Please see pictures attached. After installation of a new side entry door I immediately contacted the salesman to inform him that I could see daylight around door. It seemed that the door was too small for the frame, as there was a significant gap between the door and the jam. The response from the salesman was dismissive, simply sending a reply that there wasn't anything he could do about it, but he would pass my concerns on to the service department. When the installation supervisor came a few days later, he said it was just the sunlight shining through the magnetic seal. JUST daylight shining through the seal? The seal might keep the wind from blowing into the house, but how much insulation value does a piece of magnetized plastic have? I showed him our front door, a 15 year old builder grade style, and pointed out that the spacing between the door and the jam was about half of the new "quality custom" Kempenfelt door. He said that the builder door was actually too tight. That's right, he felt that the old builder door needed MORE of a gap, I suppose so it would let in daylight like the great one that had just been installed. We are now replacing our front door, and there is ZERO chance that I will consider Kempenfelt. They claim they are voted #1 in Barrie. By who? They say their warranty is the best, 25 years on the whole door, but what good is a 25 year warranty when you aren't happy from day one, and the company thinks there is no problem. They offered to have the manufacturer contact me to "explain" about the product. I didn't choose or contract with the manufacturer. I paid my money to Kempenfelt. The product we received should never have passed quality control, as I doubt that the spacing tolerance is within acceptable limits for energy rating. Very unhappy with the product and the lack of motivation on the part of the company to advocate on behalf of their customer with the manufacturer to get a door that would keep out the cold of a Canadian winter. Don't be fooled by marketing and promises.

We had Kempenfelt Windows come in and install a door. They did good work but the door warped and we couldn’t get it to open or close. I think they did a great job in terms of labour but they should’ve been more upfront about their product and the history of the door. They were here again last week so we"ll see how the door works out this time.

I actually heard about Kempenfelt windows on the radio, I called them in and they did five windows and a door for me. They were fantastic. Very clean and always on time. Haha the only thing I could wish for is having the rest of my windows done for the same price! (haha) I’m kidding but in all honesty they did an excellent job

I saw some local advertising for Kempenfelt windows and decided to go with them. They replaced two windows and I really can’t complain about them, they did a very good job.

I’ve used Kempenfelt Windows on two occasions and for both of them they did a wonderful job. I had them replace some back windows and then I had them replace these huge picture windows which were about 50 years old and completely cracked. Somehow they managed to get this large piece of glass about (15 by 8 ft) put in without a scratch! They were just so courteous. To sum it all up, my dog loved them and you know when a dog likes you, you’re golden.

Kempenfelt windows did a great job. A couple of people recommended them to me and I had an overall good experience with them. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The installation crew were punctual and made sure the grounds were cleaned up. All procedures were followed through precisely. I can't complain about that.

Kempenfelt replaced all the windows on the main floor for our brick bungalow and although there were a few slight problems, overall they did pretty good work. They said what they were going to do and they did it. When I was shopping around to replace my windows I went to a few showrooms and out of the many that I saw, Kempenfelt were the friendliest. They did a good job. I am happy with my new windows.

Kempenfelt put in a side door and the kitchen window and they were just terrific. I think I saw different advertisement signs around the neighborhood and thought I’d give them a try, so glad that I did. They were very meticulous in the way that they worked and work very clean. They couldn’t have done a better job. We had used them before a few years back and it only made sense to use them again because they were just so great the first time.

Kempenfelt Windows came in and replaced all the windows in the house and our patio door.They did an awesome job. They all had great senses of humor but were also very professional. They had a team of five and each one of them had a job to do. It was almost like an assembly line. After they finished in one room one of the guys was ready to vacuum and pick up all the drop clothes. They used a ton of drop clothes and always made sure to pick them up afterward. Even before we started the project we had been shopping around for the right company and Kempenfelt had a great professional demonstration. Not once did I feel pressured to hire them, I hired from them because what they presented to me just seemed so great! At the end of the project the owners wife came by to see if everything was okay and that really made me feel as if they cared about me as a customer.

Kempenfelt did a fantastic job for me! They installed 6 upper floor windows and from top to bottom they did great work. The inside trim looked amazing. I had them do some work for me before and was glad to call them again.
