors installed.
