Purchasing a new roof can be a daunting decision especially with so much information available about shingles, warranties, underlays, drip edges etc. When Tom paid a visit, I had quite a few questions and he was able to provide clarity and direction on what I was looking for. I also had additional questions after Tom’s initial visit that he promptly responded to over the phone. He also paid a second visit to show me colour samples.
I brought in a few contractors for quotes and Tom’s product, warranty and advice is what sold me on the job. He’s got a great website and fantastic rating on homestars which also helped seal the deal. He’s also GAF certified which is another key selling feature.
Tom has a good attitude. I feel that he understands what me, you, as a client is looking for and doesn’t try to up-sell or provide unnecessary work. I’m happy with the experience I had. He provided me with a timeframe that he was able to meet and the job came in at the exact price of his quote. Speaking of the quote, out of all the contractors Tom’s price was right in the middle, the sweet spot. I could have gone with a less expensive roof, but I feel you pay for what you get, and like I said, product, experience, warranty, quality and all the above was the reason for my choice.
Tom’s crew impressed me as well. His team was efficient, polite and definitely experienced. They did a good job cleaning up, protecting patio stones and the surrounding areas with tarp. They answered any questions or concerns I had on the day the job was being completed. Kudos to them as well. I decided to go up on my roof after the job was done and all the cuts, edges, flashings, venting were done to a very clean spec. Everything looks to be in order and I feel that the money I invested was well worth it.
