We had the pleasure of ordering a fridge from CAS at the start of May. As with any major appliance purchase, the sales team was super pleasant and confidently assured us that we would have the fridge by the end of May, and theyd give us a call to confirm a few days prior as a reminder. Because our current fridge was broken, we asked for assurance that the delivery date was firmly set, and the service representative assured us that this fridge would be here on the promised date. This assurance was the only reason we chose CAS, since other companies had delivery dates in the order of 3-4 months. We asked why CAS was different from these companies and the representative relayed that a shipment was coming into BC in mid-May, hence they could deliver the fridge any day after May 16th. We paid our down-payment, waited until the promised date.
There was no call and there was no fridge.
After multiple calls, I finally managed to get in touch with the sales representative, who assured us that there was just a slight delay but the fridge was already in BC, so it would be in town in a week for sure. She would call us before the delivery date. Again, no call, after more phone calls and emails I managed to catch her and she confirmed again that it would be delivered on a set date and time at the start of June. We committed to living another week or two on fruits and cereals.
The promised day came and went, no call, no fridge.
I emailed and called again every few days until I got a rote email back stating that there was a delay, there was a new delivery date in a month. This week, the delivery date has been pushed back another month on their website, with no notification as to why. I have left multiple voice messages over the last 2 weeks asking to connect and explain why the delivery never came, but there has been no reply from the sales person who is my only contact at this company.
Every two days I get an email from the website asking to confirm a delivery time-frame, which appears to be a cheap joke, since it has 0 relation to any delivery reality.
In summary: do NOT trust what the sales associates tell you. They have no commitment to following through on their promises and cannot coordinate an appliance delivery. They could have been honest and forthright initially by saying they dont know when they can get the product, instead they constantly string you along with promises of itll be here soon followed by oops, oh yeah, we didnt deliver as promised without any honest answer regarding where the heck my fridge is and when I will get it.
