    Shingling

    I found Megaroofing last summer and I contacted them through this site. The quote that I received was very competitive and I got a thorough explanation as to what was going to be done. They did an excellent job in the two days that they were here. They left the worksite clean and explained the warranty to us in case of any problems that may arise. I would definitely recommend this crew and I have no problems with my shingles to report.

    Roofing and Followup

    This is a quick note to vouch for Tom's excellent customer service. We had our roof done 3 years ago with Tom and have had no issues; however, we noticed that an A/C pipe venting out the roof started to wear some of the shingle around it, allowing for rain to start to come through. Tom responded to my email within hours, and without hesitation came by the following day to confirm the issue and caulk the leak before it got serious. I was impressed with Tom's speed and his advice as to how to best address the issue.

    shingle repair

    I hired this company to fix some broken shingles on my roof, they were very punctual and did an outstanding job! my roof has never looked better. I will recommend this company to all of my friends who need roof repairs.

    Roof reshingling

    My roof was over 25 years old and in need of reshingling. I searched for roofers and received several quotes. I found Mega City Roofing. I spoke with Tom regarding the issues I have had over the past 2 years. There has been substantial ice damming. The icicles would drop down just above the door way all around the house. The gutters were 5 mm away from the fascia and when originally installed it wasn’t even on an angle to help water drain toward the downspout. I had insulated the attic to an R52 thinking it was going to help the roof issue, but it didn’t. Apparently I need more vents on the Roof. Tom took the time to explain to me what needs to be done and the price was reasonable. I would recommend Mega City Roofing.

    Reshingle roof

    We had several quotes but Tom was reasonably priced, very professional and knowledgeable so we went with him. He and his crew did an excellent job, finished in one day, and did a great job cleaning up the site after too. I just wish that Tom and his crew could have replaced all of our eavestroughs and downspouts too as their other work was fantastic and we would have loved to have it all completed by his company! The new roof looks great and Tom was also able to ensure that if we do future renovations and need to tie in the roof over the extension that he will be able to help us out and doesn't foresee any problems. Thank you for a great job Tom!

    2 Whirlybird Vents Added

    Quickly responded to my message, educated me on my options, and promptly finished the job. I appreciated how he thoroughly explained what he did. He went over and above and even fixed an unrelated issue he found on our roof at no extra charge. I've already recommended him to some friends and will for sure call him the next time our roof needs any attention!

    Replaced flat roof

    We needed to replace our flat roof and got quotes from three companies. Mega City was competitive and was the most professional of the three in terms of the quoting process. On the basis of this and the other reviews on Homestars, we hired them. They came on time (actually a day early after checking with us) and worked efficiently with a large team to complete the job within a day. They did a professional job and cleaned up everything. They also referred us to another excellent company for our eaves-troughs. I have recommended them without reservation to my neighbours.

    Roof Replacement

    We contacted 3 different roofing companies that were all rated very highly on Homestars, but we decided to go with Tom after he delivered the best value - quality of materials, workmanship, customer service and cost. We were actually young first time homebuyers, doing major renovations, so we needed someone that we could trust. With quality, he uses a well known brand, we see it on all the home renovations shows. With workmanship, he backed up his work with a 10 year warranty. With customer service, he showed up on time, was very friendly and conducted his work in a professional manner. With cost, he was the best we could find that still gave us the value we needed since this was our first property. Also, since our renovation budget crept up, we decided to forgo replacing our gutters and downspouts and Tom nailed them tightly to the roof so it would last another couple years. He also alerted us to chimney problems and gave us ideas on how we could save money with the garage roof. Thank you Tom and look forward to working with you again!

    Roof repair

    I was very happy with how quickly Tom responded to my call for a roof repair that I needed done. He called me the same day with an estimate and came to my house the very next morning to repair the plumbing stack flange. I called a couple of other companies and they were either too busy or not willing to come out for such a small job. I found Tom's estimate very reasonable as compared to two other estimates I received. He was quick and efficient; he came at the time promised, and needless to say, I was very pleased and would definitley recommend his company to others and use him again in the future.

    Roof replacement

    My 11 year old roof had been leaking for the last couple of years. I decided to have it replaced. I called around to get estimates and one of them is Mega City. Tom, the owner, came to provide the estimate. He explained that the roof leaked so soon was because the paperbacked shingles failed and the previous contractor did not do a good job. He explained the different options available and recommended that I go with fiberglass shingles. He also recommended to increase the ice and water protector because it is a bungalow with a big overhang, The estimate that he gave is competitive with the others. His patience in explaining everything in details convinced me to go with him. His crew came on the scheduled day and the job was done quickly and professionally. They are very friendly and courteous. They removed all the garbage with no trace of construction being done except a new roof was put on. There had been a couple of heavy rain since the roof was installed in September and so far no leak that I can see.
