We were originally going to go with a carpet company in Airdrie, until I stumbled across some terrible reviews on this site. So it was suggested we go to End of the Roll (NE location). We were so happy we did! No only did they beat the price by $2200!! Pam was incredibly helpful picking out selections and the guys that did the floors did a great job and quickly too! I have already recommended them to a neighbor.Review from Paul Hannania Paul Hannania

Helped by Ron in store (NE Calgary). Was able to produce an accurate estimate of final cost including underlay and install in 10 seconds from the choice of carpet we pointed out. Was able to have it installed within 24 hours. Install done by Colby. He was polite, professional and thorough, (e.g. no need to hammer down any grippers after the job), and I am very pleased with the result. HIGHLY recommend.Answer from pro:

Bad experience from the start...my fiance and I walked into the store and waited about 15 min for someone to help us. Once someone did find us, they gave us very limited info on the different carpets, so we just ended up picking one based on the color. We redid our whole upstairs carpet, and it looked great for about a month after it was done, but now it looks completely different (flat, rippled, and just old...even though its been less than a year). If someone had educated us on the carpet and told us that it would look like that after while, we would have spent a bit more for a more durable carpet. Not only that, the installer was pretty unprofessional..I was at home during the time he was putting in the carpet and he spent most of the time on his phone jokining with his buddies and making plans for the weekend. That might explain why our carpet is a rippled mess right now, with at least 10 deep ripples in the carpet...the kind you almost trip over. He also left carpet shavings everywhere so I had to spend 2 hours vacumming up the mess. Also, there were staples sticking up from the stairs which my young son cut his feet on. Had to spend another hour finding those spots and fixing them. The only good thing is that its been under a year since the carpet was installed, so they fix it for free. That was hard enough to arrange as well, as I called the office no less than 5 times before someone finally arranged an appointment to come fix it. Overall, I'm not impressed. We will be using a different company to do our basement when the time comes.Answer from pro:
Hi Holly, We're very sorry to hear that you've had such a negative experience with not only the product, but the installer as well. Would you like to be contacted by the owner of our Calgary location at all to discuss further? Please email your feedback and contact details to our customer service department at lisa@endoftheroll.com and someone will be in touch with you. Our apologies, sincerely. We were looking for new flooring ideas, but needed suggestions and help. We walked in and received a quote on the spot. He showed us various styles & price points, was honest about the best bang for our buck, and about what would most likely be best for our needs. We came in under budget and even have some boxes left over.Answer from pro:

After our house was destroyed by fire, we built a new house that required carpet on the upper floor and in the finished basement. I searched online for the type of carpet I wanted and then went looking for the best price. The company that my builder sent me to was outrageously expensive at over $30,000 so I kept looking. I got a quote from another well known carpet company at $22,000 which I thought was pretty good and was going to buy from them. I then went to the Home Show and there was a booth by End of the Roll and told them my situation. They simply asked me to allow them to quote too although I had felt my mind was made up. (I didn't tell them the price I already had.) Kyle looked at the job, priced the carpet I wanted, etc and came back with an installed price of $16,000. They did the installation and it was excellent, on time, well done, and more importantly, gave me outstanding service afterwards when I had some questions. Kyle is upfront and approachable and I would definitely suggest anyone wanting carpet talk to Kyle at End of the Roll.Answer from pro:

We were getting new bedroom furniture and decided that since the room would be empty it would be a good time to replace the carpet. We decided to do the three bedrooms at the same time. We had a very specific time frame for when the room would be empty and many companies could not meet the deadline. End of the Roll was very helpful in store, they could accommodate our time frame and were informative in what would work best for us. They have a large selection and we were happy in what we chose. The installers were very polite and efficient, in fact we thought it would take longer but they knew what they were doing and did it well. The rooms look great now, amazing what just a change of carpet can do!
