    Dinnette Set

    Joe has been to our home twice now and he is the type of individual that you want setting something up at your house. He truly cared about what he was doing and ensuring I was completely satisfied. He took the extra time to do what was necessary rather than just trying to rush in and rush out as quickly as possible. Very professional, handy and polite. Great job.

    Bedroom Furniture

    I ordered a bed set that was to take 12- 14 weeks to arrive. The truck was broken into when it arrived causing a re-order. GHJ never followed up, never kept me in the loop and was terribly rude when I would call for a status. They took no responsibility for the delay. I never heard one "I am sorry you had to wait so long". The gave me no discount and gave me a 3hr delivery window after waiting 8 months. I will never buy from them again!

    Bed frame

    We bought a bed from this company, which came recommended. Less than a week after we bought it, we heard a loud crack while sleeping, then another. We jumped off the bed, as it sunk beneath us. The crossbeams had snapped. We called for repairs. Before they came, the frame popped out. The entire thing was falling apart. We were told they would come between 11am-noon on a Saturday. They didn't show up until 130, when neither of us could be home. So, they left the new beams on the porch, with the screws in the mailbox. That was enough. We called for them to take it back, and were promised a full refund would be made once it was returned. Well, they took it back (and the guys who grabbed it laughed at the quality of the stuff -- I'll never forget that). But we're still waiting for the refund. We were told to talk to this one guy who we called twice. He's never called back. Pat, the owner who promised to refund the money, went on vacation without doing anything. His assistant said there was nothing she could do with him gone. I left a message for him to call when he returned. We're past that date, and still no call. Now, we may have no choice but to involve a lawyer. This is the first time in my life I've ever complained about a company on the internet, but GH Johnson deserves it.

    Ongoing furniture source

    We have been dealing with Pat Johnson and his staff for a number of years . It is always our first source when shopping for ourselves , design clients or friends. Repeat & referral customers are a reflection of good business. We have and will continue to both frequent Johnson's and quickly refer them to anyone. We appreciate the continual updating of selection, their pricing and our interactions with Pat and his staff. The location is great and the space is huge - we love it - Thanks Pat.

    Bedroom Suite

    Joe from Stoufville said it best. The customer service at this place is simply unacceptable. The sales staff must be on commission because once you put your money down, your history. Even though I was assured my purchase was in stock, it arrived with one piece missing. There was no call to advise me of that, or apologize and when I enquired I was told it would be 'a couple of weeks' - after repeated calls and no callbacks. The first point of contact on the telephone was surly and unhelpful. The delivery men were as apathetic as you can get. The company clearly does not rely on repeat custom, so I would just encourage any potential shopper to remember - you have options. Exercise those options and shop elsewhere. This place simply doesn't deserve your money.

    Purchase dinningroom table

    Don't let my rating of 2 fool you, the rating system won't allow a rate of zero. I purchased a diningroom table back in November 2007, it is now March 3rd and I have yet to receive anything. Since following up on the status of our order I find out they have been providing me with inaccurate delivery status. What was suppose to have left December 31st in a container actually never left until February 17th/08. Don't let the nice furniture fool you, this is a Mickey Mouse operation. I spoke with Mr.Johnson himself and instead of an apology I was spoken to with little regard and respect. Based on Mr Johnson's lack of regard for customer service, G.H.Johnson is not worthy of anyone's business, but only worthy of a recession. I'd stay very clear of this establishment.

    Dining Room Table

    Purchased a glass dining room table, did not deliver on scheduled date, plus NO ONE CALLED to warn me. Found out after glass was supposedly broken by delivery men. Called to reschedule, no return calls. Couldn't get a hold of anyone by phone to tell me the status or what is going on. Everyone is blaming everyone else. Had to go directly to store to find a service person to reschedule. No apology or discount offered. No respect for customers.

    Consultation and purchase of furnishings and decorating

    I recently purchased a new home and had the ominous task of decorating an entire house, I visited both Elte and Decorium and was disappointed in both the staff's attitude as well as their ability to help conceive an overall plan for me. I found the entire experience of visiting and eventually working with G. H. Johnson to be a cut above. The staff have gone out of their way to be of assistance and have shown tremendous creativity. Their attention to detail and ability to deliver products and services was truly above and beyond my expectations.

    Klausner chair dining room table, coffee table

    Simply put: Great products and selection. Worst customer service with a few exceptions. None of the products are inspected in the store; I guess they hate to rewrap things. Everything I ordered arrived either damaged, missing pieces, or both. I waited nearly 4 months for a replacement seat cover for my chair.
