Bathroom Renovation
We recently had our master bathroom renovated, and we'd like to thank Don and The Candu Group for a job well done. We love it, and appreciate the job so much that we won't hesitate choosing Don for another renovation or for recommending to our family and friends. We'd settled into our home only a year ago, but knew the bathroom would be the first thing to get a makeover. The room is about 5'x9' and showed its age for a typical war-era home. (the photos pretty much explain it) Don was receptive to what we looked for in a new bathroom, and offered suggestions that suited our taste rather than pushing his own. We liked that, especially after some bad experiences with other companies we'd interviewed for the job. Don doesn't double-book his projects and was present each day until the bathroom was completed. The job went ahead as scheduled, and it was a pleasure coming home to a clean area as Don’s crew ended each day vacuuming-up and being as least intrusive as they could. That was fantastic, because we didn’t feel like we were sacrificing our routines until the renovation wrapped-up. Lastly, the project was completed on time and on budget which is another thing that we're thankful for. Courteous, Concise and Customer focused are words we'd use when describing Don and The Candu Group. Thanks Don, and great job! You and your team deserve it.

2 Bathroom Renos
Don did a complete reno of both our upstairs bathrooms. Don and his team were courteous, organized, communicated progress regularly and overall great to work with. The bathrooms turned out fantastic. Don had many suggestions along the way that only made things better and his attention to detail is obvious in the finished product. Don will be the first person we call for all future reno's.

Bathroom renovation
Don was a pleasure to work with. Always willing to discuss the work - before, during and after. Don removed our 57 year old bathroom and hand crafted an elegant modern one. We could not be more pleased. Thank you, Don, for the work you did and the pleasant way you did it!

Bathroom Renovations
I had 3 bathrooms to makeover, and I ended up interviewing about 5 contractors. I finally picked Don although he didn't give the lowest quote as he came across as professional, sincere and detail-oriented, which I believe to be excellent traits in a contractor. The quality of his work is exceptional, and he doesn't cut corners. I have heard of other contractors that finish about 80% of the job and then move on to the next job because they promised the next client that they would start on a certain date, and take forever to finish the remaining 20% of the job over months and years. Don, on the other hand, was realistic in estimating the duration of the job, and stayed on the job until it was completed before moving on even though he was a day or two late for the next job. Overall, I am very happy with his work, and it's a bonus that he is very personable as well. I would not hesitate to use his services in the future, and have highly recommended him to friends and family.

Joe, it was a pleasure to work with your family. In most cases I will not come in with the lowest quote... Some contractors come in on the low end to get the contract only to surprise the customer with extra's at the end of the project. My focus is to have a happy customer, quote actual numbers, stay within the deadline, but for unforseen issues such as illegal electrical that may be found behind walls for an example, or obvious customer changes to the contract. It was a great pleasure to have worked with you.

Entire main floor of house, new kitchen & bathroom both relocated
We purchased a home in Scarborough, realised it needed updating and we added all of the features we were looking for in a modern home. This did involve altering the floor plan significantly which was accomplished on time and within our budget. Don was instrumental in showing us options we had not considered but made sense in the updates to the entire main floor of our house. We enlarged a master bedroom, made the smallest bedroom a bathroom and the old bathroom a main floor laundery room. Moved and updated the kitchen to the old dining room area and opened and closed walls openings to maximize space and achieve a more modern look. The price also included new fencing outside and some landscape corrections. All of the work was great value for the money and done with courtesy and patience as well lived in our basement as our house was renovated. Hats off to Don and his team. Great work and I'd recommend The Candu Group to anyone looking at renovating their home.

Brian and Heather were the dream couple to work for, very easy going, we went out for 1 afternoon to pick tile, flooring, fireplace, kitchen cabinets, hardwood, hot tub to name a few. Picking these items for an entire home would in most cases be time consuming and confusing, not for this couple. The outcome of the project was remarkable. Changing the layout of this home was an undertaking and it went smooth. The choice of tile, hardwood etc and paint has really tied it all in together. This was an exciting project for us, thank you.

Renovations of our upstairs bathroom
The Candu Group did an excellent job. They were fast and finished the project on time and within budget. I would highly recommend them. Don is very personal and professional and meets his commitments.

Bathroom Renovations
We are extremely pleased with the fabulous bathroom renovations that were recently completed for us by the Candu Group. They came highly recommended and did not disappoint. We had two twenty-eight year old bathrooms that were functional but very much in the dark ages that we hated to go into. They were completely gutted and redesigned and turned into very warm, versatile and welcoming spaces that we now enjoy immensely. The best part was that the work was done while we were away on vacation and all we had to do was walk in and be amazed when we returned. Don and his crew proved to be very trustworthy and professional and we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone at any time.

large bathroom renovation
Don from The Candu Group Inc. was referred to us from a friend in which Don had previously done work for. From the 1st appointment we were impressed as we had called 2 other contractors, one of which was late for the appt, the other which did not show up., Don arrived early for our scheduled meeting and very kindly explained to us in great detail how he would proceed, he also explained the product choices and options and helped to refer us to some locations in which to choose some products, ie, tile, shower base and doors. His crew arrived on the scheduled date to start the job and cleaned the job site daily upon leaving, everyone was friendly and worked very tediously. Our bathroom has been updated to above expectations and we will be having Don back to refinish our basement in the fall. Very pleased from start to finish.

Three Season Sunroom
After extensive research, I hired Don to supply and install a Three Season Sunroon on our existing deck. Not only did he come up with a great product, he was very reasonably priced and his workmanship was second to none. He showed up on time and completed the job on time and as quoted. The Candu group will be back in the fall for a bathromm reno.

Complete Bathroom renovation
Don did an amazing job on our bathroom, we are very pleased with the result. We were so impressed with his quality of work that we hired him back to do a dinigroom renovation. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend him to anyone, he is safe, reliable and a total professional in all aspects of contract work.
