    Replacing all kitchen appliances

Pierre Jamil was the salesperson we dealt with and he provided outstanding service throughout a project complicated by the fact that appliances had to fit built In kitchen and electrical work had to be done prior to delivery. Goemans pre on site measurement process and install service was top notch. We could not say enough good about our experience right down to the delivery people . This is a great team.

    Kitchen Renovation

Worst customer service ever!!!! Put a 1/3 down . A month before delivery they sent an email poorly worded demandING more money or everything would be cancelled - could have asked nicely. Upon delivery - refussed to bring the fridge in . Left it on the walkway . Claimed it was too big for the door way. ??Was this ever discussed during purchase?? No. Never followed up to see if eveything was OK . Just more junk mail to come spend more money....NOT AT GOEMANS!!!!!!

    On 5th fridge delivery

I purchased an Kitchen Aid appliance pkg for my new house. Goemans was to deliver them 3 days prior to moving in. When the fridge came in they took the doors off. When they put them back on they were badly warped. The delivery people heaved on them for a while despite the warning not to do that but couldn't right the doors. It was sent back and we were told we would get a new one sent back. After 3 weeks of no fridge we are now waiting for our 5th fridge to be delivered in two days. We have taken multiple days off work for deliveries and each time the "new" fridge arrives damaged. Despite being promised the new fridges would be inspected PRIOR to delivery, the last one arrived rusty with a dent in the door. I paid for a new fridge and am being treated like they are doing me a favour by wasting my time delivering these defective fridges. They wanted me to keep one of the rusty fridges and have it repaired! Goemans shouldn't be in the appliance business if they can't handle inspecting appliances prior to delivery. Don't waste your money with this "high end" store. to delivery. I am done with Goemans.

kitchen appliances & washer & dryer

On August 31/16 we took delivery of our appliances. On Friday, Sept 1/16 I tried to use the oven, but could not get the oven door to close properly and could not preheat the oven. I called Goemans in St. Catharines and because it was the long week-end, the said they could not do anything until Tuesday, Sept 6/16/ I did not hear from them and called Tuesday afternoon. I asked if I could get a replacement oven only to be told no, a service man would come over. He discovered that the hinges were broken and that the lock at the top of the oven door (I think it is used for self cleaning) was also broken. Again, I called Goemans and again I was told that I would have to deal with GE. The service man has ordered the parts but I have not heard back from him. I bought and paid $999.00 for this oven and have yet to be able to use it. I find their policy very "hands off", when it appears that during delivery our oven was dropped. The service man took pictures, but as yet we have had no news. I will never recommend Goemans to anyone and will go out of my way to let people know what my experience was like. I will now have a used oven that cost $999.00,

    Do not use Goemans

After the purchase of a Whirlpool Washer and Dryer, I was thoroughly unimpressed with the service. The delivery date was not honored. The free vacuum included with the purchase was not delivered. And the terms under which the warranty was purchased was not honored. Do not use Goemans.

Excellent service, exceptional pricing, happy with Goeman's

We purchased all of our Kitchen Aid appliances and LG washer / dryer from Kevin Beck at the Goeman's in Vaughan. Kevin was super friendly to deal with, and provided the best pricing in town for what we want. Very knowledgeable -- he knows his stuff! I understand he's no longer with Goeman's, but wherever he has landed I'd recommend him to anybody looking to buy appliances. His extended team at Goeman's has also lived up to their word, when contacted since with questions, coordinating for a minor warranty repair, etc. A +

    Dryer disaster!!

If you buy from here, cross your fingers that you never have to deal with anything pertaining to warranty. We went to the Goemans in London to look for a laundry pair. I particularly was looking for items in stock as my old single stack unit finally decided to call it quits. We priced out several front load pairs and the salesman was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. As there are two other appliance stores in this particular strip mall, we went and got additional pricing and product availability. Though we found an in stock and cheaper unit we liked, my husband had seen a Maytag set at Goemans and liked that it is North American made. The Maytag unit was a floor model, which I like because it was available immediately. We arranged for a stacking kit to be ordered and we even picked the units up ourselves two days later on a Thursday when the stacking kit came in. Here is where everything went downhill. Once we got the units in the house (I arranged for extra hands for this). We got them all hooked up and stacked. Washer worked right away. Dryer made a loud knocking noise. Somehow the seam of the dryer was rubbing the side of the dryer. I call the store immediately and am told they can't help me. I have to call customer service who was now closed for the day. Upset, obviously, I send an email to my salesman to address when he got in the next day asking how I could get this rectified quickly. (Btw, this email was never answered) Next morning I call customer service. They tell me earliest I can have a tech come is Monday morning (thanks for making me take time off for this now). They also tell me that if it is because we installed it wrong that we had to pay for the servicing. I informed them my mechanical engineer husband followed the instructions of adding two clips to stack it so I was pretty sure it wasn't installation related. Tech comes Monday morning to look at my washer. Yep, they told him my washer. That is what the paperwork they sent him says too. He opens the dryer, listens to the banging, takes the top of it off to watch it spin and tells me the whole drum is out of shape and is bouncing. His suggestion, a whole new unit as it is under warranty. Call head office and they tell me I have to wait for the tech report before anything can happen. They tell me they will look into it in the morning because it could take that long. Yes, they did call me in the morning, They talk to Maytag and Maytag agrees the unit should be replaced. When, who knows, because it could take weeks to come in. Depends when they get a truck in from them. I'm livid because of the huge inconvenience this has now caused and no one can tell me when it will be rectified. Maytag exchange department calls me directly to discuss my exchange options. My unit was a floor model because it was being discontinued and replaced with a newer model. There was no stock for this and they offered me the newer model. I agreed as long as it was the model that replaced my current one so that the pair still matched. They asked me to call the store to see if they had any in stock for me to get it quicker than waiting for the truck to send one. Talked to the same salesman and he didn't have any in stock. He was going to talk to his manager, who was currently away to see what the procedure for this was. I get a call a little while later from him telling me that head office said because I was now getting a brand new unit I had to pay an additional $200 because my original unit was a floor model. I call Maytag back to tell them to take their dryer back altogether if I had to pay a dime. They assured me that wasn't the case and they would sort it out for me. I call Goemans head office when I hear nothing back to confirm this. Was hung up on 3 times while on hold. Finally was told a truck with some unit was on its way and I may have one by the end of the week. I would get a call to set up a delivery time. I get a call the next night (Wednesday) to arrange disconnection of my current unit on Monday before delivery can take place. Fine, at least I'm hearing something. Friday comes and instead of a phone call I get an email from someone I have never talked to at head office telling me my dryer was being delivered in Tuesday. I am the first deliver and my time slot is between 9 and 12. Disconnection happens Monday as planned. Tuesday comes and I'm home from work again waiting.... Get a phone call telling me they will be here at 11:30. Sounds like first delivery to me. They were very nice though and extremely competent with what needed to be done. Though they do not install. I now had to wait for the same guy who disconnected to come back and reconnect. I had his number from when he called to arrange a time previously. He tells me he isn't planning on coming until the next morning (Wednesday). Yay another day home. Thanks Goemans. I asked if he had the rubber mounting strips that come with stacking kits as ours were mounted to our old unit and I was told they know what to do and would take care of it. He tells me he doesn't have any would have to find out what to do and would get back to me. I get a call that night from his colleague telling me he had some strips that would work and they would be by early the next morning. Thankfully all replaced and hooked up now. What an ordeal dealing with a head office who just want to brush you off and drag it out. They told me it could take weeks, Maytag tells me it shouldn't be longer than 3 days. Installation is a 3 day process. If it wasn't because of warranty we would have told them we would do it ourselves. Two weeks it took to get resolved. I could have ordered a brand new unit elsewhere and had it delivered in the time it took for them to service and exchange. I bought this because it was available immediately and we were supporting a North American company. Apparently my inconvenience and frustration with their head office brushing me off and not taking this seriously is ok because I got a new unit that was not a floor model. Thanks for not giving a crap about how your customer feels or how badly you are putting them out.

    A surprisingly exceptional expierience

Goemans was recommended to me by a professional kitchen installer friend of mine. He does all high end. I took his suggestion and went to Goemans, I found a sales guy named Gerald. I was very clear about what I needed. 36 inch counter depth fridge with ice/water on door, french doors, freezer on bottom, 2 stainless dishwashers with stainless tubs, a built in wine/beverage fridge, a stainless microwave and a 36 inch commercial (style) stove with a matching stainless canopy and min 600 CFPM blower. I told Gerald that my budget was $10,000 tax in and delivered to Collingwood. He laughed and I did too actually. He said that he would need to see what he could do and needed some time. In the meantime I told him I was going to shop around at a few other places and I gave him my number. I was very clear that I was prepared to do a deal that day and had an envelope of cash ready to go. I left to continue to go shopping elsewhere. Before I could get to my next location Gerald called me and said "joe, I cant do $10,000 but I can do $10,500. At that price his offer was A Fridgidaire fridge fitting the exact description, two Maytag high capacity stainless dishwashers, a 56 bottle built in wine fridge, a Stainless Panasonic Microwave, a beautiful commercial range hood and blower and in incredible AGA stainless 36 inch commercial stove. tax in delivered to my door. By my estimation I got about $4000 off of standard retail. Tax in, delivered to Collingwood. They were amazing in following up to confirm delivery, everything arrived today as they said it would, the drivers were excellent and everything was scratch and dent free. I would HIGHLY recommend Goemans to anyone who is looking for some nice new appliances.

    RETAIL / CUSTOMER SERVICE

Me and my family and mother in law went to the Goemans in Stoney creek to shop for some appliances. I am moving into a new home, so need the whole package. Mother in law is just replacing two of her current appliances. Upon arrival we met a very nice salesman and he showed us everything we had asked to see and what he would recommend. After some time we were still hesitant because we still wanted to shop around to other stores. He told us we had 30 days to price match or even cancel our order. So we put down a deposit. Now, since that 30 days is almost up, I decided to tell him of the price match AND MORE i got at Appliance Canada. Upon emailing to him, i was told he no longer worked there and i had to deal with the manager. So the receptionist told me the manager would call me today......oh behold! after waiting until almost 4pm! I WAS THE ONE WHO HAD TO CALL! I told him of what i was quoted with the other company and that i wanted to cancel my order and get my deposit back. (this order is not supposed to be delivered until the end of JUNE) So he gives me and my husband a hard time, not wanting to cancel my order and giving me the deposit back. (I figured because it is such a big order and every store needs to meet their quota.) Plus the two special orders that the previous salesman had put in on the invoice, and again told us we had 30 days to make any changes or cancelling to our order. NOW I WANT TO KNOW HOW I CAN CANCEL IT ALL AND GET MY DEPOSIT BACK! (there is nothing written on receipt or invoice about deposit refund or cancellations)
