Otto sent a team to replace 17 window sills with stone, and repair the concrete under the sliding door on time, finished on time.Good workmanship. We strongly recommend his company for masonry work.

Of the highest reviewed on Homestars and four contractors later, I found Otto to be the most honest and fair with his quote; he came to assess the job himself, took pictures, listened to our concerns and gave an honest recommendation. A written quote was given shortly after. He proved to be a man with integrity (that’s saying much in this business) as he and his team went above and beyond to address our requests and correct arising issues. John and Jason were punctual, professional, respectful and accommodating and left the premises tidy. There is a noticeable difference in basement temperature after the mailbox fill-in (it’s freezing in cold weather). Also, my emails were answered promptly by either Otto or Tony and all concerns addressed. I was pleased with the outcome of the work done by Otto Masonry and would definitely recommend to friends and family and contract their services in future if needed. PS. We asked for a chimney repair of damaged and crumbling bricks as the lower half of the chimney was intact – this was also more affordable for us. Otto was the only one to recommend a chimney repair and not an entire re-build as other contractors did. He said the bricks were in good condition and a re-build was not necessary but would do it if we wanted. One contractor would not come to the house but proceeded to give a quote over the phone (Really?)…said he knew the area…I don’t know what the area has to do with my particular house or chimney! Another quoted almost 5x the price for spot-pointing (not full tuck pointing) and 2x for mailbox fill-in using “removed brick from chimney”. I understand brickwork/masonry is expensive but this is price gouging and beyond ridiculous. Buyer Beware!

My home needed tuck pointing, and concrete resurfacing on the front porch. I contacted many contractors some refused to come to my home because they felt the job was too small. The other's who came to the house gave me outrages quotes. Otto's Masonry gave me the best quote, and promised to be prompt in getting the work done. Well Otto's Masonry delivered. The work was done in a timely manner, and the finished product was exceptional. Should my home again need masonry work I will sure to call Otto's Masonry.

Competitive quote, excellent workmanship, contract was for one wall, but company pointed entire house. Otto's company delivered well beyond expectations, with a price that was lower than two other quotes.

Not only was Otto's quote the best I found, the mason (Idriss? forgive me, but I'm not sure how to spell your name!) who arrived to do the job was thoroughly professional and conscious of details. I had three old, brick basement sills cut out and new concrete ones poured. Great attentions was paid to tuck pointing, and I was invited to go over the entire house before the job was 'officially' complete. The quote given was the price paid, my home is just as neat as before the work was done, and it was completed quickly. I'll hire Otto again when I need some windows bricked to new sizes.

We recently had John from Otto's do some concrete repair and brick relaying on our porch and tuckpointing on the porch and front of the house. Otto provided sage and honest advice (we did less than we thought we had to), prompt efficient service when promised, thorough clean up, and great workmanship. All at a very fair price. We are very happy with the work that Ottos has done for us, and would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.

When I needed a few of the bricks on my house replaced, I was referred to Otto's Masonry. Correspondence was done effectively via e-mail. The mason was knowledgeable, polite, and respectful. Brick replacement and tuck pointing work was completed expeditiously and professionally, with the bonus of a competitive price.

First, I do encourage every one who had used a contractor from HomeStars to write a short note about the accomplished work. It would be very helpful for those who were looking for a trustful and right contractor and would limit they frustration. Second, it would be a needed feedback and eventually thanks to those how was doing good work. We had a crumbled scary brick fence that needed a fixing especially after last winter which contributed to it deterioration significantly. We called several companies to make an assessment and give us an estimate. Some contractors promise to come, but never showed up; some came but never bother to send us an estimate; some other give us a price that was over our expectation and means. A couple give us very close estimates and we ended choosing Otto Masonry, because they were very responsive and flexible to our requirements. The work was done exactly what we expected and even a little beyond what was promise and what was in the contract. The working side was held clean with no messing derbies all over the place. The project was accomplished on time. The final result was and still is very good. The asking price was never changed with no pressure about the payment. I postponed this review for 1 year, just to make sure that the time did not change our satisfaction.

We had our chimney rebuilt and tuckpointing all around the house. The work was professional and Otto and his mason's matched the bricks perfectly on our 100 yr. old home! Even the mortar was matched to blend with the rest of the house. They did a great job and were timely, efficient and friendly. A few neighbours also mentioned how great the work looked.
