    Roof Replacement

    First of all Mega City Roofing is great! Tom and his crew were very professional and courteous. After a torrential summer storm we had water coming in through the door frames and kitchen door! I called MegaCity and they came in a few days later in 40 degree weather and finished the job in half a day! That is what I call, great service! Two years passed and I noticed a crack in the shingle caused by a squirrel or raccoon and emailed Tom. He came in the next day to repair it and made sure the rest of the roof was in good condition. Tom went over and beyond the service expected. I would recommend MegaCity to my friends and family for their next roofing project in a heartbeat!

    Roof Replacement

    We had Mega City Roofing replace our entire roof including a flat section above the front door at the beginning of September, 2012. We found from the outset that Tom was very accommodating and answered all of our questions and concerns. He also provided addresses so that we could see different colours and check out his crew’s workmanship. We used GAF Timberline HD shingles in the Barkwood colour. We felt that his price was fair; we obtained 4 quotes and went with him. His crew took extra care of our plants and property and one of his crew happily caulked the top of our chimney where it was starting to crack. They tried to accommodate all of our requests. Our roof was a very tough job because it has a very steep pitch and was therefore difficult to reshingle. We are very happy with the way it turned out and would highly recommend this roofing company.

    Complete New Roof

    We purchased our house about 3 years ago - knowing that at some point we would have to replace our roof. Came home from vacation to find we experienced some leaks. Mega City Roofing did some great work on a friends house, so we gave them a call. Tom promptly returned our call and came over to provide us with an estimate. Tom and his team arrived on-time and prepared to start. His team was able to win over our crabby neighbour. They were professional, tidy and explained the process every step of the way. Mega City Roofing was in and out within the day and cleaned up every last nail and shingle. We would highly recommend Mega City Roofing.

    Saved the day.

    Background. My wife and I had used Tom and Mega City Roofing before and were very happy with the job they did. But for reasons I can't explain, maybe temporary insanity, we decided to go with someone else to replace our shingle roof. We have an old tar and gravel flat roof that butts up against the sloped roof and to be fair the other roofing company said that would be a point of weakness and possible leaking. They promised that the job they would do would last a year until we could save up the money to replace the flat roof as well. Unfortunately, only a few weeks later the water was pouring into our daughter's room! Lot's of phone calls, emails and visits later there was still no willingness to fix their problem. Mega City. We knew the only real answer was to bite the bullet and replace the whole flat roof properly so we called Tom. It's been raining lately and the water was dripping into buckets in our daughter's room. Knowing our situation he was able to move some projects around and squeeze us in. Between rainy days! And he was very reasonable on the the price! His guys replaced more of the shingles than they needed to in order to do the the job right. And replaced the plastic turtle vents with higher quality metal ones to combat the squirrels. It's rained since then and I'm happy to say all is dry! I probably shouldn't admit this, but I've actually gone up a couple of times to admire my new roof. Ha! Thanks Tom!!

    New roof

    We moved into our house 2 years ago and soon realized we needed a new roof. Since this was going to be a costly project, we got about 8 quotes- all from reputable roofing contractors. Tom from Mega City Roofing took the time time to go on the roof and show us what needed to be done (unlike one service rep who did not even bother going onto the roof and then rushing through his sales pitch). Tom's quote was the middle of our estimates but I liked that he took the time to come back and speak to my husband who had other questions prior to deciding on which company to use. Tom was very friendly and patient and answered all the questions we had. He gave us a time when he would start and he kept to his word. The job took 1 day to complete. I was impressed by his crew who were courteous and meticulous in their clean-up. After a long day on the job, they saw that our side gate had come off its hinges (it had happened a while back) and they fixed it for us at no cost since they said they had the tools with them. How kind! Tom had mentioned that we should look into a new chimney cap. We asked him to purchase one for us and put it on. He said he would do so and to send him a cheque for the cost since I wasn't sure if I would be home when he came. It so happens that I was at home and able to pay him but I was impressed that he trusted us to send him the payment. When we first spoke to Tom at the beginning of this project, he said that he had been using Gaf products for many years. At the time of our meeting, he was not a certified installer. However, we told him that we would like him to become a certified installer because we intended on applying for their System Plus warranty and could only do so if the roof were installed by a certified installer. Tom had planned to become certified but hadn't had the time to do so. It didn't take long for him to get his certification since the Gaf people knew him and his work. After completing our roof, Tom sent in the necessary papers and we received our warranty thereafter. Prior to embarking on this project, I had done a lot of research on the type of roof we needed, the products we wanted, the various warranties available, and methods of installing roofs. A neighbor of ours decided to also do their roof and use whomever we had chosen due to all my research. Their roof was done the day after ours and they were also happy with the job. A couple of people have since asked me for a recommendation and I have given them Tom's name. It is not everyday that you come across an honest person who is a pleasure to deal with. Our new roof went on in May 2012 and we have had some pretty heavy rain since then. It is now September and we are still dry! Thanks Tom.

    leak repair

    We had our roof done 3.5 years ago, and we thought Tom was great back then. But, after a heavy rainstorm this week, we had a leak in our kitchen,so I called Tom to come and see if it is a roofing issue. He came the very next morning, and spent time investigating the source of the issue, which he discovered was a problem with the eavestroughs being blocked from the leaves of our very large trees (i.e. not a roofing issue). Being the very nice and helpful person that he is, he took the time to clean out our troughs, washed them down with a hose, caulked our windows and any gaps around the troughs, and then even went to our other side of the house, to ensure that there were no issues there; caulked as a precautionary measure, and then washed out those troughs. Lastly, he took the time to recommend to me maintenance things that I need to do to prevent future leaks, and then he didn't even want to be paid for his time, but I made sure to give him a tip on top of some gas money. There are very few honest workers like Tom, and it is such a pleasure to encounter such a great guy, who really goes 'above and beyond', and all with such a friendly manner and extremely pleasant disposition!

    Complete Roofing Project

    Tom and his crew is the best team of professionals I have seen so far. Tom makes sure he does not leave any doubt by addressing all your concerns and make sure you are completely satisfied with type of shingles, color, and all other details of the project including cleaning up at the end and final look. His crew is quite flexible and accommodating as we had to make changes on the fly as they were laying the shingles down. I could not have been happier with the job they have done.

    Roof Replacement

    Mega City replaced our roof and did a good job. They arrived when they said they would and worked steadily to complete the job. The crew were great to deal with as well as the owner. The work was completed in good time, at a fair price and the workers cleaned up after themselves. We were very happy to give Mega City this job because about 3 or so years prior, Tom came out to give us a quote but told us our roof had a few more years before it needed replacing. We remembered his honesty and did not hesitate to contact him again when the time came. When he quoted I had questions and he was more than happy to answer them all.

    Roofing and Shingles Work

    Mega City Roofing is one class act. Their service is exemplary, the team that came to the house were both professional and considerate. The work ethic and attention to prep work, installation and post work cleaning deserved a 10 The company went above and beyond the call of duty by not only completing the committed work on the contract, but they added the little extras with a smile. 10 is well deserved for this company, they certainly earned it.

    Roof Replacement

    They say 'when it rains, it pours'. And for me it did - right onto my bedroom ceiling. Knowing that this was a problem I couldn't ignore, I started my search. I came across Tom on Homestars and after having spoken to him a few times on the phone and then meeting him in person, my gut told me to go with him. And I'm sure glad I did. My roof looks awesome! Apart from being a pro and having a great crew, Tom has a heart of gold . He will definitely take care of you. Gosh, he's like family now!
