I was looking for a new sofa for my condo and everywhere I went, there was always one thing wrong with the item and it prevented me from really loving anything. A friend recommended G H Johnson’s so I went in and it was a really pleasant experience from beginning to end. The salesperson was very knowledgeable and clear about all my options, about prices, and how doing certain things would actually affect the turnout. It seemed overwhelming at first but they do a really good job of simplifying everything for you. I ended up with a sectional that fits my living room perfectly, in a fabric I love and everything else coordinates perfectly with the rest of my stuff.

Unbelievably low prices, some really knowledgable staff, and high quality product. I don't know what else to say, other than to stop by and check for yourself! Purchased a gorgeous dining room set, had it delivered and perfectly set up within two weeks, and I couldn't be happier! Thanks for your help, Pat, we'll be back!

After redoing all the cupboards and counters in my kitchen, I needed some new furniture to match. I shopped around other places, and found some nice pieces, but nothing really fit. When I went to Johnson's, I saw similar items (but I have to mention, for way less) but the difference was I got to pick and choose every little detail to fit! The wood, the stain, even the style of legs... I found a perfect set for my new kitchen. It did take about a month to get it in, but I was warned before hand that for a custom order took at least 6 weeks. Their delivery manager called me even before it was in, so they could set up delivery as soon as they arrived at the store. The delivery guys were great - they even put up with my perfectionism and got everything set up just right. I'll definitely go back for my next project!

I was worried I wouldn't be able to get my family room done for Christmas but then a friend recommended Johnson's to me and it was fantastic. The prices were great, the staff was extremely helpful and my family room looks is perfect! I would recommend this store to anyone and everyone!

Following a wonderful experiance at GHJohnsons a little while ago my husband and I went back to purchase more furniture, we bought a beautiful dining set, Mr. Pat Johnson and his staff were there to help us, again for the second time we got great customer service, great price. We were pleasanty surprise when we got a call from GHJ, only 4 weeks later that our set came, got our delivery 4 days later. The delivery men were very nice. Nothing was damaged. We are very, very happy with the whole shopping experiance once again. Thank you Mr. Johnson and your staff for all your help. We will definitely be back for more. Cheers. Esther and George

I came across this site when searching for the company's webpage to do some more browsing, and frankly was shocked at what I saw. I wonder if these people are shopping at the same store that I am, because I recently purchased new furniture for a den and a bedroom set for an addition onto our house, and found nothing but great prices and really friendly staff. The showroom is just packed with so many nice pieces that I had seen at other stores for a LOT more money, and on top of that I was able to customize my sofas and and my table - definitely not an option at some large chain store! I was promised delivery in 6-8 weeks, and sure enough about 6 and a half weeks later I got a call to schedule my delivery. When it was sent over everything was great, except that my husband had made a mistake in his measurements and one of the sofa's wouldn't fit through the door. They had to take it back to the store, but I got a call the next day from one of the Johnson's to arrange having a service team bring the disassembled couch over, get it in, and set it back up. Three days later they were back and everything looks great! I definitely appreciate my friend's suggestion to shop here, and will be sending people over in the future.

After purchasing a floor model we went to pick it up and they sold it to someone else! the OWNER(pat) apologized and said he doesn't really monitor what goes on in his own store. He ordered us a new one and said it takes 6 weeks.Every week after 10 weeks the owner said one more week. After over 4 months still no sofa. finally got our money back after another 2 months of no return phone calls and fights. Dont be fooled by an attractive price.

Our first experience with GH Johnson was approx Spring 2007. Found the perfect trundle bed, paid delivered. Our first night with the bed, we found a good sized crack in the finish on the front of the trundle. I called to have it replaced, the replacement was apparently on it's way, but we did not hear back or receive it. (In fairness, we stopped following up). When looking for chairs this fall, we told our friends/family that we were going to look at GH Johnson again - they said, "nice, but delivery takes way too long, you never get the furniture by the date you want". We decided to go for it anyway, because we like the selection and prices. Found the chair/fabric we wanted, great price (ordered 4), and is already set for delivery next week. Overall we are very happy and to date would recommend GH Johnson. This time, if the chairs do not come in perfect shape, we will be sure to follow up on the replacement. We are confident GH Johnson will follow through! As for delivery - I think the complaint is a myth. Both times we received our items in the time specified at time of sale.

We just finished building our cutom built house and were looking for large sized furniture items. We were referred to GH johnson by a friend who warned us ahead of time about their overcommittmet and under delivery when it comes to receiving the furniture. We were reluctant but really liked the selection and needless to say the prices. The overall experience in the store was good, no pushy salespeople but someone available to answer questions at all times. We purchased a couple pieces and the sales person was quite anxious to close the deal and got a little pushy at that point. Anyway, we were told the delivery would take 8 weeks. We were prepared for up to 16 given the reviews we had read. To our surprise, we just received a call( less than 4 weeks after ordering) advising us that our furniture is here and will be delivered next week. I am ecstatic - hopefully this is no form of scam and the furniture is actually here. Good experience overall. A little bit of hassle is worth it, since their prices and selection are good.

Same as so many of the other bad reviews - beautiful couch and chair purchased, but thorough incompetent customer service. Botched order, 5 months and waiting, unreturned phone calls, unrepentant and unapologetic - vitually nothing was done well or professionally. Stay away! There are other, much better stores !
