Very pleased with the finished bathroom. We have an old house & therefore there were a number of surprises which not only cost a bit more but delayed the work a little. The guys worked hard consistently, were usually at the house by 8 am or earlier, also cleaned up after themselves on a daily basis. They were very good and came up with good solutions to problems encountered.The tiling guy was meticulous & did an excellent job. Only drawback was at the end, original estimate was 2 weeks to complete, it took a few days more than that & we felt that they were really rushing to finish, consequently the quality diminished in the last day or two. However overall, we believe we received good value for money spent.

I am very pleased with the work done in my kitchen. Each workman put his best into it and it was very well supervised. The job took longer than anticipated, but I was well-treated.

Royal Home Improvements renovated our kitchen with total professionalism, quality of workmanship and great skill. The whole Team helped us create this "Masterpiece" with personal care and helped us through the steps necessary for a very Happy outcome. Jason Girkis, our project manager, was available at anytime I needed advice and/or a change of plan that was time sensitive. Jason...we thank you for being you! Our budget was followed closely and I was given many options to "Create" our design. We have a lot of storage space now which was a problem before, and have probably greatly increased the value of our home. Thank you to ALL the skilled craftsmen and women at Royal for their help and skill in making this a very enjoyable experience!

My family is very satisfied with the completion of the renovation of our basement by Royal Home Improvements. Mark Davies & Iain Ralphs provided us with excellent advice & ensure that the renovation was completed on time & on budget. They responded promptly to all of our enquiries & concerns.They supervised the team of trades men who completed the work to our satisfaction. If we were considering further renovations to our home, we would again consider engaging Royal Home Improvements.

We had hardwood floors replaced in our home and a bedroom painted at the end of November 2013. Alban was the Project Manager. Nick and Blair did the work. We are very pleased with the results. Alban understood what we wanted and quickly arranged for the work to be done. Nick an Blair did the work very efficiently with the minimum of disruption. The work was completed very quickly, within a week. We would like to thank everyone involved in our project. This is the second time we have used Royal Home Improvements for home renovation. Paul and his team did a great job. The price beat other quotes and they did it when they said they would. The quality of the products used was great, but the attention to detail and workmanship in installation is the real trick. We are very happy with the work !

My experience with Royal Home Improvements (RHI) is a mixed one. It started with the salesperson James who was informed and knowledgeable about the 'quirks' of an older home and basement renovation. Many of the companies I spoke with wouldn't even attempt to do an unfinished basement of an 81 year old house. But James confirmed that it could be done and they had done it. He was even helpful in providing suggestions on materials that could work in my basement. I was provided with an approximate start date and the contract was signed. That is where it started to fall apart. The project didn't start for almost TWO months after the contract was signed!! It should be noted that RHI has a process where they include a Project Manager on every job. While that may be great - if you need it - I didn't really but there was no option to not have one and that is clearly built into the cost. It is not to say that the PM that was assigned to my project was not knowledgeable, courteous or friendly, but as a hands on and fairly knowledgeable homeowner, in all honesty - I didn't need a PM. I coordinated most of my payments with the contractor. I worked directly with the contractor to make sure any extra supplies that were required were purchased on time. I made all the decisions on my finishings and coordinated the plumbing and the electrical work that were contracted separately from RHI. Sadly, I suspect that the timing of other projects that seemingly had higher priority coincided with mine taking the PM away from my project. The BEST thing about my project really was the very talented Contractor Aldo and his team. Their experience was most definitely the highlight of the project. This project started off with plans that were drawn by a Professional Engineer. When the project was complete that same P.Eng came through and saw the finished project by Aldo and his team and he was beyond impressed. RHI is beyond lucky to have the talent of Contractor Aldo and his team. They made my post war basement space look BEAUTIFUL and modern! I could never have imagined that it could have looked so great! For Contractor Aldo and his team a 10+!!!!! As for a recommendation, I would definitely say that if you are looking to sign with RHI ask for Team Aldo. He is really the best representation of what a Contractor should be - helpful, talented, knowledgeable, patient and has GREAT taste. Trust him - he knows what looks good in any space! He knows how to do EVERYTHING and if he doesn't do it himself, he has a great team of talented specialists that make it all come together. So, while I'm enjoying my space - one created by Aldo, I'm not certain I can say that I enjoyed the experience with the RHI company administration.

the first two weeks into the project went well. and, the project was supposed to be finished in another week. however, since no measurements were taken before starting the project, the shower stall didn't fit, the toilet was placed within 2 inches of the wall making it very uncomfortable to sit on; and the finishing details weren't completed. currently the grout has cracked and the cracks are widening in the shower stall; ants were getting into the house through the chalking in the window, and mice got into the house due to the hole left around the exhaust pipe from the fan that was drilled to an outside wall. for what we ended up with, the price was overly high. especially since we provided the toilet, sink and shower stall.

We had 6 new doors installed - 2 exterior and 4 interior all with new locks and deadbolts(exterior). John and Sava were very personable and a pleasure to deal with helping us with making the right choice of style. We felt the cost was fair and the workmanship was excellent. They were very punctual and cleaned up afterwards. This was the 2nd time we have used Royal and have been pleased with the results both times. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Highly recommend Royal Home Improvements. They were punctual, cleaned up after themselves, workmanship was excellent, great design ideas and cost effective product suggestions. Project was on time and on budget.
