    Humidifier

    I found him through Homestar , glad to hire him . Not only he did install humidifier professionally, but also price wise was the best compare to others. He is well communicated, organized and ontime, i would recommend him to HVAC issues.

    Repair of Tankless Water Heater

    I've used House Depot once before and Mark has been very good both times. He is friendly and communicates well, especially if running behind or delayed. This particular time I found leak coming from my tankless water heater. He offered to come the same day but since the leak was small and slow we scheduled for the following morning. He arrived on time, found the cause of the issue and contacted the manufacturer for technical info. Went out and purchased the required parts, returning to repair later that day. Considering the time spent diagnosing the problem, speaking with the manufacturer and getting the part I think the price for my repair was quite fair and the system has worked great since.

    Always reliable and stands by his work!

    Home comfort is important with four children in our home. I've dealt with other providers in the past and House Depot Home Services is by far the best! They are always reliable and will stand by the quality of their work.

    Replaced Furnace and fixed Humidifier

    This month, Mark did the following for me and my family: - Came and investigated a leak and found several sources, all of which were fixed. There were literally several sources of leaks. It was unlikely but true and Mark persevered through, fixing them one at a time, coming back every time a new leak sprung up from another unrelated source. It was something else. - Put in a brand new furnace. He replaced the whole furnace, labour and all, all in, for 2600. Deal. Mark is always responsive and treats you with the highest priority when you have an issue. I have trusted him for years and thank him and his team for the invaluable work they have done in my home. Everyone should have someone like Mark to call when a major appliance starts misbehaving. Mark, you are a gem.

    External Potlight replacement, Dimmer installation, switch replacement

    Called ahead of time to understand projects and discuss quotes. Flexible timing by providing a few options. showed up slightly ahead of time. Helped determine potlight size and then narrow down compatibility when I sent pictures from HomeDepot The technician wore a mask, he was very polite and clean. He helped clean out nest debris from 3 families of birds from a missing potlight location. He also helped fix a small issue with our cabinet lighting, which wasn't initially discussed. I would definitely recommend.

    AC and Bathroom Fan repair

    House depot expertly diagnosed the problem with my air conditioner and was able to repair it quickly, saving me a lot of hassle in the process. He was also able to solve an issue I had with a noisy bathroom fan during the same visit. Amazing work, thanks!

    Furnace Checkup

    I contacted House Depot Home Services on basis of the reviews here as I was having issues with heating in the house. While I spoke with the first person, they said Mark is the technician and I should speak with him. I called Mark and he said he will be able to come the same day in the evening to check up. Around the time, I messaged Mark to see if he is coming, I received a reply from another number confirming the visit. It turned out however that it was the other person who was visiting and not Mark. That should have given me some clue for what was about to come. The person was very pleasant and said will look in to the issue. Upon checking he found that the heating was not working because heating and cooling were working on the same time due to some wiring issue in the thermostat. They said they will fix the issue and it should work fine as there were no issues detected with the furnace itself. After an hour and half, they said, they have been able to identify the mismatched wires and have fixed the issue, while rewiring the thermostat with the correct combination of wires. Upon checking with them it looked like both heating and cooling were working fine. Upon asking the charges, I was asked to pay $320 (which included distance charges which I found weird) which while steep but I obviously still paid it off. The next morning, I realized the cooling was not working and when I change the thermostat to cooling mode, AC unit was not switching on. I called them again and told of the issue and they said they will come and check the issue and if it's something that was my fault, I will have to pay. As I had not touched anything neither the AC nor the thermostat since the evening on previous day, I was confident it wasn't something that I did. The same person arrived and checked everything again and basically found that the thermostat wire which they had installed had come off. I am not sure how that was deemed my fault as they were the ones who had rewired and reinstalled the thermostat. I was asked to pay $100 for their visit which I paid while telling them that I did not appreciate their business practices and was not happy paying for it. They had an interesting offer for me where if I were to write a positive review for them on HomeStars, I would get $50 discount! I declined and said it's just bribing in a form to get a positive review. While I paid the $100, they one more time confirmed that they will transfer back $50 back if I write a positive review. I do not appreciate or condone such business practices and said I will be writing an honest review. While the person who visited was excellent and very pleasant, I would probably not use them again because of their business practices and the practice of providing discounts for positive reviews as it basically raises a question on all the positive reviews even though they may have been genuine.

    New circuit addition on an old panel

    The House Depot team was very responsive in providing a quote and was available to work almost immediately. They quoted a fair price and kept me updated through the whole process. They added a new circuit for me on a new panel and ran it up to the second floor quickly. Exactly what I needed them for. When they finished up they even checked some of my work to confirm it was up to snuff. Thank you House Depot

    falling fan

    My bedroom ceiling fan fell dow in the middle of the night and was hanging by its wires. I found House Depot on Homestars and called them first thing in the morning. James was here in an hour, got the fan down and sorted out the wires. I’ve asked him back to install the new fan. James was very nice and did the work quickly, neatly and obviously did an excellent job. I recommend House Depot highly.
