The Candu Group Inc. was a perfect choice for our en-suite bathroom, shower renovation. Don was punctual and prompt at returning phone calls/e-mails. Don, his crew and the trades he uses were respectful of our house using drop sheets and to carefully move any item that could potentially be in their way. Although the entire project took a bit longer than quoted (circumstances beyond his control) Don kept me updated and provided peace of mind that work was still being done. He answered all my enquiries and obviously knows what he is talking about. We absolutely love our new shower and vanity and would not hesitate to recommend them to family and friends (in fact, we already have!). Don and his crew arrived on time on the start date and kept the site very clean every day. He was specific in detail and was very informative when it came to selecting our products and materials. He responded quickly to phone calls and emails. Don's tradesmen were a pleasure to have in our home and we look forward to having Candu back to do our kitchen and main bathroom. Our main floor bathroom, with our ONLY shower, needed a total gut and reno. It was vital that the job be done quickly without compromising quality, and Don estimated it would be a 7 day job. By the end of the fourth day, the shower was operational, which was fantastic. Another week for completion, but that was due to a few snags - short on tile, broken vanity mirror, cracked tile, etc. Don and Taylor arrived on time, worked long days, cleaned up well at the end of the work day and were friendly and professional during the entire job. When problems occurred, Don made sure that things were fixed to both his satisfaction and mine. One day after the job was completed and paid in full, Don returned to replace the soft-close toilet seat that stopped working the day after it was installed. I chose all the design elements and purchased them myself, so products were exactly as I wanted - Don offered guidance when I asked for it. Don also stepped in with his supplier to get a shower basket for the wall and replace the damaged toilet and toilet seat. The quality of the work was excellent, and the finished project looks amazing! The heated floor is wonderful too - the cat loves it!! Thanks Don and Taylor, we will certainly get in touch for future reno projects. I would fully recommend the Candu Group.

A total gut and replace of our Master Bathroom. We did all the sourcing and designing ourselves but Don provided valuable input along the way. The job took a little longer than expected but all parties shared in the reasons. All in all we are happy with the way things worked out. The only issue was a slight popping up of the shower drain which causes some water pooling but Don has provided us with a 10 year coverage against any related problems.

The Candu Group once again gets a huge thumbs up from us! We recently went through a major renovation that involved the complete demolition of much of our main level and a transformation that is truly amazing. There were many challenges for Don and his crew including stubborn porcelain tiles that were secured too well and extremely difficult to remove. They handled that and other messy jobs including significant wallpaper removal and taking out a supporting wall with a minimum of disruption and moved on to the rebuild mode with ease. We now have a fabulous new open concept main level that includes kitchen cabinets that are both functional and beautiful along with new granite counter tops, marble backsplash and cushioned engineered flooring that we absolutely love. The finishing touches including lots of new trim and painting throughout were all handled beautifully. Don made many helpful suggestions along the way as we made our many choices and we are absolutely delighted with the finished product. The project involved significant electrical work, plumbing and a change from electric to gas range. It was all brought together beautifully, was completed on time and within budget and we are very glad that we chose the Candu Group once again. This is the second project that they have handled for us, having had them handle the renovation of two bathrooms for us a few years ago, and we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who may be looking for professionals who know their stuff and will treat you well. I would like to thank Don and his sub-contractors for a beautiful bathroom. The price was not inflated at the end of the job which was exceptional! The quality of the work was outstanding - and most of all having Don working in my home was a pleasure. Don always took the time to explain details. Don gave us excellent advise regarding the layout of fixtures and furnishings for our bathrooms and made many helpful suggestions re: product purchase and style. This was a major job as both bathrooms were gutted and required new: wiring/lighting, plumbing, steam shower, high-power fans, glass shower doors, TOTO toilets. marble wall and floor tiling, painting etc. Don and his crew were consummate professionals and kept the mess to a minimum, allowing us to still live in our home throughout the process. All work was done to the highest standard and Don did not rest until HE was satisfied that the job was 110%! We now have two spa-quality bathrooms and will certainly have Don work in our home again on other projects.

I reviewed Homestars and decided to get quotes from The Candu Group based on their excellent reviews. Don came-in and gave us quotes and from the get-go he gave us a very good feeling and appeared to be very trustful. Our feeling prooved to be right; Don and Shane converetd our old bathroom into a beautiful bathroom that we now enjoy. Don is all about ensuring that the client is happy and satisfied with the work. Quality of the work is very important to him and he makes sure that not only the client is satisfied, but also he makes sure he's happy with his work as well. Don also did some nice railings upstairs and in te basement as well as cleaned-up a clutered closet and installed double sliding doors. All the work was done with quality and Don keeps his word when he says he'll be there at a certain time...he will. What he quoted us is what we paid, except there was a couple of extras which were definitely legitimate and I was surprised how Don was fair on the cost of these extras. Very nice to work with this type of Contractor. A1 relationship with the client! Thanks Don! Strongly recommended. We have more work coming-up and will certainly give Don a call.

We contracted the Candu Group to renovate our bathroom and are very pleased with their work, especially the high quality of drywalling, paint job and tiling. From the beginning estimate to the conclusion of this project, staff remained professional and helpful. This is a trustworthy company and we felt comfortable while they worked in our home. We hired Don Edmondson and The Candu Group to undertake a basement rec room renovation, including the addition of a 2-piece bathroom. Don and his crew were outstanding - from the quote, to the daily work, through to the end of the project. The job was completed a few days ahead of schedule and on budget - you can't say that about many contractors! Don provided us with a number of great suggestions during the planning stage and was always open to the questions we posed throughout the job. The team is very professional and highly competent. At the end of every workday, the job site was completely cleaned and tools were stowed away. We also want to thank Don and one of his crew, Shane, for their extraordinary patience with our little boy who wants to be a contractor and was eager to "help" with the project. Very few people would have responded so well. My husband and I would highly recommend Don and The Candu Group to others and plan on calling him very soon to undertake an overhaul of our mainfloor.
