    Kitchen Appliances - Stay away from geomans

    I had purchased a set of three kitchen aid appliances totalling $5,500 hundred dollars for the fridge, dishwasher and range from Geomans in London Ontario. The total Inlcuded taxes and all warranties for up to 5 years. Upon arrival the brand new fridge didn't work and the range had issues with a knob which I reached out to the store to come out to service. Since it was Saturday and the service department didn't work on weekends I needed to wait for Monday for someone make the appropriate appointments. On Monday the service department had scheduled a swap the fridge for a loaner as mine isint in stock for a couple of weeks. The service guy came out Tuesday for the range and told me the face was dented and that he needed to order a new but since this is brand new I should probably get it swapped for another one. The service department has initiated the swap but haven't heard from the manufacturer if it will be allowed. In the mean time I have reached out to Geomans every single day for a week. Their response is that a manager isint available to speak to me for the next three days. I reached out to head office by email and they keep deflecting my inquires to a service department. At this point I have a loaner fridge in my kitchen, a broken range and a dishwasher that hasn't been hooked up yet. I'm praying that it isint defective. Whenever I reach out to the email provided to the other reviews they deflect the inquiry to a third party service company. I have asked three times to speak to a manager and the response is always one isint available. Update time: Ok, Goemans came through on the delivery new set of appliances. Happy to say this so far everything is working and have had the manager follow up about all the issues.

    Home appliance nightmare

    My husband and I were pricing a complete house package to the tune of $40,000. Customer service the entire time wasn't professional. They sent the wrong specs to the builder, twice, and could not order products that other retailers could. Other retailers were also cheaper, threw in warranty, installation and delivery. Goemans did offer to price match but would not move on the other add-ons. I was also hung up on when I confronted them about these issues and requested that my deposit be returned as a number of salesmen confirmed was possible before I have them the deposit. Now they tell me they won't refund anything and that's always been their policy despite numerous verbal confirmations to the contrary. In addition, nowhere on their receipts does it state that deposits are non refundable. Our deposit was made over 8 months in advance of delivery.

    Product ok - delivery very poor quality

    Goeman's had a good selection of product and sales process. Was fine. However, when it came to the delivery- the team just came and put the 4 appliances we bought in- simple right.? However, when they were suppose to take a standard fridge from downtstairs up- they flippantly said they couldn't. The measurements were fine but they cited their "hidden" boss Mark and said can't do. They suggested I use some mysterious company called Silver bullet. I tried calling the sales rep and waited couple days but no return call! I eventually kept calling and the manager was good enough to listen ,but seems the delivery department is a separate entity and they have no control. I suggest Goeman's subcontract a better delivery service. This was the Vaughn store. While simple I may have to get two seniors to move a fridge that Goeman's delivery felt would take too long and interfere with their time. I would have paid extra! However, I am just getting angry and will let this rating speak for itself.

    Refrigerator

    great sales reps, ordered the Refrigerator paid in full. quoted 2 week delivery to oakviile and 15 days goes by no feedback. called the rep and within a couple of hours got a call back to schedule day, and was informed that i will be contacted the day before with a window in time. no call i had to call dispatch at 3.30 pm the day before and they called back with a time. this is a dandy....delivery guys show up, middle of winter and tells me they don't have enough runner all i have to do is mop the floor after them. (entire house is hard wood floor with the exception of 4 feet of tiles near the front door) Remember this is the 2nd week of January....2 guys walking all over the hard wood floors in their wet shoes... thank you for making me mop the entire hard wood floor after the delivery.they had 2 runners and was enough to cover the entire space. there was 2, 4 feet gaps on the floor... is this the type of service you get for a $3000 product?

    Appliances

    We are now over three weeks and counting without a dishwasher. we have only had the dishwasher 1.5 years and it broke. It took a week to get a technician to come see it, then he came with an ipad and said he had to order a part....despite us telling them the code and already explaining the problem. He said it would take at least a week....it has been over a week and no response yet. They don't work Saturday so this so far will mean a minimum of 2 vacation days. I called Goeman's to let them know i don't think this is good customer support. She said she could do nothing but write down my concern. I asked if it then went to the garbage.....she didn't deny that! Good thing it wasn't my fridge because it is three weeks and counting! Don't buy from here.

    Kitchen/Laundry

    I recently purchased appliances for both my kitchen and laundry from goemans. The sales associate was fantastic. The service on the delivery however was horrible. When asked to take their shoes off they ignored the comment and continued walking in the house with their dirty shoes. They scuffed my brand new kitchen cabinet and ignored the fact that they did. The gentleman who parked the truck for delivery proceeded to swear at me when I asked him why he blocked off the whole driveway when my wife had to go pick up the kids. No one from goemans has called with any resolution. I would not recommend anyone purchase their appliances from goemans. You are better off using any other company. I will continue to tell this story to all my friends and acquaintances. I will be sharing this through social media and will be taking my experience to the local news outlets.

    Initially, extremely poor post sales service and support.

    Update: After contact, the right hand finally got coordinated with the left hand and things improved tremendously. Original: Great sales rep in Stoney Creek, (Adam Stronghill), extremely poor post sales service and support. Bought 2 fireplaces in October 2015, (inv G and within 6 weeks the rheostat was not working on the napoleon despite purchasing their 'top' blower GZ-550. Called multiple times and passed from customer service to Angela, to installs. Was told the installer would call, didn't. Called back, was told Lisa would be given the message, no call. Called again, Angie has been very helpful, but I've been given misinformation that installer had to come out and would call right away, 4 days later no call, because they had to confirm rheostat problem, also they were to order a gas line a month ago for the 2nd fireplace delivered without one, but after a month with no follow up I had to call and no one seemed to know anything about that. Then told they were waiting for 2 parts, which again contradicts what I was just told the day before, that installer has to come out first. While I acknowledge it is the holiday season, that isn't any excuse to say there would be return calls from the installer, then someone in installations etc.

    Gas fireplace sale and installation

    I purchased a natural gas fireplace from Goeman's in Stoney Creek. The sales person was very accommodating when I mentioned I needed this installed within 2 weeks. However, when I was contacted by the install department, I was given a date 4 weeks out. After many unsuccessful attempts to reach the salesman, I contacted the manager who indicated there was nothing that could be done. Strike 1. After waiting a month, the installer finally showed up only to find out I had to put in an electrical wire for this unit. I was told by the sales person I needed no such wire. Another few days of delay arranging an electrician now. When all was done, the installer came back and 'installed' the unit. What a horrible job. They couldn't get it straight and the iron glass doors could not open. I found out the hard way, during a power failure the unit has a battery backup, which they failed to mention. The installer did NOT put any batteries in, nor did they inform me I needed to. So again, I had to remove the unit and put batteries in, not an easy task. The last straw was when I had a gas fitter in to run an line. He noticed the fireplace install and informed me is was NOT to code. He asked me who did it. When I informed him it was Goeman's he laughed, and to my amazement mentioned the installers name. He informed me he's not a licensed gas fitter and has seen his 'work' many times. So long story short. DO NOT DEAL WITH GOEMANS, you will regret it.

    Washing machine

    Have had the worst applied center experience after buying from London goemans. We bought a huebsch washer after being convinced that goemans service is one of the best despite all the awful reviews. I should have listened to my gut instinct . We bought the top loading machine in march . Afyer immediately noticing something isn't right and it makes our clothes dirtier then they went in . Looks like the we're washed and on last cycle it took all the dirt and threw it back in and look like tye dye with dirt !!!!! We've tried every trick and detergent and softer in the book . I have hspoken with the customer service who carelessly passed along to nudges to fix the problem . They couldn't find anything wrong .... so must be our problem . Try some different detergent they said . It's been half a year now !!!! Still keep calling g and bugging g . Gloria a manaer from london couldn't have cared any less about me and when I talked to shayne who I bought from who assured me how great the costumer service just passed me along to Gloria and she passed me along to the manufacturer !!!! That was 2 weeks ago . We've wasted a lot of money on extra detergents and washing several times . And then wasting more time to finish washing by hand . Extremely fed up with goemans . We're young couple and gladly will be telling our friends everyone we know about our awe full experience we are are still having sick and tired of this crap don't buy anything there unless you can do all the fixing yourself because they don't care about you afterribly you leave the store and they have your money !!!

    Purchase dishwasher and fridge

    Salesperson was very good (Goemans is apparently a Sales Organization but just hope everything goes well because they don't do service). We ordered the appliances well in advance of the project being completed and were called when they arrived we arranged delivery at a later date. The day before delivery they called to say they wouldn't deliver unless we paid the balance in advance but it couldn't be done over the phone by Visa. We got them their money and the next day the fridge arrives but they didn't deliver the dishwasher as "something was wrong with it". After many phone calls and a few weeks the dishwasher arrived so we arranged for the plumber to hook it up and the ice maker in the fridge. The Ice maker just poured water all over the floor so he couldn't hook it up. Goemans sent out Whirlpool to look at it and they came and ordered a part which should be in in a couple of days. A month later we are still waiting. Goemans doesn't return calls and doesn't seem interested as they have their money. My advice is to check out Goemans and find what you want to buy , get a price and go to a reputable retailer to buy it.
