Edited in 2020....well, ten years on, the driveway is cracking and sinking. My old driveway, that had been there for over 20 years (not done by ludwig) was in better shape than this mess. My neighbour had a tree removed last fall. A branch dropped on my side of the property line and put two holes in my driveway. Experienced tree cutter said that my driveway was barely 1/2 an inch thick and that’s why it created the holes. In my pictures, you will see dark marks. I had to fill in the holes with tar as the holes kept expanding!!!!! There are split marks in the asphalt all over the driveway. We only park at the bottom. In the centre of the driveway, it is splitting in two! Worst part is that I recommended Ludwig to my neighbour. Same thing is happening to his driveway and I feel *AWFUL* about the recommendation. And, I never got my $100 referral fee either. ************************Update ended******************************* Needed a new driveway after waterproofing was completed. Researched long and hard. So glad to have found this site! Joe was amazing from start to finish. My driveway is exceptional. Rain runs away down the centre in a perfect trickle right onto the street. Perfection!!! I highly recommend Ludwig Paving. Remember folks, you get what you pay for. :)

Great work. On time. On budget - Competitive price. Joe answered all my questions before, during and after the work was completed. Easy to get a hold off, something that cannot be said for all contractors. A+

William is the Ludwig estimator and he is a great guy. He worked with me on my expectations and also made some great suggestions that resolved several concerns. The work crew was fast, efficiant and careful with their work. The job was done well and fast. I highly recommend them for both residential and industrial.

Ludwig paving did my drive way recently. They did very good job, had a good advice and also listened to what I wanted. They came as soon as it was possible to give me an estimate (Joseph B.) and kept it to a last dollar. They were the cheapest from 3 estimates from established companies. They cleaned up well after them self. George is very skilled with his bulldozer. Only slight problem was, that they only called 1 day ahead that they are coming to do the job, so it took few arrangments for alternative parking.

I used this site to find Ludwig paving. William was very helpful. there was a bit of a confusion about the final touches ,but they came back to finished as discussed,even went the extra Mile for us. They were true to the timing although I wish they had called to confirm the days for removing asphalt and then apply paving was a good time for us. took us by surprise ... after all a Pleasant surprise. I would defenitely recommend them to friends. Thank you to William and the team.

We live in a townhouse, so we had to do the driveway with our neighbor. This was done August 2008. By October 2008, my neighbor noticed problems on his side of the driveway. I called William at Ludwig paving, and he said that he will look at it next season, because this season was already over. True to his word, William came by and tried to fix the problem, but without success. William talked to Joe(the owner), and also showed him pictures of the problem. Joe decide that the had to repave both driveways to fix the problem, at there cost. Not only did they repave it, but they put in a better quality asphalt. This was unexpected and very classy thing to do. That's one of the many reasons I am writing this review. Thank you Joe, William, George and there great crew for a beautiful new driveway.

Our carport parking surface was made of big chunky gravel, so we wanted to have it paved. Ludwig was one of only two of the 10 or so paving companies we called that actually showed up. Others committed to coming, then wouldn't show (or they woudn't even return my call). When you have a smaller job, it seems most companies won't give you the time of day. Guess the recession isn't affecting everyone?? For our project, there was a slight mix-up on timing, but Ludwig's finished product was great - no complaints at all. The guys were quicker than lightning and the price was as estimated. Would recommend them for sure. Thanks!

Joe and his crew paved our driveway in November 08. Although I was skeptical at first due to one bad review that ia posted here, I am so glad we hired them because they did an amazing job. We have partial interlocking in front of our entrance which we left upto Joe to design and we were happy with the results. I highly recommend Ludwig!!

We had a driveway that had been dug up due to a waterproofing project. It was old and uneven on top of that. We got estimates from four companies and finally decided to use Ludwig. The price was about what the others were charging. William is friendly, honest, frank, and genuine. He did not sound like a know-it-all and truly listened to what I wanted. If I wanted something altered he happily made it happen. William really sought to do the little extra things that mattered. The team he brought was friendly, and the job was quick and professional. The driveway was done in July 2008 and still looks great. I highly recommend using Ludwig.

I called this company because of the good reviews found on Homestars and am very happy I did. William was very professional, friendly, and he and his team completed the job with complete satisfaction. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good paving company.
