Kiya just installed a huge (50lb) chandelier in our 18 ft tall living room and he did not shy away from the challenge. He did a perfect installation, not only from the esthetical point of view but most important from the safety point of view. He made sure that the materials used (cable, dimmer, etc.) are going to withstand the power output of the fixture and the ceiling is going to hold the heavy weight. He explained everything along the way and we feel comfortable with what he has done. He also installed potlights and pendants in our kitchen and his design suggestions have helped transform it into our dream kitchen. Also, his team of guys are very hard workers. I would definitely use him again and recommend him to friends.

Kiya came in to quote on a rather large job in the small row house I purchased in late spring. I was required to upgrade service from 60 to 100amp (for insurance reasons) and remove knob and tube wiring (widespread throughout the house). Kiya showed a passion for making the house 'work' for me (thinking about where furniture would be located relative to sockets, relocating switches from behind doors to make the house flow more effectively, etc.)...which I felt was the real difference maker in deciding to go with him. In addition, his price was competitive (based on the other estimates I received). The opportunity for me with Kiya was on site clean-up, paperwork, and follow-up with the city (still waiting for the city to come and make the connection to my house permananent). I would definitely use him again and have recommended him to friends.

I first became acquainted with Kiya five years ago during the construction of my subdivision. Since that time we have developed a good rapport and he is my only choice whenever I need any electrical work done on my home. Not only has Kiya been an excellent electrician with fair prices, he has also been a wonderful source of referrals whenever I need other work done on my home from plumbing to interlocking drive ways. Kiya did a wonderful job rewiring our entire house. He updated all the electrical that used to be knob and tube. He also added pot lights and new outlets where we needed them. His team was fast and they cleaned up everything when they were done. Kiya went above and beyond and thought about all the little details. I am very happy with their service and would highly recommend them to anyone needing electrical work done!

I had been putting off having the knob and tube wiring replaced in my old house for several years. Having recently discovered Homestars, I reviewed the comments made about various electrical companies.I decided to go with Kiya because of his prompt response, his fair quote and his commitment to satisfy the customer. I was not disappointed. He and his hardworking crew showed up on time and worked for 5 straight days during the hottest days of September. I have already referred him to friends.

This review is long overdue because the service was done in May 2007. We wanted to have our electrical box changed since we had recently purchased an older home. We were very happy with the professional and courteous service provided by Kiya Sunrise. They showed up on time for the job, although we were just outside of the company’s usual service area (border of Mississauga and Oakville). The two gentlemen were very polite, friendly, courteous and professional. At no time did we have to wonder what was going because we were kept well informed. They did everything that they promised, plus more, all at a very reasonable price. We were very happy with the end result and plan to hire this company when we remodel our basement. We highly recommend Kiya Sunrise!

We have used Kiya for a number of different jobs over the past several years. This time, we asked him to install outdoor lighting. As always, we found Kiya to be very competent and willing to go out of his way to do little extras to please us. The work was completed in a very professional way and we are quite pelased with the results

I found Kiya on Homestars and I was very happy with the service level as all of the other reviewers on here have been. Kiya is extremely responsive - he answered all phone calls very promptly. He came in exactly when he said he would to give me a quote. I got 4 quotes and he was in the middle in terms of price. I found he was above board (not reluctant to bring in an inspector), thorough, and brought ideas to the table - the cheaper electricians didn't do this. I think it was worth the extra money not to go with the cheapest! He also stuck to the quoted price even though we ended up doing a few extra things as the work unfolded. I was pleasantly surprised about that. Also, his team of guys are VERY hard workers. They started work right away in the morning and put in a tremendous effort, even in the heat and dusty condiditions. They were also friendly and I felt comfortable having them in the house. I really appreciate the work they did. I highly recommend these guys.

Kiya did an excellent job of rewiring our 100 yr old house. He was very creative at finding ways to minimize the number and size of holes in our walls and ceilings. His team worked diligently to bring our electrical service up to code. A very friendly and dedicated effort.

Kiya is fantastic! We had 33 potlights installed and despite the tight timelines, Kiya's team worked digently to ensure the job was completed on time (actually it was earlier than expected!). Our potlights were installed professionally with careful attention to detail and look amazing. Kiya took the time to explain the wiring and used high quality products. It is hard to find honest, hardworking people that show up early for jobs and keep to budget and Kiya is definitely one of them. We will using him again soon for our kitchen potlights!
