I found this company after hearing them on radio and then reading the reviews on Homestars. We hired them a few months ago to transform our main floor and transform it they did. The team headed by Caio and Elia were communicative and easy to reach and the workmanship was wonderful. Thank you for your help and we will be calling again for our bathroom. All the best, Steve

I had a very bad experience with this company and in particular with the contractor assigned to my job (Caio). The quote was the highest of 4 that I received but I went with them because of a personal recommendation and thinking that I was paying for service and quality workmanship. In my opinion both the quality of work and level of service that I received was poor. It seemed that Caio paid little or no attention to the job. Over the approximately six month period that it took to complete the job (which likely could have taken just a month or two), I saw Caio at my home maybe twice after he provided the initial quote, there were delays in his responses to my emails and calls went unanswered. I definitely would not recommend this company/Caio.

It was a pleasure to work with the Home Improvement People. I very much appreciated the way they did their costing and it was very clear on what was included and what it would cost to add on. The quality of the work was top-notch and we are very pleased with the outcome of the renovation. As well they did everything they promised to do and in the stated time-frame. The office staff were friendly and helpful and could be reached through email which made it easier than phone. Payment schedule was clear and easy to pay. If you are looking help with design I think you would need to tell them that and also be sure to understand who would pick up the materials. I would definitely use HIP again and recommend them to friends.

We purchased a large condo that needed a complete overhaul: kitchen, 2 1/2 bathrooms, flooring and painting throughout, lighting, etc. The entire reno, from demolition through to completion took 2 months. We were thrilled beyond words when HIP proved to be reliable, professional, organized and responsive. Larry, Charlotte and the entire team was a pleasure to work with and we can't say enough good things. We highly recommend HIP!

Having heard of and experienced nightmares with home renovators in the past, particularly in terms of reliability, I've been very pleased with this experience. The quality of work has been excellent, the contractors were professional and reliable, and everything that was promised was delivered on time and as promised. I've also never seen home improvement work carried out so neatly before. We are extremely happy with our bathroom and with the overall experience.

We bought a house last year and we wanted a huge transformation at the house. I wanted an open space as much as possible and the team of Home Improvement made it happen. Elia and Caio team are very professional, and despite all the obstacles they did an amazing job. I think the pictures shows better than any words. Thank you Elia and Caio for making this dream come true. An outstanding kitchen, a beautiful floor, an amazing bathrooms. Every single thing they did is wonderful and everybody who enters in our house are delighted.

We did our bathroom reno in our condo back in January 2017 and after gathering quotes from 3 companies we chose Home Improvement People. Elia came out to meet us for our initial consultation and he just made us feel so relaxed and comfortable. We told him we wouldn't move forward without meeting the project manager, as I wanted to make sure we clicked with this person. A few weeks later Elia returned with Gerhard (Project Manager). It was a great meeting. Gerhard was able to answer some of our questions regarding a bench that we wanted. He took some measurements and then we had a discussion and both Elia and Gerhard made us feel really comfortable. A few days later Gerhard emailed us a detailed list of what items we needed to purchase and how much tiles we would need, and suggested stores to shop at. Any time we had a question we just sent him an email and usually within that day he responded. Now we had originally set a date of January 3rd but due to an unexpected surgery we had to postpone things. I called Elia and he was so great on the phone. He was extremely understanding and was more concerned about us than rescheduling the date. We moved the date to 3 weeks later and they accommodated us with no problems at all. Fast forward to the start date of the reno. We met Nadia, John and Neil at 9am as discussed. Neil was going to be our new project manager as Gerhard had a family emergency. It wasn't a problem at all. Neil was just as great as Gerhard. That morning they showed up and were ready to get started. They covered our floor to protect it and put up a plastic to keep the dust out of our sleeping area. They worked 9am - 5pm (as per condo rules) and did a great job keeping the noise level down. Nadia and John were so neat and tidy. They did everything they could to minimize the dust and noise we would have to deal with. At the end of each day they swept the floor and made sure they left our unit clear of any clutter. Throughout the reno we hit a few snags; we wanted a niche on the largest wall but we were unable to get that. They showed us why and gave us alternatives. Even then I wasn't sure so Nadia pulled up pictures from another job and that really helped us see that we had other options. We went along with Nadia's suggestion and never regretted it. We now have our niche and we love it. Throughout the reno they would stop and call us into the bathroom to confirm where we wanted certain things to go (towel rack, mirror, lighting, etc.). They never made a decision for us, we were involved every step of the way. Nadia and John make a great team and we just felt like we were in great hands the entire time. Overall the job took 6 1/2 business days! We were stunned. We recently had family and friends doing bathroom renos and their jobs took almost 3 months to complete. We were nervous and expected the job to probably last 3 weeks. To be done in just over a week was a phenomenal. We even realized a few days after the reno that we positioned the over the toilet cabinet too high and that the bathroom door was sticking. We emailed Elia and he sent John and Nadia back over that week to lower the cabinet for us and fix the door. No questions asked, just a quick repair and it was done. The only disappointing part of the reno was the shower door company we used. We ordered the door and they said 2 - 3 weeks and we waited 7 weeks to get the door. This is no fault of Home Improvement People. They gave us a list of suggested companies and we made the decision ourselves. When we realized we were starting to have issues with the shower door company we did reach out to Elia and he immediately emailed that company and requested to be attached to all future emails regarding the delay. Elia didn't have to do that but he did and I am sure it helped. Although we are still dealing with some small issues with the shower door, Elia has been with us every step of the way and holding the company accountable. Home Improvement People Inc. have been great from beginning to end and we can't wait to reach out to Elia when we are ready to start our kitchen reno. We are just hoping that Nadia and John do kitchens too because their attention to detail was impeccable. Thanks so much Elia, Nadia, John, Neil and Gerhard. Great job! Ann-Marie & Jacquie

The team at home improvement were fantastic to deal with. The ideas and inspirations they offered were above and beyond what we had envisioned for the basement. The quality of craftsmanship is second to none, we are extremely pleased with our basement. We would highly recommend them to our friends and family.

Had my bathroom shower redone. The guys showed up when they were supposed to and finished on time and within my budget. I'm very happy and have already recommended them to my friends. Thanks Dan and Ben!

I cant say enough good things about this company. This is the second time I've used them. Two things stand out: Gerhard and his team's sensitivity in keeping the disruption and mess to an absolute minimum, AND the company's professionalism. Simply put, this is a real company, and a real business. Gerhard and his team are polite, low impact, put on booties to come in and out of the house, and dont talk loudly on the phone while they are working. Dan came on time for the appointment, and was a pleasure to deal with, even though the scope of work changed in the middle (as it always does). Their tile layer has a great touch and all the grout lines are straight. would absolutely recommend
