    Poor Quality and Service

    Sadly, here is our experience with Verdun Windows and Doors. The worst quality and service experience of any supplier in our lifetime! Our project was to replace 24 windows and 2 patio doors in our home, so a big project for us. Final order placed on Jan 19th 2022, install start planned for May 30th, moved to June 20th, with a plan to complete in 4 days, but it continued until July 2022. On July 11th 2022, Service Tech arrived with Sales and took notes on issues. (1 defective window to be replaced, 1 window built incorrectly so not installed, 14 thermals/panes manufactured with wrong grill size, large Patio door missing screen, another window with a screen that would not fit, many of the opening casement windows could not fully open without hitting the frame screws due to manufacturing issues, missing cover for casement crank on one window). This is a substantial list of issues for one project and we were promised Verdun would get on top of this. On Sep 6th 2022, we received a request from Sales to clarify what needs to be corrected, again. We sent a detailed email on Sept 7th and added the Service manager to our reply as requested. On Sept 12th we were informed our replacement window order was just placed 3 months after they took notes of all issues and at that point none of the reported issues were fixed. Verdun made service visits on Nov 24, 2022 and March 7, 2023 were some issues were corrected and then had staff planned for July 17th and Aug 7th (both cancelled by Verdun due to staff availability) and we still have the following list of items open 1 year after installation (1 Defective window, 5 windows with grill/improper fit issues of which one is leaking. There appears to be no easily accessible escalation path to management or a complaint department in the company. It seems they don't really want to hear from their customers.

    2Bedroom window replacements

    We had 2 windows replaced. Sales person was pleasant, knowledgeable and forth right in estimation of timeline. Several emails were sent to remind me that we werent forgotten and office personnel phoned to inform me of installation date. Installers were efficient and never took a break over the four hours that they spent here. They did an excellent job, cleaning up as they went along. Very impressed with installers as well as the whole process.

    Installed 3 Sliding Windows

    Though it took several months for the windows to be manufactured the install was done quickly and efficiently. - very professional and very pleased with the service.

    Window replacement

    We ordered the window in May 2022. The salesman informed us that it would be approximately 9 months before it was installed. This was due to the Pandemic. During the whole waiting process we were kept informed of the situation. We were called on a Friday afternoon and asked if we could have the window installed on Monday. The two installers were friendly and professional. After the window was installed they cleaned up the entire room and area. I would highly recommend Verdun

    Professional and Pleasant

    We contacted Verdun Windows and Doors because we saw them working in several of our neighbors. They gave us an estimate and did not change it (no surprises). The company is busy but responsive. The installers knew what they were doing and they did not cut corners. They worked diligently and made sure that everything was done right. We are satisfied with their work and I would use them again without hesitation.

    Replacement of all the windows in our house

    July 20, 2023 Our project finally ended today. It involved the replacement of all the windows in our house. That is to say, 16 openings: 10 awning windows, 3 sliding windows, 2 awning windows with frosted glass and 1 patio door. We wanted 3 layers of glass. After discussion and agreement, the work began on April 18 and 19, 2023. Everything could be completed except 3 windows which had to be reordered. The installation of the new windows and moldings were carried out with care. The windows are top quality. We also greatly appreciated the conscientious work of the installer, Benoit. His comments, as well as his suggestions to improve the appearance of our house regarding the windows seen from the outside. Moreover, all the staff who came to our home were courteous and attentive. In summary, the quality of the products, and the installation service are the reasons we have no hesitation in recommending this company. Doris and Gilbert Gatineau

    Window Replacement

    When I ordered my windows last summer, I was told there would be a few months wait. Well, it was worth the wait. I love the new windows! Our salesperson, Mike, was very easy to deal with. I changed my mind about the size of one of our windows after Id signed my contract, and Mike was able to accommodate this change easily. He even came back to measure again for the new size. There was some confusion about the installation date, and it was changed a couple of times. However, the installation team was absolutely stellar! I cant say enough good things about them. The installation took place over 2 days, and they were so meticulous even putting in the new trim. I love the warranty, and I love the fact that a single company does the manufacturing, installing and servicing. I havent had to make a service call yet, but I may have to when our other renovations slow down. A couple of the screen inserts do not seem to fit properly and they leave a small gap where insects can fly in. Perhaps it is a user error in any case, when I do call about this, I feel very optimistic that it will be easily addressed thats how much confidence I have in this company.
