Reply created 22 Mar 2023I am sorry you are not satisfied but happy you did like the moving crews. On international moves we place an order with the steamship line for your moving container, this is how all moves must be moved when going overseas. They give us an eta to destination at that point but with the worldwide bottleneck in the supply chain the steamship line is beholden to factors beyond their control. The port charges are not known until the goods actually arrive at the port. This in turn is charged back to you as outlined on our contract. On international moves we do ask for a valued inventory to be filled out. This means each item we ask you to list and place a replacement value on it. The cost of the insurance is then charged on the calculated total of these items. If a customer does not list items on the inventory they will not be insured. In this case, the items mentioned were not settled as they were not on the value inventory and hence were not insured. I am looking at our communication as the goods were in transit. With the supply chain disruption worldwide it was difficult to track your container however we should have done a better job of keeping you "in the loop" as far as it's sailing times, time at port etc rather than just communication a few weeks out of delivery and I have used this as further training for our team.
