Quick to do the job, Steve's employees worked under very difficult conditions (December). Nice guys.... Problem is eleven months later the job is still not finished with many calls that they will show up to fix them, and no show. Here we are with winter around the corner and we have issues that are unresolved. When the job was done, we notice some hot spots on our roof and sent pictures to Steve who acknowledged it was a problem and he would send his crew to look into it. In April or May his crew came back to fix some shingles that were not secured properly (a 2 x 3 section was flapping in the wind). While on site we showed them areas where nails were protruding, in one spot, one of the guys must have unloaded his nail gun as there was at least 10 nails in one bunch extending through the eaves which we could clearly see from our second floor deck. They fixed these issues but Steve told us that the issue with the hot spots on the roof would have to be fixed the following winter. We got a call one month ago that Bob would come by to fix it the following week..... nothing........ Even though we sent pics to Steve, Bob asked us to print some and leave in mailbox for him to look at.... Almost a year later, still no resolution. Would we recommend them? No. Would we like our roof to be finished? Yes. Will it ever be?

We had Juff's come in to install a new roof, which looks like the old slate roof, but is aluminum. They were helpful, courteous, great workers. Lots of follow ups to make sure we were happy.

Juffs Roofing did our new roof this spring. I found the company overall outstanding from their office support staff ( Susan who was very prompt at getting back to you and scheduling all the work), to Shay, our estimator- extremely knowledgeable and made many excellent recommendations, to the actual roofing team run by Bob, who were very thorough, did an outstanding job and their clean up was immaculate. Key thing to note is they ALL work for the company and are not sub-contracted, so they all take incredible pride in what they do and ensure the job is done right and on time. Very conscientious and courteous! Very, very happy!!! Beautiful job - the new roof looks great!

We called Juff's roofing after seeing them doing a new roof in our neighbourhood. Our roof had been replaced 8 years ago, but we had some bubbling of paint in one bedroom. We had called at least 3 other roofers since last year to get an estimate for a repair, but only one other roofer had replied to our phone calls. Juff's got back to us within 24 hours, and set up an appointment for Shay to come over to see the roof. When he came, he not only assessed the roof from the exterior, but he asked to go up to the attic to see it. This was a first for us - no other roofer had checked the attic, although after Shay explained the reason, it made perfect sense. Shay told us that we needed a new roof - our roof was in bad shape, even though it was only 8 years old. We had paid very little for the roof at that time, and so we realized that it had been a very poor job. We had ice damming and there wasn't enough ventilation in the attic. The price of the new roof was much more than we had expected to spend, but when Shay explained in great detail what had to be done, and that the materials and labour were guaranteed (the shingles for 25 years) we agreed to go ahead with it. When the crew came to start (10 crew members) they soon let us know that not only were the shingles in bad shape, but the wood underneath was completely rotten - the edges had frayed completely! They showed us the wood, and we had to pay for new wood to be laid (this had been explained in the contract - so not a surprise). They did an excellent job - they put in new vents in the attic, replaced the wood and the entire roof, as well as new eavestroughs.The crew were all hard working, polite, and very clean! Although it was an expensive job, it seems to be in line with the general cost of a good roof, and we are confident that this will be the last roof that we have to put on our 28 year old house. I have selected Juffs Roofing from at least 6 companies that I have received estimates from during the selection process. Juffs are above the price median for this type of job but for people like me who want a guarantee for quality they were chosen to execute the contract without blinking an eye. Juffs are true professionals, starting with Shay that clearly explained to me what to expect, what is to be done and in what order, what warranty do I have and how the team works. The team not only executes perfectly but they also spend time with you clarifying questions whenever they arise and leave that good taste of customer well served (which is missing a lot to many many businesses around Toronto I would say). Juffs, I thank you very much again for the work well done and I highly recommend you to anybody.

After fixing an ice dam in the winter, Steve followed up with a quote to replace the roof and upgrade the insulation. The team arrived and completed the job quickly, thoroughly and professionally. Bob and Shane individually invited me up on the roof to see what they were doing but I opted to watch from the hill in my backyard. They explained the process step by step. The job site was cleaned up at the end of each day and thoroughly inspected when the job was complete. From Susan in the office to Bob and his crew in the field this job was handled professionally with friendly, knowledgeable, experienced people.

My roof needed replacement and was beginning to leak so I called Juff's for a quote. Shay showed up and he took the time to explain what was wrong with my roof. His recommendations went beyond the cheap replacement roofs I see many roofers installing. He clearly explained to me the advantages of buying a high-quality roof. My roof used the GAF roofing system to ensure that I won't have any roofing problems for years to come. Because my roof was leaking, Shay went to the trouble of reorganizing their work schedule to get my roof replaced quickly. Juffs crew showed up on time and were polite and professional. They even invited me up on my roof (scary!) to show me their work. While I was up there Bob (the foreman) showed me that the shingles, vents and membrane were properly installed. Its refreshing to see someone who is proud of there work. When they were done, they did an immaculate job cleaning up my yard. There was not a single nail on the ground after they left (I looked). Overall a positive experience, anyone looking for a quality roof should definately consider Juffs!

We have had an ongoing problem with squirrels in our attic the past few months. After getting the squirrels out (or so we thought) we called Juffs Roofing to repair the holes. Michael was our phone contact and he was quick and courteous and had Arthur out to our house at a mutually convenient time to give us an assessment. Arthur arrived on time, checked everything out and gave us his best opinion on what needed to be done. After approving the cost, he went to work 2 days later. While working, he found a squirrel nest with babies in it! He worked with the pest removal agent to show them where the nest was, and even agreed to finish the work he could and then come back when the pest removal agent was there to immediately seal up the area once the nest had been removed. He worked the whole weekend and came back again to finish the job after the pest removal guy did his. As for the eavestroughs, Arthur had originally suggested one idea, but when he was working and discovered we had a drainage system at the side of our house, he suggested an alternate idea that was both cheaper and more cosmetically appealing. All in all, we're very pleased with the professional job done, as well as the extra effort made to work with other professionals to enusre we got the best service with the utmost convenience. I'd strongly recommend this company to anyone considering roofing repair and eavestrough work.
