Front Porch Deck
Had a complete front porch deck replacement done by Alec and his crew, very professional and great craftsmanship, I would definately recommend and have received many comments from neighbours on how good the new deck looks and blends into the traditional look of my 80+yr old home.

New Backyard Deck
My wife and I got five quotes from deck companies we found on Homestars for a new deck consisting of Azek horizontal surfaces, cedar for all vertical surfaces (including a new 19' long cedar fence) and disposal of old patio fencing. Alec came over within a day of our call to provide a quote. We were immediately impressed by his knowledge and experience. He made several great suggestions regarding the design then provided a drawing and quote at that meeting (nobody else did this). As mentioned several times on this site, his quote for the project was very reasonable (half the price of 3 competitors). Alec and his team started the project in mid-June and were great to work with. For starters, Alec was onsite every day. They started the project three days early, worked full days and had an amazing attention to detail. They were also very courteous and friendly with both our neighbours and us. They kept the work site very clean and took care to not damage a nearby young tree that I had transplanted to make room for the deck. Finally, they came in on time and right on budget. We cannot recommend Master Deck enough. We have been enjoying our deck all summer and have not stopped receiving compliments on it from anyone who sees it. Thank you Master Deck!

Deck and glass railing
Alec and his crew built us a beautiful deck that is the envy of our neighbours! We chose Timbertech XLM which is a premium PVC material plus a new "topless and bottomless" glass rail system that doesn't block our view. Ken and Stirling were friendly, courteous and VERY professional. My next door neighbour was watching them work and he even commented on how they checked and double checked every cut and angle. I would highly recommend Alec and his team to anyone looking for a deck contractor!

Back deck
We received a few quotes for our back deck project and Master Deck was half the price of the others and had endless postive references (via HomeStars) that no one else could match so we went with them. Alec and his team were amazing from start the finish. They started on time, worked full days, finished on schedule, and were courteous and friendly. It was somewhat shocking to work with a contractor that lived up to his word. Alec worked closely with us during the building process to work out some of the finicky details of our deck as we were doing a horizontal board design and not the usual vertical design. While this was surely a pain for him, he seemed genuinely committed to helping us achieve our vision even if it was more of a challenge for him at the time. I cannot recommend Master Deck enough. I know that the glowing reviews may seems too good to be true (that is what I thought at the beginning, anyway!) but I assure you, they live up to every great word written about them!!!!

back deck
We called master deck based on the homestar reviews. Alex came out a few days later and provided a immediate quote - a benefit not all contractors offer. It was the most reasonable quote we had received for both cost and time for completion. All these factors combined led us to choose Master Deck. We`ve worked with a lot of contractors and they were by far the most professional. The entire crew displayed an amazing work ethic and attention to detail. They showed up on time everyday, put in a full days work and finished on scheduled. We made a few adjustments as we went along and they integrated the changes without issue. I would recommend Master Deck without hesitation.

Deck and Canopy
Master Deck rescued us from a dishonest and unqualified contractor who had started on our deck project. Alec and crew took over and built us the deck with canopy we designed--on time and on budget. His crew works fast and does quality work. Alec is a pleasure to deal with; he is knowledgeable, straight up and pays attention to detail. We love the deck and will be enjoying it all summer long. Built front and rear decks for our house
Great service from start to finish, punctual and friendly workers that were willing to go that extra mile to ensure we were satisfied with the product. Superb attention to detail was evident throughout the project. Work site kept tidy and left clean at the end of each day. Any changes we asked for were accepted and implemented easily without any trouble. We have recommended them to several friends, family, and neighbors already and will continue to do so.

Removing old deck boards and failed waterproofing construction.
We had to replace a cedar deck and waterproofing system that had been designed by a previous company. It was waterlogged and the wood was beginning to rot. We have always had a problem with this deck due to the leaves and debris that falls from the tree and clogs it up. Alec and his crew removed the old wood and waterlogged system beneath it. They rebuilt the deck using cedar boards spaced appropriately to allow for good drainage. We have been very happy with the resulting deck and have had no drainage problems since. Alec and his crew were professional and timely. We would be happy to have them back for future projects.

New Deck
We had a new deck built by Master Deck. It's great, and we're getting many compliments on it. The crew working on it were excellent, and Alec was easy to work with. We would work with them again in the future. Highly recommended. Thanks.

Third Floor Roof Deck
Last month Alec and his crew built us a beautiful cedar roof deck on our third floor. We cannot wait for the weather to improve so that we can start using it. Alec is obviously a real pro and the whole job was done flawlessly in just two days. He also offered the best price from the quotes we had obtained.
