    toilet change

    PLumber came over to replace a leaking toilet, once on site he determined he will need a jack hammer to remove the toilet... $500 thank you. On next visit after destroying many tiles but the toilet out, the flange was un-level so Milani's flood & restoration co. was called to level floor, plumber left but not without another $300 bill. I have no toilet, the old toilet leaking in the lobby, and a broken bathroom floor, and open sewage pipe. I needed to call another company to fix Milani's mistakes. ** Since complaining management did contact me and reimbursed me the cost of the two service calls.

    All the work recommended and provided (including the removal of the toilet) was in accordance to all of the Vancouver plumbing codes. Our work provided to date was to correct the un-level below grade flange that was incorrectly done by the owner. Milani would be happy to coordinate an inspection by the city of Vancouver to confirm the proper method of plumbing for the bathroom and the renovated basement dwelling in question. All rates were clearly provided to the customer and all of the work was explained and approved by the customer before the work had started. In good faith we have refunded the customer for the two service calls. Although other companies are willing to “cut corners”, our belief at Milani is that every job must be “done right” and in the end plumbing codes are there to protect the customer (and his tenant in the basement suite), in the long run.

    Issue with Drainage

    After a day of us trying to fix a toilet draining issue on our old toilet, we decided to just call a plumber and eat the expense. I am extremely happy with the service I recieved. Not only was he friendly and knowledgable, he even went out of his way to fix the dripping tap we had.

    remove article from toilet

    My toilet roll holder was flushed down the toilet accidentially. Andrew with Milani was very efficient, and tenacious. I was told how long before he would arrive and was given a reminder call 30 mins. before he did arrive. Impressive. Respectful and wonderfully helpful. I am forever grateful to Andrew and Milani as I did not have to purchase a new toilet. Thanks for saving me $300.00, and a job done EXCELLENTLY! Eileen Roth

    Furnace Servicing

    Booked Milani to service our older furnace that was giving us some problems- delayed ignition resulting in loud "booming" noise on startup. A couple of other outfits were reluctant to service, and pushed for furnace replacement instead. Others were not able to offer an appointment in a reasonable time. Got a Milani tech to come in two days from my initial call. Appointment was for the "afternoon" time window. Dispatch called just after lunch to confirm that a tech was dispatched and on the way. Paul the tech was polite, and professional. Problem diagnosis was quick, and solution was appropriate- new gas valve. Total time was just over one hour. Charged for one hour labour plus parts. Time will tell if the repair will do the job long term, but everything seems to be good for now. Milani is not the cheapest, but they do offer Air Miles... :)

    Hot water tank repair

    Professional and knowledgable staff, fixed and improved the unit to work more efficiently. I found the technician very punctual and knew exactly what was wrong with the tank. I will defiantly recommend Milani plumbing, Drainage and heating to everyone.

    overflowing basement kitchen sink

    an emergency a overflowing basement kitchen sink due to the drain being plugged up by food. Called milani and in 1/2 hr plumber came and unclogged the drain and updated plumbing so the water can drain better from upstairs.

    Sink plumbing install

    Called Milani in to replumb the sink after replacing the countertop and sink, which went from double drain to single. Called in the afternoon and they were at my door next morning, so very quick. The sink we bought was incompatible with our existing garberator, luckily there was one on the truck for about $200 that was compatible. Plumber spotted a small but potentially significant issue for which he gave me options and fixed relatively cheaply. At $180 for first hour and roughly half that for an hourly over that, it was expensive. The one thing he missed that I had to deal with was not punching out the intake from the dishwasher drain into the garberator - luckily the dishwasher is smart enough to shut down if it encounters a problem, so no mess to speak of. It was that oversight that brings the review down to Very Good. Otherwise, they are expensive but Excellent.

    Toilet repair

    After trying to DIY a broken flange on my downstairs toilet I decided to call a pro. Concerned about the horror stories about how expensive plumbing issues can go I was very impressed with how Milani handled the situation. First off I had a call back from Maria @ Milani that they could have someone out in two days. Not 15 minutes later I had another call from Danielle that not only could they have someone out today but they patched me through to George (the tech) to get more details on the situation he was coming into. Being prepared means no surprises and hopefully no extra expenses. I was very pleased with how quick and painless the situation was and can see why they are so highly rated. very friendly group - Thanks again to Maria, Danielle and George

    Move gas pipe behind stove

    Milani was great. I loved that we got a call when the plumber was on his way. He was friendly, professional and clear about what he could and could not do. We will definitely use Milani again.

    Plumbing

    They were fast, got the job done perfect and charged a very fair price. They were able to come out on emergency notice, which alot of other companies could not do. Call them you won't be disappointed.............
