After speaking with many different companies about buying a door, I chose Encore Home Improvements. Dave, the salesman was very informative and helpful in making the decision. He also made it possible for me to key my back door to the front door, which was my deciding factor. The installers came within the specified time frame on a cold, rainy day to install a new back door. The existing frame had to be completely rebuilt as it was completely useless. They did an excellent job framing, insulating, and installing and finishing the door. They were able to preserve the inside wood trim of the door. They also cleaned everything up so that I did not have to even sweep the deck afterwards. They were very pleasant and hard working, despite the miserable weather. I will definitely use them again when I install my next door and will confidently recommend them to anyone who needs a new door.

Recently a Encore door and window unit was installed in my house in East York. This is a very high quality product both in design and function. The installation was done by two experts staff carefully and neatly. The work space was left tidy and clean. A very successful and satisfactory project.

Found Encore number online and was treated amazing, very informative and was able to schedule an appt that fit my schedule. Had my doors installed in time frame promised. The salesman was great. Installers were professional and cleaned up all their mess and took away the old doors!

Dave and his Encore team gave us a very competitive quote to replace all original windows and patio door in our 20+ year old home. His crew arrived on schedule, worked very efficiently and completed the job exactly as proposed. The workmanship was excellent and the installers extremely knowledgeable I would recommend Dave and Encore anytime. Well done!.

I highly recommend Encore Home Improvements for anyone wishing to have their windows replaced. Dave is most knowledgeable, being able to promptly and effectively answer each and every single query regarding windows and doors. He stands behind and is confident about his product. As well, Michael, the installer, and his assistant did an excellent job when installing the 3 windows in our home. We will continue to work with the company over the next few months, replacing the rest of the windows and also the doors. Their professionalism and approach makes me as a homeowner feel confident about their product and their guarantee.

Just wanted to touch base to let you know that we are enjoying the view of our side door (we haven’t been able to use it much being winter and all) and have received many compliments about it. We are looking forward to getting more use out of it as the weather gets better. However, it is re-assuring to know that we can actually use our side door when we need or want to. ?

The part that was needed is now in and Dave (the salesman) is installing it right now. The service was great once the missed email was notified. Glad I could change my star rating as I was impressed before and I can now continue to be impressed with Encore. Great products with great service. What more can be said. Got a call AND a visit today, the day of this posting. Seems there was a mixup in the email and a resolution to this problem may be forthcoming. I'll keep people posted as to the progress of this problem. The windows are great BUT, I've been trying to get some warranty service done since August. My first two contacts said the weather stripping was covered for two years. My third contact said it might not be. My fourth contact said I he would have my salesman contact me. Never done! Now that December is here I think that the two year (NOT lifetime) warranty is up. I guess they wanted to ignore me until warranty service was not covered. So confused. I guess my major worry is that if this it how they deal with a minor issue of warranty how will they deal with something more serious as it comes along? See my previous review for installation and product (both good) but this warranty issue I think should have people worried. It does me. Hopefully I won't need service from them again. Just a caveat for those reading this review. (It's only a guess as to how much I paid. It's two years ago and I don't exactly remember. Could be a little more, or a little less.)

Encore has been referred to me through friends and colleagues. I wanted a red colour door and they came through just in time for the Christmas season!! I am thoroughly pleased with their product and service delivery!!!

When my wife and I bought our home a few months ago, we had no idea that noise would be a major issue. Visits with the realtor were on Sundays and quiet evenings, and the place looked ideal. But as it turns out, our castle is beside a dumpster, and across the street from five of them – belonging respectively to an upscale grocery store and a thriving health food store in the heart one of Montreal’s most vibrant and desirable neighbourhoods. And as it turns out, the garbage pickup for these businesses is six days a week, often as early as 7 in the morning. This discovery came quite literally as a rude awakening – a thunderous banging that assaulted our ears at the start of almost every day. We honestly wondered how long we could put up with it. Our bedroom, unfortunately, is the front room – and because of the design of the house, pretty well has to be. In searching the Internet, I stumbled across Encore’s soundproof windows –and decided it was worth a try. The window has been installed, and lo and behold, our bedroom is now the quietest room in the house. The sounds of the garbage and delivery trucks have been reduced to a murmur, and the occasional cars and buses that go by are so silent it’s surreal. The people at Encore were prompt, friendly and professional. We couldn’t give them a higher recommendation. And frankly, we never realized how much the occasional traffic noise through the night affected our sleep. Indeed, we’ve never slept better! Thanks so much! -- Brian, Montreal

Encore Home Improvements installed several windows and our patio doors. The job was done on time and on budget. We no longer get drafts along the floor or around the windows. This is was on of the best investments we made in our home.
