Okay, I am not the type who typically writes reviews. I read them and find them useful in many cases, but taking the time to write one myself is another thing :) I made effort this time around because I am 101% pleased with the driveway paving work that Ludwig did at our house in Lisgar area of Mississauga. Excellent and well-mannered staff, professional work and they kept to their words. The workmanship and attention to detail on the driveway is superb. If you are reading this with a view to finding a reputable and good paving company, you are in the luck. Look no further so you don't end up in disappointment. Myself before I hired Ludwig, I came here to read reviews and wondered why their rating is so high, and thought I should give it a try. Now I can corroborate that Ludwig is the way to go folks.

Excellent communication. Good price. On time. Quality job with no skimping on the amount of ashphalt used. No long lag between estimate and work. Took my schedule into account. A+

Good communication from the first visit until the completion of the job. William explained everything and was there while the work is being done. The driveway looks great and the drainage is nice.The work was completed on time and we are very happy with this company.

William, George and his team did a very professional job on our new driveway. It had to blend in with surrounding interlocking stone work and they went out of their way to assure it was perfect. They come when they say they will, they communicate with the customer about the job and all details. They are very fussy about the details and it shows. Highly recommended.

I got a few quotes for the work and Joe provided a fair quote. What won me over was his honesty and down-to-earth approach. Not only did he and his crew do a fantastic job, but he was also very accommodating in making changes and even helped me in transporting building materials on his own time and expense over a weekend because another contractor that I engaged to do something else on my property insisted that I had to get all the materials before that contractor was willing to start work. When the interlocking paver I picked was out of stock, he even gave me another more expensive paver at no additional cost to me. He is an asset to the industry, and I will not hesitate in recommending him to family and friends.

William responded to my inquiry promptly, gave a reasonable quote. His crew was neat and efficient, arriving on time and finishing when William said they would. The work was first rate. I'm delighted with the service and with my beautifully paved driveway.

We were having our front walkway replaced and figured it was a good time to also repave the driveway. William from Ludwig was easy to talk to and answer any question I had when giving me a quote. On the day the driveway was dug up, again William was there to ensure everything went smoothly. We were having concrete curbs put in at the same time so I had started to dig up the sides of the driveway. George, who operated the bobcat was great as he finished digging the sides out and dug up a number of tree roots, saving me a lot extra work. My wife met William on the day the paving was done and again mentioned how friendly and easy going he was. The finished product looks great.

This company was excellent to deal with. William first met (at the agreed time) me for an estimate and explained the different options. He wrote down everything that they were going to do. They then scheduled a date for them to start the job. I thought for sure it was going to be pushed but sure enough they came on the day and time they said they would. They removed my asphalt without any issues and added crushed stone. My landscapers continued on with their work until they gave me the go ahead to call Ludwig back to pave. They day before I was going to call them, they called me? They asked if I was ready and indeed we were. They came three days later and like a well oiled machine they put in the asphalt. 3" compacted down to 2". They but up right against the paving stones the landscapers put in along the driveway. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. Truly professional in every way.

Last year (October 2012), I moved into a 70-year old house in Etobicoke. The previous owners had laid a driveway consisting entirely of pea-gravel. The idea of attempting to shovel snow on pea gravel over the winter was not appealing. Plus, everyday walking and taking the garbage out each week was extra annoying on the pea-gravel surface. Ludwig Paving came to rescue very late in their season and after some delays due to weather and scheduling was able to lay down a smooth, new asphalt driveway just in time for winter. It's been a year now and I've had no problems. I

I was sold by william, he was nice, answered my questions and respected the fact i did NOT want a cash job. We got three quotes, the others scratched a number on a small piece of paper. I didnt like this. William said he came with the job, and he did. The driveway looks much better, it did a 360 in comparison to before. There is one spot which does seem weaker than the rest, but william was honest from the start. And i trust him when he said if it presents a problem he will be back. All and all, he made it a smooth cycle and kept us informed all the way through. We have very busy schedules so this was appreciated. So, this past winter my driveway cracked after only a few months of getting the install. there is one area that also doesn't look very nice. So far I've put in about 2-3 attempts to get some assistance with this. I would be totally ok even if I was told hey, super busy, we will schedule something in a few months. Haven't gotten that, so I've lowered my initial score of ten. I hope to get this fixed, as I did go with this company because of it not being a cash job and the job has a warranty. So i have changed my review a few times, still havent heard from anyone at this company. I would give then a high score if they just called and fixed what i paid for. Its coming upto the end of my warranty and no one has even called emailed texted or anything about fixing the crack and soft spot. After only a few months my driveway cracked-see picture, with the summer it closed up again, so expecting the same thing to happen this winter. I JUST want my DRIVEWAY great. SO PLEASE CALL ME OR MY HUSBAND TO SET UP A TIME TO LOOK AT IT. THANK YOU!!!
