Build a New Modern Deck
A year ago my wife and I puchased a 100-year old character home in Leslieville. While the interior of the home had undergone significant updating, the exterior of the home didn't receive as much TLC and we quickly agreed that the existing deck in the backyard needed to go. Envious of our neighbours deck, I asked them who they used - Master Deck. I picked up the phone and got in touch with Alec. He stopped by the house later that week, looked at what we were working with, and worked with my wife and I on designing our dream deck (for the space we're working with). Alec listened attentively to all of our requests and was able to integrate everything beautifully at a great price. Storage is hard to come by in these homes so a key focus was including waterproof storage under a good portion of the deck for those outdoors items that I'm happy to finally get out of my furnace room. Another key focus was integrating areas for the garbage and air conditioner. We challenged Alec with horizontal railings and fencing all of which he executed seamlessly. I think it's safe to say we're the new envy of the neighbourhood. I will certainly be a lifelong promoter of Master Deck and look forward to working with Alec again in future! Kudos to Alec and his entire team - they were awesome!

Build new two tier deck
This is the second deck that we have had Alec and his great crew build for us (we moved). Alec worked with my design ideas and made excellent suggestions for improvements. He was very accomodating when I made additional requests for custom benches, bar table and cabinet (which look great). The new deck is 800+sq ft and it is beautiful. We especially appreciated that Alec, Ken and the crew took extra care and attention to make sure that the deck was toddler friendly. They took extra time to round off all the corners so no little heads could not get bonked. Alec showed up when he said he would and the crew put in long days (weather permitting) to complete the project on time. They did all sorts of little extras like getting our big barbeque onto the upper deck when they finished..Alec's pricing is competitive and he offered a range of options without pressure. Did I mention THE DECK IS BEAUTIFUL??

Fence and deck
Alec and his team were total pros. We fenced in the entire backyard and had them build a 16 X 12 deck which looks absolutely huge. They were punctual, great with the clean up and easy to work with. Pricing was very competitive.

improvements to backyard deck
I had alex do some renovations to a current deck. He was very reasonable had a pleasan staff and did an excellent job. I would not hesitate to reccomend him

My deck was replaced by a new one
It's very simple. Alec Jarvis and his team were simply superb. At every stage of this project -from providing an accurate and comprehensive estimate to waving goodbye after the new deck was complete -their work was impeccable and they left my yard cleaner than before they came!!! My deck is solid and lovely and it was a pleasure to have them working on my property. They were cheerful, courteous and actually seemed to enjoy their work. It was a pleasure to have them around. I miss them!! I don't think I could find a bad thing to say about them under torture. Any homeowner would be extremely fortunate to have them. They are the real deal.

Front Porch
Master Deck guys built a lovely front porch for me and my wife and we could not be more pleased. They were professional and did the work for a reasonable price (we had quotes from other companies and compared).

Design and build a new deck (dispose of old one)
Call and hire this co. (Alec) if you want a great deck - solid and beautiful! Just like some other review mentioned, Alec is very sympathetic. He listened carefully to my basic deck design ideas then without missing a beat suggested some great improvements, took some measurements and drew a clear plan including quotes for various materials and options. Then he and his crew delivered exactly as promised. In fact, the deck has features nicer than I imagined. Excellent work. Wholly recommended.

Replace backyard deck
Alec and his team did a great job. They prepared a design and were very flexible with the modifications we wished to make. The job was finished according to the timelines we were provided and the workmanship was excellent. I would fully recommend Alec and Master Deck.

New cedar deck, fence, and landscaping
I hared Alec from Master Deck to replace my deck, fence, parking pad & plant a row of cedar trees. Right from the get go he was very professional and friendly. During the estimate he made many excellent suggestions on how to proceed and what would look nice on my property. His estimated price was more than reasonable, and it is what I paid at the end of the job. Work commenced 3 weeks after the estimate (ahead of schedule) and despite some bad weather the project was finished in under a week. They always left the work site neat and tidy and fully cleaned up after themselves at the end of the project. The final result was fantastic, with lots of attention to detail. I couldn't be more pleased with entire experience. I would recommend Master Deck 100% without any reservations whatsoever.

Fence and Lamp post
Alec did my deck a few years ago and I loved it. When my fence needed fixing I contacted him. Master Deck did a great job on my fence and fixed a coach light post for me at the same time. The fence was done well, as was the post. My one complaint is that Alec didn't fully complete the lamp post job. To me the finishing touches are very important .... My light post was held up by support posts and despite a promise to come back and remove the supports they never did comeback. Too bad because if they had completed the job i would have given Master Deck a glowing review.
