Hi - I am writing about the great service and workmanship I had with Home Improvement People and specifically with Mike and his Team of craftsmen. This was my 1st renovation project and I was unaware of how quickly the pace can be (even when I set them back by not having things ordered on time). Mike was terrific and very patient with me. Our house was left spotless as the tradespeople vacuumed every night.WE ARE SO HAPPY WITH OUR BATHROOM and the quality of the work performed. Big Thank you to Mike & Rocco!

I don't know where to start in my thanks to Gerhard, Elia, Alex and the crew for the work. In and out in 7 days, the house left spotless when they left - they even cleaned the garage and shovelled the snow. The workmanship is outstanding and I would not hesitate to use these folks again - and I will soon!

Head office was kind and understanding when I had a family emergency and had to postpone start date, thank you. Trades people were friendly and considerate and did a good job changing a 35 year old bathroom into a modern bathroom we can enjoy again.

We underwent a kitchen renovation between February and April 2014. Overall we have been very satisfied with the quality of the workmanship. The execution of the project was also quite excellent and the trades worked together seamlessly. In addition to being effective and efficient, the trades were also very personable and went the extra mile on several occasions (replacing damaged hardwood - thank you Nick!! returning to help with re-installation of a microwave when the first turned out to be defective - thank you Steve!! and re-painting walls when the colour didn't turn out as expected). Our project manager, Larry Maher, was also very effective and on top of issues. He remained accessible and was very prompt in responding to our queries or concerns. I would absolutely recommend The Home Improvement People to anyone seeking to undergo a larger renovation project.

Excellent service from Start to finish. Working with Dave was a homeowners dream, attention to detail, great workmanship and all of this within budget provided. You always hear horror stories of contractors, with Alair homes I can confidently tell you there wont be any of these worries. From start to finish the professionalism exhibited was above and beyond anything we could have expected. Dave made all of our wishes come true with the least inconveniences possible to us to make the whole process a pleasurable experience.

After a long 5 years living with 2 gutted baths and no time to do things myself, I decided to research contractors hoping to find someone that would meet my extremely high standards which I admit are OCD. I've had a few failed attempts by hiring companies (for other projects) who just could not deliver on what was promised and was left with less than stellar work and a very bad taste in my mouth in the end. I then came across Homestars and found a high number of positive reviews on the Home Improvement People and decided to take a chance. After meeting with Ben and establishing the job scope and more importantly my expectations, Ben promised me I would get what I wanted and what I am paying for. He even introduced to me to his project manager who would manage the project and crew from start to finish, and after meeting with Gerhard, my wife and I decided to take the plunge and hope for the best. All I can say in my faith was restored and there really are people out there that 1. work hard, 2. take pride 3. and care what the customer wants. It's hard to find them, but I did in this case. Gerhard's crew worked very hard and fast and made sure things were done to my standards and the end result were 2 magazine quality bathrooms and were done in the timeframe as promised. I've learned a lot from this experience and knowing what is involved, so my next project will be planned out better to save me even more time and money. Thank you for finally giving us the dream bathrooms we've always wanted.

Re tiling the bathroom shower and tub ... The job was done quickly and to my exact specifications including a sitting area in the shower. The also left spare tiles for possible repairs in the future to save on having to match tiles at a later date.

We had our basement done with this company about 14 months ago. So far so good. They were professional friendly and on time. Lenny made sure everything was done with little to no hiccups.

We are very happy with the renovations and the basement looks stunning. The team was professional, skilled, courteous, clean, friendly, and often went above and beyond in helping my mother with little things. It meant a lot to her and it also put my brother and me at ease knowing that she was so well looked after. We would be happy to give a recommendation to anyone.
