I had a great experience with GCVL. I moved my belongings form Calgary to Vancouver and from start to finish I was very impressed. The pricing was very competitive and the service was excellent. I will definitely use GCVL for any future moves and I will recommend them to all my friends and family who are relocating.

Great move experience in mid September 2013. Items were carefully numbered and packed, and everything arrived safe and sound. Freddy did both the pickup and delivery and was very helpful and great to work with. Only issue was later arrival at my home to do the pickup than I anticipated, (I was given a date, but not a time) and I had to leave to get to the airport before the pickup was completed. A friend stayed to close the house and hand in the keys for me.

Moved from Squamish to Ottawa. The move was made easy be Great Canadian Van Lines, the staff is really good to work with and they took great care with our belongings. From the Sales person to the helpers it was a very positive experiance.

This is one screwed up company. 6 hrs late for the appointment. Called hourly, and told untruths then after 5 hrs admitted they could not get a hold of the driver. The previous pickup was 100% underestimated. A complaint letter was sent out asking for remuneration and this is the reply: "Hi Ruth, Thank you for filling out our service report with your positive comments on our service provided. If you have a moment we would appreciate it if you could fill out a review of your experience with Great Canadian Van Lines through the HomeStars email that will be emailed to you. If you are able to fill out the HomeStars survey just send an email back (to this email address) to let us know and we'll send you out a $10.00 Starbucks or Tim Horton's gift card of your choice as a thank you for your time." Obviously a totally disorganized company, no one there knows which end is up. Do not move with these people.

I used Great Canadian Van Lines to move my partner's house contents from Toronto out to Vancouver in August. Overall we're very happy with the experience. GCVL gave us a detailed spreadsheet estimate that we could fill in with the weight of our items to arrive at a final estimate. Their price was significantly less than anyone else I called. We had a relatively small move - almost no furniture, mostly just rubbermaid rough totes. We had everything stacked in the garage when their truck arrived for pickup and they had everything loaded in a half hour. Anything not already boxed was wrapped tight by the movers in heavy moving blankets at no extra charge. The whole moving crew was friendly and polite, and the same guy who loaded on the Toronto end was there in Vancouver to unload. The delivery arrived on time and nothing was damaged. The only minor thing that went wrong is that one of our items lost its tracking tag in transit. We didn't notice it missing until a couple of days later and when we called the office in Delta, they tracked it down and we had to get to their Delta office to collect it. It wasn't significant enough to lower my rating as it was really just a minor inconvenience. I'd highly recommend GCVL.

This was a big move for us so of course we were somewhat nervous. Laurie (sales) assured us that our driver was one of their best. Laurie did not disappoint, our driver Amar and his crew at both ends were fantastic - courteous and efficient. Would definately use GCVL again and would highly recommend this full service moving company.

Moving with the Great Van Line was the most horrible moving experience I have ever had. I have moved countless number of times in many countries and had yet to have encountered such poor service from a moving company. I highly recommend that you do NOT use this moving company, ever. Service was rude and I was charged a LOT more than I quoted.

Efficient courteous service, from quote to delivery. Showed up when they said they would, loaded up by working very hard, friendly and courteous when I observed the action and asked questions. No damage to either house, one minor incident on loading which was resolved on the spot. Delivered when expected. Weight was within 10% of telephone estimate. One unexpected charge was resolved within a few days of unloading. Much of the credit goes to the experience and business skills of the Buhler driver, Rick - Buhler was the Calgary agent used by GCVL. You hear horror stories about moves - this one went very smoothly. Next time, though, I would use the packing service, not just to save effort but more importantly to reduce disruption - our house was hard to live in for far too long.

I used Great Canadian Van Lines to ship my life from London Ontario, to Calgary Alberta. It was a great experience, very friendly staff and it was delivered fast! There was no problems at all!
