My wife and I are retired and replacing all the windows and doors in our home is a huge financial undertaking, so we chose with great care. We saw numerous samples but were most impressed with Verdun's products, their prices, and the people we dealt with along the way. Salesman, Mike, understood that we wanted to approach the project in pieces starting with a large dining room window and a smaller one in the kitchen. We chose these two to start because we they are very visible on a daily basis and would give us a chance to "live" with them before our next order. He was very patient in explaining the products and answering our many questions in a manner that couild be easily understood, and never pressured us in any way. He gave us the impression he was willing to stay as long as we needed to address all of our concerns. The windows were completed per schedule, then delivered and installed during the week leading up to Thanksgiving. The installers were most professional and pleasant to deal with, and took the time to explain everything about the product before thoroughly cleaning up and leaving. They came in the morning and completed the job by noon. Not only were we pleased with our purchase, but with Thanksgiving celebrations at our home this year, everyone who came instantly gravitated to the new windows and were very impressed with the quality and design. Would we recommend Verdun? We made some twenty recommendations in the first week alone --- and we will be placing our next order soon.

We decided to go with Verdun Doors & Windows for the installation of our new windows. The service was fantastic and price unbeatable! The installalers were knowledgeable and worked very efficiently, we would highly recommend them. Another thing worth mentioning is that they didn't leave a huge mess behind for me to clean up. It was refreshing to come home to not only beautiful new windows, but minimal clean up after wards. Thanks again Verdun - We love our new windows!

This was our first experience with replacing windows and doors. We compared between four different companies and decided to go with Verdun Windows and Doors since they had the best prices and their staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The salesperson that came to our house to make an estimate was very nice and did not pressure us to make a commitment right away. We decided to have our 3 doors replaced as well as 6 windows. On the day of installation, the workers showed up early, fully equipped and ready to do their job. They worked efficiently and were very courteous. They were also more than willing to answer all of our questions. They worked really well as a team and were able to finish the installation in a matter of a few hours. Once completed, they made sure to clean up, inside and out. We are very satisfied with the quality of the windows and doors as well as the service we received. We would recommend this company to family and friends.

My house was built in the mid 80s and needed new windows and doors. Since I never bought windows and doors in the past, I contacted 4 different companies which dropped by to give me estimates. The best price was by far Verdun; I must also say that the saleman was very knowledgeable, no pressure, very kind and even encourage me to shop around so I would find by myself they have the best product and prices. The delivery date was 6 weeks after the purchase and they were on time with all the windows and doors. The installers were very professional; they were revy courteous, they installed all the windows and doors just in 1 day. They were very meticulous to make sure that everything was impeccable. They clean up every thing completely nbefore they left. Now I understand why Verdun has been in that business since 1967; they deliver quality product and service as advertise. Incredibly Impressed! Our home was built in the 1950s and still had the original siding and windows. The windows were the old style with the moving panels of glass and very akward to open locks. Not only were they not very nice to look at, more then 30% of the windows didn't open properly anymore. The siding on our house had been re-painted 5 years ago, and was flaking and pealing all over. Overall the house drastically needed a face lift. When taking on such a large project it was really important for us to choose the right company. We knew that Verdun Windows and Doors had a great reputation in Ottawa. Once we met with their salesman (Dominic) we knew we were dealing with the right guys. Not only did he know his product and the industry extremely well, he had some great suggestions. He suggested we enlarge one of the windows in our bedroom, and after doing this it has made a "HUGE" improvement in the room. We placed the order for 17 windows & a complete siding redo. Three weeks later their installation crew was ready! Dominic had given me the option to have an eco-energy audit done on the house first so that we could take advantage of a new government program that was put in place. We also wanted to see how dramatic the difference would be in energy conservation. The gentleman did a blower test on the house only to find that we had a pretty significant air leak. It was amazing to stand in the house and see the amount of air that was traveling through the house. Their installation crew arrived at 8:30 with a trailer filled with our new windows! Their installation crew was like watching a fine oiled machine. We've done a lot of renovations, and never had we seen such an organized and professional crew. All our new windows (17) including 4 very large windows were installed on the first day! The next stage was the siding. This made the biggest most dramatic change to the house. Imagine our house before was painted an off white with paint pealing everywhere. Their installation team did an incredible job! The quality of their work on such a large job was fantastic. They even went above and beyond my expectations by creating some special boxes to cover some ugly cable/phone boxes at the back of the house. We also had a very large vertical power bar running up the side of the back of the house which they were able to disguise! All in all our experience was A++. We would highly recommend Verdun to anyone looking at doing a window and siding project. We could have have asked for a better end product!! Thanks Dom, Alex & the rest of the Verdun Team!

Excellent company. Love their "no bull" approach. Their receptionist is EXTREMELY nice, sales guy was very nice and straightforward. Installers were here on time, did the work quickly and cleaned up nicely. We did have their repair guy come by to check something out, he was also very nice. I pointed out what I thought was simply a cosmetic flaw but was bothering me) and he said that one of our casement windows will have to be replaced. No bull, no trying to put the blame elsewhere. Just simply "that's not how it's supposed to be, I will order the glass and part in and replace it". LOVE it. Had the job priced by 4 other companies and they were the most reasonable. Their warranty is really what sold us as well. 100%, 20 years, transferable, labour, parts. No fine print, just 6 words.

Very pleased with windows. Workers were clean and polite. Recommended them to my next door neighbor as well. Have noticed the difference especially on cold nights and the following morning. Looking forward to seeing the total hydro savings in the coming months.

good customer service, the price point was good and i shopped around. very knowledgeable installers. quality was good and their timliness was as expected. the installers were very friendly. just took one day and the end product is as expected. would recommend

We had our windows and doors installed by Verdun Doors and Windows and not only was the service exceptional, the whole staff from sales to installation were amazing !!!!! We shopped 4 different companies and were refered to Verdun by friends of ours and the prices were more than competitive. We dealt directly with a manufacturer and didn't have any major issues. Only one small thing was that a glass cracked while they were installing and the boys called it in right away, the plant remade a new glass for us immediately for the guys to bring the next day which they did and replaced. The office noticed that we were overcharged about 125$ on our invoice for a product they didn't use and refunded us immediately. I even had to step out for a doctors app't one afternoon and was not scared to leave the house unattended. They even waited until I got back to leave to get some needed materials because extra work had to be done on a rotted window frame and they never charged us the $70 extra they spent for this. Amazing and proffesional !!! Thanks Verdun, to Gen and Mike and Dan for the great service !!! Especially Gen who co ordinated everything from day one to the last day ... and Dan who was honest to call me and let me know we were overcharged. Deanne
