We had some water related chaos last summer and part if it was due to our eaves. One of our two downspouts was in a horrible location and connected to the city, our eaves were using the old spike mounts so there were quite a few gaps and worst of all we noticed it overflowing quite badly during heavy rain. I did my usual routine; contact the top five contractors on Home Stars, advise them I was seeking quotes from another five contractors, meet with them, and then let them provide their quote. We made contact with four of the five, only two had a receptionist that was able take my call live and immediately book a site inspection/quotation, and North Shore Eavestroughing was one of them. Their representative was polite, thorough and based his quote on a solution that fit my needs. North Shore was top rated at the time so I figured having them come first and quote on the premium solution (included the T-REX leave guard) would be my deluxe most expensive option. After I got the other three quotes the choice was simple considering North Shore’s quote was actually the lowest price. One of the other quotes was in the same ballpark for almost as good a solution but the other two weren’t even close. Needless to say I book my install with North Shore. We were expecting heavy rain the week before my scheduled install so out of panic I called North Shore and asked if they could squeak me in if at all possible. Darren got involved and really came through as he managed to have a crew come by the next day as they’d finished another project early. The two man install team were on time, friendly, and respectful of my property and conducted themselves in a professional manner. They finished on time and left my with a great looking product. It’s worth mentioning that because my house was slopped a certain way it made leveling the eaves to the two desired downspouts a little tricky, but they managed and even installed some flashing free of charge because it was the right thing to do and they wanted to ensure I was properly taken care of. A day later Darren came by in person just to inspect the install his crew did and to ensure I was happy. He took the time to walk the entire house and even made a minor tweak I requested. From start to finish I couldn’t be happier with the service and product I got from North Shore Eavestroughing. I’d highly recommend them and suggest anyone strongly considers them for their eavestroughing needs.

I would highly recommend North Shore. The work was done promptly, within the estimate. Everyone was polite and professional. The clean-up was excellent. Most important, the result was outstanding. My eavestroughts now do the job they are supposed to do.

Prompt estimate and courteous, hassle-free service. Took extra time to add careful finishing touches (read: good workmanship). No scratches, dings, or marks left on new product or building exterior. Presentable bright working crew, never any typical industry foul language. Started and finished on time, no mess left anywhere. Can't recall now exactly what I paid but it was a reasonable, fair amount for the work completed. Timely follow-up. North Shore Eavestroughing did an excellent job of installing eavestroughs on our entire house. We are very pleased with the service and quality we received. We especially appreciated their taking care of a small issue post installation, proving that they do care about their customers. We would not hesitate to hire them again.

Darren's assessment of our situation & explanation of his recommendation, was more realistic than other bidders. He was able to schedule the work to fit out timing plans and completed the installation in the midst of Tropical Storm Sandy. The crew was courteous, efficient and cleaned up so well you wouldn't know they had been there.

The job took a couple of hours. They recommended a better way to fit my eavestrough around the chimney, which I really likes. The people were friendly and professional. They cleaned up after they left. Great job.

We always get 3 quotes for any work we hire out for and this job was no acception. Northshore came out promptly a few days after calling for a quote. One company told me 2 weeks just to get a quote and then didn't show up. Northshore was great to deal with from start to finish and actually expedited the install date for us. The workers were very curtious, professional and did a great job. I highly recommend Northshore.

Darren gave me some advice to get my roof done first which I am glad i did. I then got him t o do my eaves and his crew did great job at sloping the new eaves right. Very top service.

We decided to replace the entire length of our eavestrough (approx 240 ft) and got 5 quotes. We had a particularly difficult job because our house has shifted over time, causing the eavestroughs not to drain properly in our back walkout. Other companies wanted to take the easy route of adding downpipes at the back to solve the issue, but we firmly did not want those added. North Shore was not the lowest price but we chose them because they were the only ones who truly understood our needs. Darren and his team took the time to discuss with us the technical details of the job and we were confident with their expertise. Darren exceeded our expectations, not only did he and his team install a fully functional system without additional downpipes (with t-rex leafguard), but was accommodating, corteous, and went the extra mile to address even our particular and exacting requests to make the job perfect. We are very grateful to Darren and his team, impressed with the results, and will definitely recommend them around.

NorthShore is the best company I have ever dealt with in home renovations! From Laura in the office to Darren the owner and Tony and Ryan who did the work, everyone was very pleasant, professional and informative. The owner personally did the estimating, and Tony and Ryan used a level every step of the way and took the time and care to make sure everything fit precisely and water-tested the eaves once they were done to make sure everything was leveled properly and working as it should. It looks great and through the last couple of rainstorms worked well! The work was done promptly and completed in one day.
