I called others for an estimate to repair a 75-year old chimney in which the clay and brick was disintegrating on the inside. Unlike the other companies which did not seem to know or could not communicate a solution, Bill of the Chimney Company performed a thorough inspection and produced a detailed work plan and estimate on site. Bill and his team did everything they said they would, and in the process provided information and knowledge every home owner with an old chimney must know to be safe. The Chimney Company is a rare find and I appreciate their work, integrity, expertise and overall approach. I will never consider another company and recommend The Chimney Company. -- Tom

I had a double chmney that was in very poor shape. The chimney was not being used as my house wood fireplaces are all coverted to direct vent gas ones. I did not need the chimney but still needed to have it partially torn down, capped and repaired. Bill and his team did very good job and I am happy with the work. I have not bothered to climb up on my roof yet to inspect closely but am confidedent there will be no surprises. Thanks for the good work Bill.

Service: chimney tear down and rebuild from the roofline. It was clear our chimney needed some care as the first few courses were cracking, displaced, and when I went up on the roof bricks were crumbling. To avoid a water leak and potential disaster we decided to get a repair or rebuild. We are glad that we went with Bill and The Chimney Company for this work. Here is why: Quotation: Of the 5 companies that we contacted they were the only ones that came and actually went up on the roof to check it out. Others were good but checked things from the ground only or just wanted to see my pictures. Job scheduling: They gave me a ballpark week and delivered within that timeline which I respect. Job experience: they were able to do the job while I wasn’t home but when I viewed how things were going on my cameras I saw some amazing things. These guys eve took care to lay down a tarp on the driveway so their trucks and materials didn’t do damage. They work very clean with the tear down and replacement as well. If it wasn’t for just minor indents in the grass and mulch around the house for the scaffold you wouldn’t even know they were there. Finished product: the brick match was amazing, they even treated the mortar so it would match the weathered 1970s mortar on the rest of our house. They fully watersealed and capped the chimney and were careful with our new gas insert liner too. All in all I was very pleased and would highly recommend this company for your chimney work. Thanks gentlemen you saved my family from some costly water damage and your price beat your competitors too!

#1 Requested estimates from 4 companies; one didn't work in my area, two never responded, The Chimney Company left an estimate in the mailbox the next day. #2 Went on a (short) waiting list to do the work. #3 Day of, they arrived on time, set up in a safe manner (scaffolding), removed the old bricks, did the install, set a new crown and replaced the old flue cover (which was still in good shape), removed their equipment leaving a clean job site. All they left behind was a beautiful chimney! First two pics are obviously before's. I should also mention that they matched closely the brick coloring to the front facade by using two different colored bricks-nice touch!

Called Bill in the morning to ask about getting a cap for my chimney to keep the raccoons out. He just happened to be in the area, lucky me, he is a pretty busy guy. He picked up the parts and arrived when he said he would. Bill and his assistant are great guys with good honest advice. The job was done quickly with a great warranty. Thanks Guys!!!

Our chimney needed repair due to general wear and tear over the years. Using Homestars, I contacted a couple of Chimney Build & Repair companies. Bill from The Chimney Company was the first to respond back to me for the job and a quote. Bill promptly arrived at my house to look at my chimney, assess the work required and provide me with a quote to perform the work. Bill also informed me that he was quite busy and gave me an approximate time frame for starting the work. I must say I was very impressed with Bill and the Chimney Company. Bill and his crew eventually arrived on site to do a complete chimney rebuild from the roofline up. They did a fabulous job from start to finish (the rebuilt chimney looked great) including cleanup (no mess after the work was done) and the price was very reasonable. The Homestars rating for Bill and the Chimney Company was also very good. I would definitely recommend Bill and the Chimney Company for any of your chimney repairs.

l had a chimney that was falling apart, l found the chimney company on HomeStars. They had a really good rating. When l call, Bill answer the phone and said he'll come by the following day to give me a quote. Bill left me a reasonable quote, so l went with him.. l am so glad l did, Bill and David came early in the morning and said it'll take about 4hrs to do. After 4hrs, l received a knock on the door and the job was done, no mess to clean and the chimney look awesome. Bill said he'll be back in few week to reseal the chimney, a few weeks later Bill and David came back to reseal the chimney.. usually contactor don't come back after you paid them in full, but Bill and David are a man of there word; true professional, that's why Chimney Company is 10/10 on HomeStars.. l would recommend them to anyone looking to rebuild or fix there Chimney.. The clay flue liner on our chimney was damaged after a heavy storm! Bill at the Chimney Company was totally awesome and after carefully inspecting he discovered a squirrel's nest was housing 3 newborns inside our chimney! He suggested we wait 6 weeks until the babies leave the nest! He was right on the mark! 6 weeks later he returned, the nest was emptied and he installed a new clay flue liner and cap to perfection! What an excellent job, could not have been more pleased! No doubt that Mother Squirrel feels the same! Totally worth the wait!
