First contact with Elia, created the impression that I will have a trustworthy company to do my job. He did listen to my request and come with suggestions to improve the overall plan. The work started as scheduled and was finished ahead of time. Caio and his crew were an absolute pleasure to have them around – friendly, polite and hard working people left the the site clean at the end of each day. Cat lovers will appreciate the care they all took to keep them out of the basement. Last month I planned a custom bathroom renovation. So I visited Homestars. The existing shower should have been larger. I chose The home improvement people coz I found some good reviews about them, their crew had given me very good ideas. They made me satisfied by their Cost affected Quotation so dais yes to start the work. During the job their Company inspector came to our home, just to make sure all the right materials were delivered. They have a quality team and highly professional workers. These guys take pride in delivering a quality job and they utmost try to make their customers as happy as they can. As it was the first time and I was nervous about hiring contractors but I believe that I made the right choice by sharing my bathroom renovation with home improvement people and I'm sure after getting their services you will too. If anyone is looking for a Professional renovation without any issue, he should choose them as well.

HIP renovated our master ensuite 3 years ago. Tim and his crew were great! They started the job on time and completed it on schedule, and on budget. Every morning the day began with them covering our floors all the way from the front door to the bathroom upstairs. They answered all our questions and even suggested other design improvements as we went along... We were extremely happy with the final product and have recommended them to friends and family. Ben has just quoted us on our guest washroom and we are excited to have them do another project for us. Will surely follow up when the project is completed...

Great job, on time and on budget. Courteous and professional contractor. Always asked before deciding on any changes. Gave good recommendations. Easy to get a hold of and responsive. Cleaned up well when they were done.

HIP were 1 of 4 companies that we called for quotes after 2 levels of our 1950's house were flooded in the July storm. Dan came out to do the quote and we felt very comfortable with him. We told him exactly what we wanted done and he made some suggestions that we went with. At no point did he try and talk us out of anything (other companies tried) and was respectful of our choices. Once the job started in October 2013, they stuck to the schedule. Elia was fantastic, answering our calls/texts promptly and addressing any concerns that we had (very few). He was very attentive and came by the house frequently to check on the progress. All of the contractors used by HIP for this project were professional and did a great job. We've had previous renos done by another well-known company and dealing with the HIP is a walk in the park compared to others. Not only would we recommend them, we've already signed up for another project in February and so has my Mom. Thanks so much!

The Home Improvement Team recently renovated the main floor of our 1960's bungalow. Ben made three or four visits to sort out what we wanted done and to make sure we were comfortable working with them. Larry Maher and his team of tradespeople are very organized, professional and take pride in the quality of their workmanship. We had tradesmen here on weekends several times to make sure their work was done and the next team could start theirs. The kitchen and bathroom cabinets by Atlantic Finishing Carpentry are beautiful. We couldn't have done it without Niki Stern's assistance in picking cabinets, countertops, paint colors and almost everything else - she was often available on short notice and was invaluable to us. A suggestion to anyone living in the house during a reno (we were in the basement) is to ask to be informed ahead of time when water/hydro will be shut off so you aren't taken by surprise - when this team starts working they go quickly! Be sure to include in your budget the cost of items not included in your quote that you will be responsible for purchasing (tiles, plumbing fixtures etc) - the HIP makes excellent suggestions for sources that will give discounts to HIP customers. We would certainly recommend this company for your renovation.

I am a designer and recently did a project in my own home. I used the Home Improvement people and they exceeded my expectations. Their team was professional, organized, quick and clean. I will definitely be recommending the Home Improvement People to future clients of mine.

We had originally heard about HIP on Newstalk 1010. We ended up hiring them for our kitchen and were thrilled. That was over 2 years ago. We are having overseas guests coming for the holidays so decided last minute we'd try to refinish our basement. Dan came out in September to give us a quote. The price was a bit higher than we were budgeting but in fairness my wife tends to like any and all upgrades LOL. Dan knew that from our kitchen reno, so correctly was including pot lights, wall units, upgraded flooring etc. Given the short time frame, we just went with it. I can't believe it we're done. 4weeks. Awesome service. Always someone to talk to. Not 1 missed day. Elia in particular has a heart of gold and would do anything to make a client happy. We love this company and will use them again when we're ready to redo our bathrooms!
