NewRide was very professional throughout the process. Their work was fantastic – my floor looks like new. Brian gave us a couple of choices of stain to try and match our staircase and made a recommendation as well, we appreciated this. I would recommend Brian and Andre to others based on my experience with them. One other note, Scott was extremely responsive to my emails and inquiries before, during and after the work – responding usually in minutes – their “inside/outside” system works really well. Thanks.

Our old floors were stained and tired looking. The refinished floor looks amazing. All work was done on time and as quoted. These guys are the ones, look no further.

We had the project listed from September 17th to September 21st. But, the work dragged on until September 28th, which was tough on both myself and wife. But, we understand the extraordinary circumstances which Brian was working under and we felt that our staircase delay is a very small price to pay as compared to difficult things happening in people’s lives. On the whole, the results turned out well. The staircase looks very good, clean and stylish. We thank Brian and Scott for doing an exceptional job and would be happy to refer the same to our family and friends.

From beginning to end, Andre and his team were very professional, friendly, neat, and thorough in their work. They did a fantastic job on refinishing our natural oak staircase to match our darker birch floors - the stain was the perfect match. We can't stop looking at our new staircase! They definitely did not rush through the job, as many contractors would do; they came in an extra day to make sure everything was done properly. They created a plastic seal to prevent the dust from entering the rest of the house and were mindful of cleaning up before they left each day. They also gave us a very reasonable price. We highly recommend this company - they know what they are doing!

We are doing the entire house's renovation that changed almost everything in the interior from guts, structure, two stories flooring, whole kitchen, all furniture and appliances, etc. We didn't consider refinishing the stair case as an important part ( considering the cost really is quite small comparing with the whole house's scope of work). But NewRidge's work proved that it's one of the best return we had in the entire renovation. The job requires sanding the whole stair case to bare wood, painting the risers and everything else except the treads and rails, staining the treads and rails to match our flooring and putting everything together. We chose a Wire Brushed floor which makes the color very difficult to match since the flooring's color is very inconsistent. The old stair case had carpet runners which caused different shade of stain left on the treads. Because the new flooring is extra thick and wide, we also had to replace quite some nosing and moldings of the stairs to match the new floor. All these added extra complication to the project. Not to say that we are quite particular about the quality, color, style, it's likely not easy customers to work with :) Andre really took the time and proper procedures for every step. For this "small" job, they came in nearly every day for 7 days, and some steps needed them only an hour or two. We have experienced from other contractors ( even the best in this forum's other categories ) that they would always prefer to group the work together so that less trips need to be made. But this was never the problem or concern for Andre. In fact, he told us that he would need to do that since the beginning and he did it as promised. For every step, he kept us informed, gave us heads-up if it requires us to work with the schedule, explained all the details and addressed our concerns with great patience and professional opinion based on experiences. I have to tell you, after working with many crews and EVERY type of contractors (plumbers, electricians, painters, carpenters, kitchen specialist, flooring specialist, plaster, etc ), the whole family voted that Andre and his assistant from NewRidge is the best. We are impressed by how stunning the stairs now looks and everyone feels that this is the best money we spent in the past 6 months' renovation. Though I haven't seen their work on refinishing hardwood floor, honestly, I have heard from other contractors that it's relatively easier. So, if you ever need to refinish hardwood / stair case, pick this company, I sincerely believe that you won't go wrong. They are truly the best.

Everything went really well and we are really happy with it! Jayme and Heath are lovely and was nice meeting them both. Stair railing looks great! We have already had a few neighbors come in to check it out and have passed along your info (as well as to a family friend looking to do a similar project). We will definitely recommend your company in the future!

We needed the hardwood on our main floor to be resanded and stained a darker colour to match our stairs. Scott was quick to respond to my questions and request for a quote. This leads me to one thing that impressed me the most and is often overlooked: attention to scheduling and project timeline. Through my exchanges with Scott, I knew they were serious about getting a job done on time and were not like many contractors who take on more jobs that they can handle at once. In the end, Andre worked on our job for a consecutive number of days, and finished everything before moving on to his next project. We were uncertain how our floors would look after resanding/staining since it was maple which is known to give a "blotchy" look. Andre took a lot of time explaining the process and even prepared samples using extra pieces of hardwood that we had so that we could be confident that it was the look we wanted...it was obvious he had quite a bit of experience and was very passionate with his work. We spoke to at least 10 other contractors prior to choosing NewRidge - only one would recommend sanding maple and none had personally done it. Andre worked with us to get the exact stain colour we wanted and in the end, we were thoroughly impressed and extremely happy with the result. Out of all the renovations completed on our house, I feel that we got the most satisfaction spending the money to refinish our floors. Thanks Andre and Scott...it really is appreciated.

From first contact through email Scott was very informative and quick to respond, usually within minutes. I recieved my quote based on information I provided and I felt it was very fair given the work involved. Heath showed up right on time and had the job completed when he said he would. Heath if very knowledgeable when it comes to floors and he did an excellent job. I couldn't be happier with the finished product. Heath turned 40 year old stained, discoloured, scratched and otherwise unatractive oak into a brand new floor. Thanks so much.
