    kingsdown mattress

warranty process is a joke... we bought our mattress 1 year ago.. it already has body impressions on each side of the bed where we each sleep, with a large ridge running up the middle. The "process" requires you to take photos of the mattress and send them in for them to analyze.. WHAT CAN YOU SEE ON A PICTURE?? come out to my house and see for yourself! so annoyed that now after a year I am stuck with this indented mattress and continue nursing sore backs.. WHAT A JOKE, prime example of bad customer service.

    mattress

These guys are hilarious. Oh we have one left in our warehouse in tim buk to, so put a deposit on it. After looking at a Sterns and Foster for $2800 he was now down to $1400ish on a mix and match one left in my warehouse sale. We still wanted to shop a couple of more places before deciding. We went to the Brick Mattress store and they didn't have Sterns but showed us that it's really just a hyped up Sealy bed. Feature for feature their Sealy was the same as the Sterns and felt the same. Now the best part was they had it on sale 50%off!!! So we only paid $999 for the same quality (Sealy/Sterns) as what was at Sleep Country. The salesperson was very polite and the drivers were good had booties too (made sure of that), they told me they all have booties but Sleep Country just has the advertising that makes them seem better. So long story long DON"T BUY FROM SLEEP COUNTRY THEY ARE A RIPP OFF

    Mattress

Bought a mattress 3 years ago from them and it still feels brand new! Highly recommend to anyone who wants better sleep. They have tons of different types, but I bought a pillow-top mattress and it's firm but still soft to sleep on.

    Mattress

I purchased a mattress and box spring from Sleep Country and was extremely unhappy with them. The combination of the two was really tall and my toddler did not want to sleep in the bed. I also found another mattress that I liked better on sale at Sears. Two days after delivery, I tried to return the mattress and box spring and was told they only do exchanges after a mattress has been delivered. Furthermore, it costs $50 to do an exchange. Further to that, they will match prices with a 5% further discount, but only on a "comparable product". Of course, they did not have a mattress comparable to the one I saw at Sears. I'd like to know the return policies at The Bay and Sears. I'd also like to know whether they would charge a $50 re-delivery fee. Not much of a Comfort Guarantee if it costs $50 to re-deliver. It was a terrible experience and I will never purchase from Sleep Country again.

    New mattress

Recently upgraded from a double mattress to a high-end king-size mattress. Was expecting to pay $1500 for the one I wanted, but because a competitor was having a clearout sale... and sleep country has an amazing "beat their price" guarantee, got the great mattress for under $1000! Smoking deal. Only problem I had was the delivery men... they were ok, but sort of came in and out of the place like a tornado (should've been a bit more careful and less rough). Other than that, our experience was great. No pressure, just good quality, good prices. LOVE our new mattress.

purchase of a high end bed

Purchased a bed at the Unionville location on the recommendation of the salesperson who sold it as their very "top of the line" superior product. Upon further research, we learned that the bed was reviewed in the MOST negative manner, repeatedly, both by others who had felt misled into buying it and by experts who review consumer products. We cancelled the order prior to delivery and were only then told that in fact other customers had reported the same experience with that product. We were also told that when there is a problem, the customer is ALWAYS directed to the manufacturer; and it is not the responsibility of Sleep Country who sold the bed. Needless to say, 12 days later, we are still waiting for a refund for an order cancelled well BEFORE delivery. Buyers beware. The Sleep Country that once was great to deal with is not the same any longer. Customer service and credibility are not on the radar screen.

sleep country mattress warranty = total disaster

like others, I liked the advertising jingle "why buy a mattress anywhere else" and christine magee is a great pitch person. I also feel that people at sleep country are very knowledgeable with their products. I own a business also and trust me, I know mistakes can happen. Sometimes it really hurts to refund money. Especially when it could cost you next months rent. But when you are dealing with a mega brand like sleep country canada, you expect taht they have the financial ability to take a hit to make sure they get repeat and referral business. After only a month, our mattress was sagging. My wife and I kept feeling like we were being sucked into the middle of the bed. We would have to use muscles to stay away. When I am in bed I want to relax, not strain. No problem honey, we bought our bed from sleep country, they'll know what to do....YEAH TO PROTECT THEMSELVES! A "technician" came over with a long stick (I AM NOT JOKING) to measure the sag. It was a pillow top mattress and it's supposed to sag 2 inches with nobody in it. Well ours only sagged 1 3/4 inches so we failed to "qualify" for anything. He actually told us to call back in two months and then we'll probably qualify. We were broke so I wish I could have done more, but there was no homestars back then. BUT NOW THERE IS!! After 2 months I did call and now the bed sagged 1 7/8" and we still didn't qualify. I went to the store and stood there for 30 minutes while the sales woman serviced "a customer"...what were we? Chopped liver?! In the end we gave the mattress to charity and bought a new mattress. I will never buy another mattress from sleep country unless I start hearing that sleep country has changed their ways. If sleep country would have tried to do more tests and done more to help me get a good night sleep, I would be posting a much better review. Maybe all the beds are low quality and they know it. I hope that's not the case. You would think with the amount of beds they buy, they could get the manufacturers to eat some of the pain of substandard products.
