First time using Big Valley and was very impressed. The technician Terry was very informative, knowledgeable and efficient. Is a great teacher with apprentices. Everyone from reception to techs to owners are very friendly. Would highly recommend Big Valley to anyone. Thank you. Pam & Jon Johnson.

I would not deal with anyone else for my heating and gas services. their prices are fair market value and they have very knowledgable and friendly staff both in and out of the office. They helped me promptly with 2 emergency situations and on no occasion have they tried to upsell me. They tell me what I need and try to help me manage my costs. Most of all I have found all of the staff have the utmost integrity.

I can't say enough about the effort that Ron from Big Valley put into sorting the problems out with a furnace installed by another company. They go above and beyond to try to solve the issues. If I have one "complaint" it is only about the communication flow when you leave messages. But I would recommend this company to everyone. I also used them when overseeing the renos on my grandson's house, for new hot water tank and furnace repairs. Excellent work ethic - something not often found these days.

As part of a basement reno, I needed to have the supply and return ducts changed out and also moved closer to the floor joist to allow for maximum head clearance. Big Valley did a great job of this. In addition I had bathroom exhaust fan ducting installed as well as the range hood ducting. They did these and everything was fine, what I didn't like was the 30° elbows on both runs just before they hit the exterior wall when they could have gone straight out the wall if they had piloted out the hole before drilling the big 6" hole. Minor, but I've always been told to only add elbows when 100% needed and in this case I didn't see the need other than the 6" was drilled first, then the ducting added after. I talked to the sales guy and was asked to send pictures but never heard back. That said, everything is working fine and neither the bathroom fan or the range hood seem to be making more noise than they should. Again, just a little detail that I find separates "the best" from "the rest". I think if they had followed up with me after I sent the pictures, explaining why they had to put these elbows in, it would have showed me they appreciated my business, but since they didn't, I felt like they had their money they were done with me. This is too bad as I'm now looking for a furnace and AC unit but will now shop around to see if there are better options in Maple Ridge before contacting them for a quote.

We got a tankless hot water heater about a year ago and the pilot light kept going out. My husband called for service and was not advised of the call-out cost. The service man was here for 5 minutes and basically dusted a part in the unit. We were SHOCKED to receive a bill for $126 and when I called to discuss the bill I was told that someone would call me back. They called back to say the bill stands as is and when I offered my constructive feedback that perhaps they should advise customers of the price of a call-out ahead of time, I was scoffed at. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. We spent A LOT of money on the unit and expect better service. Will not be using Big Valley ever again.

where does a person start! Install went great,after 1 month pellet stove did not work properly. Phoned Big Valley to come have a look. The man their stated they didn't have anyone that knew anything about pellet stoves but told me to take apart and check a few things. I did this. After looking at it I phoned back to tell him I wasn't comfortable working on it and that it is new and under warranty.He told me to take it to the place that made it. Shocked at this I did it. The maker was surprised and said you have to go through the "certified installer " where I bought it from. They phoned for me. After a day I phoned big valley again. They said they would come right out. Well after 3 days of -6 weather I phoned another company to look at it. All good now. I phoned reception at big valley and emailed them about this. She" said sorry about that" and we parted ways no further action. Im glad Im not an old person counting on heat. The manufacturer has honored the warranty and another stove company has since offered to to the work under this. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS IF YOU WANT HEAT!

Late delivery and wrong product. Don't shop here! Very poor service and poor product knowledge. Was told stove was made in Canada but when it arrived a week late had Made in China written all over it .

We needed to have someone hook up our existing bathroom fan to our newly-installed roof cap, and was recommended to Big Valley. They were great. Very knowledgeable, reasonably priced, courteous. The installer, Terry, was quick, professional, and pointed out that our roof cap was possibly leaking (brand new roof job!) so that ended up saving a lot of damage. He hooked up insulated ductwork very quickly with no mess. I`d recommend Big Valley for any ventilation needs. They seem like the experts around here (Maple Ridge).

I like the quality work the people in this company give their customers! They are always knowledgeable on the best way to install not only the vents for our renovations, but also the gas pipes for the new house. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone who wanted dependable quick service. Wes is always prompt and does great work!

We got this company to do our furnace servicing as we had in the past. We were very displeased at first because they did not show up in the timeline they had given us. I called the company and they ended up offering us the service at 50% off. The manager was very helpful and the service we got in the end was great.
