We used Rick to resurface our 50 year old hardwood floors. He came on time, on budget and a year later the floors look as good as the day he finished. Be aware when you call that he is a very direct, he is a no BS kind of guy. My wife and I are so happy to have used McLaughlin flooring. Would recommend them to anyone.

Rick has a well rounded team. from the get go work was being done as discussed during time of quotation. He provided stairs, and spindles. The product along with the stain matched perfectly to our hardwood flooring selection. Rick's team to extra care to detail, and his staining expertise is unmatched. We hired Rick and his team to rip out the carpet in the entire house and replace it with hardwood. The job was completed on time, if not earlier, even though it included a set of stairs with some tricky twists in it. We are very happy with the results. You can see they take pride in their work. We would recommend Rick and his team.

In 2012 I hired Rick to install and stain my hardwood floor. First Rick sounded a nice contractor saying he is doing the job. After he got the deposit, he show up with a three young people (one of them his son) instructing them how to do the job. When I checked the job the young people were doing, I was surprised to find out lots of problems like: no waxed paper, over 13 inches between nails, no visual checking of defect material, big gaps between hardwood and stairs, more than 3/8 of inch level difference between hardwood and stairs nosing. I called Rick a few times and he showed up after a few days. Rick noticed the bad job, and , when he realized got more money from deposit than the job done, he walked away from job without finishing the installation.

I highly recommend Rick and his crew in the installation of my new hardwood floors and stairs. Both Rick and his Stair craftsman were very willing to meet me and discuss the project at my convenience. They took exceptional care of my home and I am extremely happy with the outcome.

We've recently used Mclaughlin Flooring to replace our hallway flooring (it had extensive damage) and refinish the adjoining bedrooms. All the rooms look brand new and they've done a fabulous job! On top of that Rick promptly returns phone calls and schedules appointments, does the work he promises, in the timeframe that he says, and charges the quoted price. Our house was left in clean condition and he followed up to make sure we were happy with everything. We would definitely use Rick again and will recommend him to our friends.

Rick McLaughlin assurance and results were absolutely breathtaking. My hardwood floors look like new. We were directed to Rick on a reference from a friend of ours and were exceptionally pleased with his work. We had the carpet in the entire upper floor of our house ripped out (3 bedrooms and hallway) and all new laminate installed. Rick and his crew were very professional and made sure everything was spotless before they left. Rick even assisted us in picking a floor colour that went very well with our home décor. I would absolutely use him again in the future and strongly recommend him for any flooring needs.

Rick definitely takes pride in his work, he is straight up with information and opinions and gives great advice on how to marry his job with other areas in the house. We have used him twice now, and will use him again when the time comes.
