    Furniture

    A few years ago, we furnished an entire vacation home up north with well priced, great quality and above and beyond service (not sure how those guys got an armoire bigger than the doorway into our den). Since then for our house in the city, we have purchased living room furniture, a dining room table and chairs and a massive mirror that they came to install themselves to make my life easier! They even organized a company to come to my home to stain guard the furniture. I shopped wth my designer at 'designer only' stores, and even with her designer discount, found that the prices given to me with no discounts, for the exact same pieces were less expensive at Johnson's. She is now making purchases for her other clients at Johnson's. We are hoping to redo our master bedroom soon and based on quality, selection, instore service and price we will give our business to Johnson's.

    Dining Set and Couch

    Pat was kind enough to point out the other day that I have been shopping there for 15 years! Other than the fact that I guess we are both getting old, this says it all...he hasn't thrown me out and I keep coming back. I love the great selection of quality contemporary items. The value is a given, the service is excellent. I have sent MANY people there!

    Dining room table&chairs, leather couch and chair

    We bought a dining room table, chairs, sofa and chair from G.H. Johnson and are extremely happy with the products. We ordered the table sight-unseen, and received one that we weren't quite happy with. GHJ's picked it up, and replaced it with one we liked better, with no questions asked. I would not ever hesitate to recommend GHJ to any friends and family who might be looking for furniture, and have numerous times. Thanks GHJ!!!

    Thanks Pat for years of 'first rate' service

    "As an instructor who teaches business and retail success, I know what great service should look like. I have purchase a number of furniture over the years, and have yet to be disappointed. My most recent purchase is a dining room suite at the beginning of spring. I was most particular of this purchase since I would be entertaining some very important individuals who were flying in from the Bahamas to discuss business. Pat ensured that all when off without any mishap. Thank you Pat for great prices, and excellent service for more than 15 years. I will continue to explore what new treasures you have on the floor".

    Home furnishin

    My wife and i have been customers of GH Johnson's for 15 years. Johnson offers a wide selection of quality furniture at reasonable prices. We continue to shop at Johnson's for their warm service and immpecable selection of merchandise. We recently had children and Johnson was our choice for baby cribs and dressers. We recommend GH Johnson's for their knowledgeable staff and great products. joseph

    Sofa and Bed

    I bought furnitures, accessories, towels and beddings from G.H. Johnson's. (received awesome service from Pat Johnson). The prices are unbeatable. Great selection. The showroom is a little cluttered, and it's not always easy to find floor staff, but for the quality and prices I would be crazy to shop anywhere else. My furnitures were delivered on scheduled. The delivery staff offered such great service that I had to tip them. Will definately be buying more furnitures at G.H. Johnson's in the future.

    Sofa

    GH Johnson have great people who work there, but if you are expecting your order by a certain date don't get disappointed if the item doesn't arrive until months after the date you were promised. I ordered a couch in June under the strictest conditions. "I have to have it before my out of town guests arrive". I knew that delivery on time is a challenge to GH.J so I told them 4 weeks time (even though guests were arriving in 6 weeks). The sales person was new, so the person who buys for the store called the manufacturer in front of me. Yes, the manufacturer guaranteed that they had the frame already in stock and yes they could finish it in 3 weeks time. I specifically said if you can't deliver it in 3 weeks I don't want it. She said GUARANTEED delivery in 3 weeks. I can confirm that this was the truth because another store had promised me the same 3 week delivery on the same couch because they called the manufacturer in front of me too. I decided to go with GH.J because of the price difference. I hadn't heard back in 4 weeks so I decided to call GH.J to set up delivery. To my utter surprise I was informed that the couch would be ready August 15th and not as initially promised. This revised date was 3 weeks after the initially promised delivery date which also happened to be the day my guests arrived. I was very, very disappointed. I decided not to pursue it until after the guests had left. I called the end of August, still no couch. I received a call last week, Sept 2nd....great news the couch will be ready for delivery on Friday Sept. 5th. They will call back to set up a delivery appointment. Its now Sept. 11th, still no call, still no couch. Out of curiosity I just called GH.J to see if anyone has seen my couch. They were very apologetic but still no couch. Umphhh! Very disappointed. Hopefully I've learned my lesson this time round. I had gone through this delay on another item last year. However, it wasn't urgent so I just waited and waited and waited until it finally arrived.

    Sofa

    We ordered our GH Johnson Table and Sofa (spending just over $3000 for 2 items) 7 weeks ago. Matt (a Johnson family member) was great in the store when he was getting our sale...the service was wonderful...but there is where it ended with Johnsons. I have to say we did get our table and it was delivered by a very capable delivery crew (they outsource)...but only b/c it was in stock. So we ordered our furniture June 26th and were told 4-6 weeks MAX...I thought that was reasonable. Well, today is August 15th and we still have yet to see our sofa...but we have had plenty of conversations with GH about it. July 20th - spoke with Matt to see about our couch. He said call me back on Aug. 5th and I will have contacted the manufacturer and see if they can rush it. Aug 5th - called Matt, he had yet to call the manufacturer...so he let me go and said he would call right back. Nope 2 hours went by and no call from Matt. SO I called and he said "oh sorry a really good customer of mine came in and I got busy, let me call them". What am I? A not so good customer???? He called back and proceded to tell me that we were only in the 4th week and it would be another 2 weeks. He also asked me "are you aware how many ppl ask us to RUSH items, we can't ok!!!". I was so upset I just got off the phone. My fiance called back to speak with Shaw, a manager. He made him aware that Aug. 7th would have actually been six weeks. They guaranteed us it would be delivered by Aug 16th. GH offers a guarantee fit (they take it apart in store and reassemble in home). They said the couch would arrive Aug 15th in store, be disassembled and brought over on Aug 16th AM. - just in time for our house warming party Well..what do you know, we just got a call from GH (Aug 15th) to say that the guy who disassembles it is still away on Vacay. Shawn forgot that the guy doesn't come back til Aug 18th. So they would give us a loaner...and my question naturally was: what if it doesn't fit...then what? He said "I don't know". SO I said, just bring us our couch tomorrow, we will put it in our dining room and have the guy come on the 18th. Shawn says ok...but then backpeddles saying actually it is in our warehouse in Trenton...so the friggin' couch isn't even there... GH has great quality...but crap service! Do not order anything if you have a date you want it by, you won't get it in time! And the sales ppl don't care about you after they have your money. They backpeddle to cover up when they don't tell you the truth! It is clear that this family owned, operated and run business has no value for its customers...or maybe only some. Is their product good - YES I will not dispute that...but they need to do some overhaul in the customer service dept. Good luck if you dare....(sorry for the spelling I am so mad!!!)

    Bedroom Set

    I ordered a bedroom set in November, paid a deposit and was told that I would recieve it in time for when I moved into my new home in January. January came and no call so I followed up and they said yes, it was in and scheduled delivery and made me pay the full amount. Delivery men came (4 hours late of course) and there were only 2 night tables, no bed. Apparently the bed was damaged. I refuse delivery of the tables saying I want everything at once. Afterwards no one calls me so I follow-up and keep getting different stories. It's in the warehouse they just can't find it..... they receievd the bed damaged, and have ordered a new one.... the new bed in stuck at the border..... etc. Glen was particularily bad would always promise to call and never did. They even offered me loaner furniture.... but delivered it to my old address. That was the last straw, after calling twice a week for 2 months trying to get a straight answer and never getting one, I called my credit card company and had the charges reversed. A week after I did get a call from Glen... of course I didn't answer or call back. Such bad customer service doesn't deserve my business. Buyer beware... once they sell you the item don't expect to see it on time or get the time of day. They just don't care.
