We were very happy with the original service provided- they were on time, did a professional-looking job, and were courteous. The problem came when just over a year later we notice rust-coloured spots coming up through the asphalt and called to report it. They said they would be out to look at it. Several months later (when spring arrived) we called again- we also had a split in the end of the driveway now. Once again they promised to come out. They did not. We called back, and they said they would be out 'next week'. This process has repeated throughout the summer and still they have not come back. Bottom line- they are great if nothing goes wrong. Their follow-up customer service is very poor.

The long driveway to my house/carport was filled with cracks, pooled water with rainstorms, and had sunken areas. William from Ludwig paving was the most professional of all estimates, came when scheduled, gave me a detailed breakdown of work required and cost which was quite competitive. The work (removal of old asphalt & bed preparation) was done amazingly quickly with absolutely no mess, no damage to any structures (the carport, hose pipes). Repaving was done a few weeks later and the driveway is amazing -- perfect drainage, straight borders. The coordination of the multiple workers/trucks...and quality of the work was so nice, 2 other neighbors have sinced called them up & I have strongly recommended them to others at work.

We called Ludwig to pave our driveway with a combination or asphalt and interlocking stones. It looks great! We had a couple of issues with a loose stone and a tiny sinkhole. Both were fixed to our satisfaction in a very quick period of time after we called. I would definitely recommend their work.

In the late summer/fall of 2009, I had a number of contractors out to look at digging out my rear parking area to create a proper driveway area. Around the time that I began contacting various contractors my neighbour showed interest in getting his rear parking pad area done as well as he was cleaning up the place and preparing to rent out his property. Previously, the driveway consisted of a bunch of loose gravel that was compacted down which was fine for the summer time to drive on, but I had found in the winter previous that it was very prone to ice buildup which was hard to remove and it made it very hard to get my car out of the back area and I feared loosing control possibly trying to rock the car back/forth. :-o I had contacted a number of contractors that came out and some of them seemed like fly by nighters and not in business for a long time which gives the negative impression of paving companies overall. I had one guy come out and pace the driveway by foot to give an estimate and then these high end places wanting to charge exceptionally large amounts of money for the job but I suspect that it was high as they didn't want to the job or they had lots of overhead. As I have had subsequent contracting jobs for other tasks around the house, I have encountered similar companies for other things such as doors/windows, patio work, etc so I guess this isn't a new phenomenon and I have learned to weed out the bad apples. Ludwig was the total opposite to these other companies and Joe Bozic was very professional, courteous and understanding of my situation with the neighbour/shared driveway. I must say that the way that Ludwig does business is the way that all companies should. I have been burnt badly with other companies who do not follow the same business ethics and hold the integrity that Ludwig does to heart where word of mouth is everything. The experience with Ludwig/Joe was pleasant from beginning to end from the quotation to dig out/gravel and final paving work to the invoice request. It should be this painless for everything that we deal with. This comes as a great surprise to an industry that has a bad reputation and Ludwig is one of the companies that stands out. I am in the middle of the 2nd winter with the new driveway and it so nice to be able to get out of my driveway with ease instead of spinning my wheels on gravel and ice over the winter. I was a little hesitant to post my review sooner but wanted to get through the previous winter before putting up a review but the driveway is performing as expected so far. The only disappointing thing about the job was the fact that the neighbour didn't agree to do the entire driveway but that was out of Ludwig or my control and I wasn't about (nor could I afford) to pay for his part for the rest of the driveway. Perhaps the rest can be done some day and Ludwig will be at the top of the list for consideration.

I only have positive things to say. The price beat everyone else on the street. The customer service was great. We are a school with a complicated schedule and they worked around our schedule. We are really glad we chose them to do the job. I have recommended them to friends and family who were just as happy.

Joe from Ludwig was very thorough, knowledgable and very professional. Even when there was a hiccup he made it right. I would and will recommend Ludwig Paving for any job.

Delighted with results of repaving 30 year old driveway and complete redesign of front walkway. Joe Caramanna was very helpful especially in the widening and redesign of our front entrance walkway. He helped me select the perfect cobblestones, suggested the removal of a small tree which was done free of charge. This crew is very professional and neat. One day they removed the old driveway and came back two weeks later when soil had settled to complete the job. Within a few hours they had prepared the front walk which had to be lifted considerably, laid the cobblestones and paved the driveway, then cleaned up and they were gone. Great Job! What a professional crew. Our entrance is vastly improved. The driveway looks great. A pleasure to deal with Ludwig Paving.

After originally having my driveway improperly paved (the grading allowed water to drain towards the house)by another company I hired Ludwig paving to completely repave my driveway. Ludwig regraded and repaved the driveway to force water away from the house. Joe Caramanna and his staff did a professional job and it still looks great 4 months after the job has been completed. I researched pavement types and Ludwig uses the highest quality asphalt (HL-3F). I stayed home to watch them pave the driveway. Ludwig installed 2 inches of asphalt. The previous paver had as little as one inch in some areas. After sharing my story and recommending Ludwig to friends & co-workers I came across two others that had used Ludwig in the past and they too were very pleased with the job done. When I need to replace this driveway some 25 years (or longer I hope) I will be sure to use Ludwig Paving again.

Our driveway was in bad shape but we were undecided about the final product we wanted. Joe reassured us that we could remove the old asphalt and put down a base of crushed rock but wait until next year before deciding what, if anything, we wanted to put on top. Joe was easy to contact, showed up when he said he would, and communicated with us immediately when weather delayed the project. When his men came, they were courteous and efficient. We are very happy with the job done.
