Wow, talk about customer service and attention to detail! Brian is an amazing consultant and was willing to spend countless hours ensuring the correct solution was chosen. He even picked up the phone when i called him on the weekend. Honesty and integrity are the two words that best describe his work. From an implementation standpoint, Jeff was nothing short of amazing. Polite, honest and with a high attention for fit and finish. If you're looking for any form of home security don't look anywhere else. These guys are incredible.

Recently began the task of researching the augmentation of an evolving home security system. Having found the product line, type, and ongoing needs, I selected Pre-Lock Services, for several initial reasons. The product lines, and breadth of services offered met and exceeded initial requirements for our home. Without being overly verbose and hyperbolic, I called the firm, as directed by their website. Then the surprises began. An unmarked Black late model van, bereft of signage presented at my location within 45 minutes of the initial call. I had requested specifically Medeco product, based upon previous experience with Assa Abloy security devices. I was told by the firm, and the install tech that said hardware was a custom order because of sizing issues of a single cylinder lock, and that they in fact had superior product: notwithstanding my request for particular hardware. Mystery hardware was then installed, with a follow up for the next day to complete additional work. After the tech left I tried unsuccessfully to source the installed product. Without disparaging another manufacturer, what was installed wouldn't keep out fruit flies, or a breeze. Not what I wanted, or requested. Revisiting the Pre-lock web site, this particular hardware was not on the list of resources they represented, and fully supported. I called the firm, the next morning to attempt to understand heretofore what I did not. I was very fortunate to speak to Eva, who with patience, compassion, and concern about what had happened escalated my concerns to the ownership group; who called back within 15 minutes. I was not anticipating the President, a VP, and senior security tech to arrive, at my home, 45 minutes later, with the product, expertise, and recommendations for my peace of mind, and my family's. In closing, is is very obvious that everyone involved from Eva, to Paul Siedman, and his senior team, that they are very vested in the process, and their decades old legacy of providing products, service, and security solutions above and beyond my expectations, and price paid for same. I remained overwhelmed by the response, and will highly recommend this firm, for their approach, discipline, and peace of mind I enjoy because of this decision. If you want to be reassured that there is still a modicum of humanity, and compassion, in a very competitive business, call this firm. We’ve recently used Pre-Lock to increase our security and peace of mind of our home. We opted for a new lock and door guardians for the front and back doors, protective window film for the windows and an intercom/camera for the front door. From the start, Brian’s excellent customer care and extensive knowledge about home security made us feel comfortable about our choice in security options, as well as in Pre-Lock as a company. At no point during the process did we feel pressured into any particular product and Brian provided very frank pros and cons of each option. Brian went over and above by answering our questions before, during, and after our our initial meeting. He also made it a point to come out to the site while his team (Jason, Terry, and John) did the installations and followed up with us after. The team were very professional -- punctual, quick, and did a great job tidying up when they were finished. They also walked us through the features of the product before they left. Overall, we wouldn’t hesitate to contact Brian for future upgrades to our home security.

Slab Burgers is our burger joint we run only for a year in Yorkville, unfortunately, we need a lock due to privacy issue this week. I use homestar before for home inspection, the feedback match the service as describe, so this time, i just choose locks category and choose one of the highest rank and location close to me, which is this pre-lock. Reason I am willing to write this review I am asking for few more screws that I believe it takes me time to match in homedepot but the staff willing to spend another minute give those for me for free, seems does not worth a penny but I appreciate the intention, running a restaurant time is money, I am always in a hurry, the service and cost fit my mission this time.

I was very impressed with the professional service I got and very satisfied with the pricing and products we purchased. I also ended up installing a security system for our home and found it very easy to use and happy to refer the services of Pre-Lock to anyone. Follow up was great and interaction with Paul was wonderful.

Brian came by for a consultation on home security after we moved into a new place. He was on time and professional the entire visit. We ultimately went with a simple solution but appreciated that there was no up-selling or pressuring on Brian's part. The actual process to change the locks happened a couple of days later and with the exception of one minor issue which was resolved immediately, all went very well.

I have been and still an on going customer since 2003. I only wanted the best of the best, when it comes to quality, workmanship, service, experience, and knowledge. Look no further. They they meet my qualifications. My standards were high. So i hired them to protect, secure and have piece of mind for my family and i. I feel safe and secure at all times not only my alarm monitored with them but my door locks were switched with the locks they have to offer. They are solid locks. Their dead bolt locks.
