We got Otto's guys to come back twice. We had tuckpointing done throughout the entire house, the chimney capped, bricking in a milkbox, steel lintels to fix a bad job from before and soldier course on wide windows. Oh, and parging. it was a lot. It did take the mason a long time at our home to do these things, but it was a lot. The work was decent. I don't know much about masonry (nothing actually), but i do like clean lines and a good aesthetic. This was a very functional job, but perhaps not the best looking. We liked them enough though to invite them back to do another job - bricking in a window. Which again, was decent. I would have the back again. thanks guys!

Otto and Tony were extremely helpful and accomodating in getting my chimney rebuilt and extended in a tight time frame. Stuck to original estimate despite unexpected delay that caused his crew to lose a day. In addition he made a recommendation that saved me $350 approx. on the chimney liners. Great work, I recommend Otto highly.

Mortar was breaking off in pieces. Had Otto's break out the remainder and re-mortar a 20 x 10 foot area. They did an excellent job. Reliable and well worth the money.

Otto is a hands on owner and operator, he was in constant communication with us. His team replaced our sidewalk, it looks fantastic, was completed in a timely matter and for a reasonable cost.

Kudos to the guys at Otto's Masonery. They did a first class job on rebuilding my chimney. They were the most competitive of 3 quoting contractors, and surprisingly were able to match the brick to that on the rest of my 70 year old bungalow. The job was done quickly, the workmanship very good and the site left clean. What more could I ask?

Called Otto's Masonry exclusively on the strength of strong HomeStars reviews. Very pleased with the quick response and great communication. The work and clean-up were excellent, and the price was very reasonable.

My husband and I had a flood 2 months back and through the course of the restoration work, a literal hole in the wall (the size of a human!) was discovered in the back foundation wall (part of an extension). We had a structural engineer confirm it was non-structural so a basic rebuild was required. We called several GTA masons and contractors, some of whom came and didn’t quote, others gave exorbitant quotes, and a few provided good pricing but their timelines were unreasonable (2-3 week wait times). Otto’s Masonry came recommended by a neighbour and we looked the company up on Homestars. Otto made the initial site visit on a Friday, provided a fair quote the Saturday and started the demo by the Monday. End of Tuesday, the work was completed. We did have some minor questions/concerns--after we had paid in full--and they were handled with both expediency and courtesy early the next morning--the mark of a professional tradesman and crew. Thanks kindly, Otto and company. We’d like to as well commend Otto’s crew, particularly James and Jordan, who started the workday early, worked steadily, and were hard working, conscientious and courteous all round. Tony, Otto’s assistant, was also very pleasant and professional in our dealings. We would recommend Otto’s Masonry to others.

We wanted to have an ancient chimney removed from our house from outside the roof, right down through the attic, 2 floors and the basement. Because the chimney was holding split joists, they needed to be supported by steel posts. Drywall had to be cut out on all floors. Otto analyzed the situation, gave us advice and quickly had his crew - all very polite and friendly - quickly remove the chimney with minimal impact to the rest f the house. Every estimate is in writing, receipts provided immediately and work done fast, professionally, as promised. Clean-up was perfect. Otto is always available by phone and will site visit any time needed. HIGHLY recommended!
