James was very proficient, friendly and down to earth. He explained everything in detail. As first time home buyers, we are grateful to have our home inspected by someone like James. We purchased our first home this past August, and don't have very much "handy man" knowledge. This being said James from Frontline Home Inspections came in to do our inspection, and he was ready to go right when we set up the appointment. It was a great experience, he was very thorough checking everything in the house, and spending the time to show us exactly what should be priority. With us having little experience with anything mechanical, James spent the extra time to show us how things like the furnace and water heater work, and how we should maintain. We feel a lot more at ease with the home now that he came and gave that extra little bit of help. We will be calling him again for future inspections.

It felt like James inspected our future home as if it was his future home. Focus was on what matters and explanations for all concerns. High integrity, thorough and personable. I would recomend Frontline to a friend.

The inspector was on time, knowledgable & friendly. The inspection was done within the time quoted. He is able to explain things from a technical level down to a very simple level. He was able to tell me what would be a safety issue, what concerns should be addressed first, & what could wait. He was willing to answer or explain any questions. The report was very comprehensive, easy to understand with pictures, and easy to navigate. I would highly recommend this inspector.

We hired James to do a house inspection recently. James arrived on time and worked through the whole house with us. He explained all the details and it took him more than 4 hours. A detailed report (~50 pages) was completed and sent to us 5 hours after the inspection. He even provided more guidance afterwards through phone. Overall, we highly recommend his service due to his attention to details, and positive attitude through out the whole process.

James has a very professional demeanor and was thoroug and detail oriented throughout the inspection. He articulated the causes of the deficiencies and was very good at describing how many of these could be prevented in the future with proper proactive measures. I believe James to be very skilled at what he does, and I feel I got great value from his services and advice.

We have recently moved to Calgary from Ottawa and hired James to assist us in inspecting not one, but three homes which we conditionally purchased during our house hunting process. James's manner is very frank and forthright - and he works expertly to cover every inch of your prospective new home. He explains building codes in a very clear manner and is able to assess quickly what idiosyncrasies are 'typical' and which ones mean trouble. James's inspection reports are similarly very clearly laid out with plenty of photos illustrating what needs fixing which is essential for communicating back to the seller exactly what the issues may have arisen. Not only this, but James's reports are delivered within hours of the inspection so you are able to get (and keep) your purchase on track. Not only were James's inspections fantastic, but his up beat personality and accessibility were remarkable. James does not leave you high and dry once the inspection is finished, he answered many questions for us on his own time and was always available to weigh in on questions which we weren't sure how to answer. Thanks to James, we (finally) found the right home, which, and you quite literally, saved us thousands of dollars in what would have been hidden disastrous repairs down the line (think mold and rotting window panes - just to start). In short, after 3 home inspections with James, we can't recommend him enough. He really sets the standard, and you can feel confident knowing that if James gives your home his seal of approval that the house is definitely worth buying!

When looking for our new home, we used Frontline Home Inspections twice to make sure we were buying a home that was in reasonable shape. The first inspection made us back out of the deal, the second confirmed that this was the home for us! Both experiences were very good - James was on time, very knowledgeable, professional and thorough. He answered our questions in a logical and helpful manner. We learned a lot about various systems within a home, and the basics about maintenance as well. We received a very detailed report detailing all the recommendations for our new home, including numerous helpful pictures and diagrams. James was more than willing to answer future questions as well. We certainly felt our money was well spent, and would not hesitate to use this company again in the future should the need arise!

I'm very satisfied with his service. He was very professional and honest. His work was very thorough. He took time to explain and point out the areas that need repairing or could cause a major issue, which was really help me making the decision about purchasing the property or not. This will be my first investment property in Calgary. I will definitely use his service again for my next purchase.
