    Electrical Problems diagnosed and promptly fixed. Quality work.

    I tried Captain Electric on a friend's referral and I am so happy I did. Diane on the phone is very professional and called me about 15 minutes before Dave arrived (within the window promised). Dave is a master electrician and worked quietly and efficiently and explained everything in detail. He diagnosed and fixed the problems with my front porch light / timer, external outlet, and basement ceiling light. He installed 2 'astronomical' timers for my porch lights and a couple of GFIs. He identified a problem with a section of wiring in the basement and provided an estimate to fix it. I had some unpleasant experiences with some electricians over the years, so when I come across a professional like Dave - I am very appreciative. I recommend this company and will definitely use them again.

    Electrical work

    Polite first contact with Diane. Prompt, professional, efficient work by Dave who replaced fire hazard, fuse panel with circuit breakers; offered respect, concern. Affordable safety: Captain (Fantastic) Electric. Hire them!

    Electrical Upgrades

    We purchased a house that was built in 1910 knowing that it would require some electrical upgrades / fixes. We called a few service providers, including Captain Electric who sent over Enrico to put together a comprehensive list of improvements / fixes. After reviewing a few other proposals, we ultimately selected Captain Electric on the basis of the company's qualifications and reviews, Enrico's thorough inspection, commentary, and straightforward / honest feedback on the scope of services required. Enrico advised that something I had been looking to do was not justified by our needs, but pointed out a number of safety items that needed to be addressed for our home to be safe for our growing family. We have been absolultely delighted with our choice. The work was scheduled within a couple days of the initial visit, the crew was punctual, polite and showed a tremendous amount of respect for our property (maintaining clenliness, etc.). They sent over a team large enough to handle the job in a single day to minimize disruption to our household. The quality of the work was top-notch and Enrico explained everything throughout. An ESA inspector came through (random audit) that day and vetted the top-notch work being done by Captain Electric. I had a question a few days after the work was done and Enrico made time to help. We have a few other projects in mind down the road and will - without a doubt - be using Captain Electric again.

    New Thermostat for Baseboard Heater

    Extremely Prompt Service. Very Friendly electrician and he explained everything. Job well done. I would definitely call again if any future work was needed. It was very re-assuring to have a live person answer the phone in the office when I called for service.

    install light fixture on high foyer ceiling

    We were very pleased with the work completed. It was done quickly and the electricians were very professional. We have had Dan, Dave and Enrico complete work in the house and all were very professional, pleasant and knowledgeable. I wouldn't hesitate to contact Captain Electric again in the future.

    Did a great job

    Captain Electric did a great job. They arrived on time and did the work in a timely fashion. They also cleaned up after themselves. Have used them before, will use them again.

    Electrician

    Captain Electric was referred to me by my brother so I already knew they were a good company. Dan Pederson installed a new digital timer for my outside porch lights and checked out a faulty potlight in the kitchen. He was very personable and knowledgable and the company has a good warranty. I would definitely recommend them.

    Thank you Eric and Pauline. Digital Timers to control outdoor lighting are becoming more popular, and it is always nice to come home to a house that is well lit as you approach the front door. Astronomic timers that automatically adjust for the changing sunrise and sunset times are a good choice because you can set the time and latitude/longitude, and the timer will automatically adjust and compensate for sunrise and sunset each day of the year. We also recommend to have Surge Protection at the Main Panel to protect such devices, and other electronics in your home.     Replace GFI and outlet

    Very professional, sent email to them with my issue, they called very quick and was able to fit me, they called a few minutes before they arrived to say they was almost at my location. Enrico arrived and looked at the issue, he explained what he was doing and advised what should be done to fix my issues. He also looked over the electric panel and give me some advise about how a new panel maybe required down the road as mine is older and now full. He cleaned up after his work and check every thing to make sure I was ok with the work. He spent a good couple of hours going over the work and informing me what he was doing and why. Very good, will use again for my electrical needs, and when funds allow will have them back to upgrade my panel and also fit a bathroom fan

    Installation

    Had a great technician attend to two issues at our home. Enrico was personable, informative and worked to make the job go smoothly. Very efficient and we are very pleased with the service. We will use Capt Electric again and highly recommend them for your electrical needs.

    Electrical repairs and installations

    Read good reviews in HomeStars, although catchy names make me a little nervous. The initial appointment was on time and conducted in a professional manner. i went over the work to be done, which was checking and repairing some outlets, and installing a bathroom fan, and removing a kitchen fan lite fixture and replacing with a standard lite fixture. The price was about what I estimated it would be, and Dave, who was a master electrician explained a bit about the company and himself, and we then set up a time for the work. The company called a day before the scheduled work, to re-schedule it, which was a bit of a problem for me as I had scheduled it for when I was off from work and available. The reason in this case was totally understandable, as they were dealing with emergency situations due to the ice storm. A new date was set which accommodated my split work shift, and they showed up as promised. Two electricians, Dave and Dan, then completed the work, and reviewed it with me. The work was professionally done and both Dave and Dan were courteous (work is free if they swear)and finished the work quickly, with good cleanup before they left. Overall I was very impressed with the professionalism of this company and its electricians, and I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them. I rarely give any contractor a 10 as any contracting job is inherently difficult to do perfectly, but they are a 9+ for sure and if you want quality work, by highly qualified electricians at a fair price, with a company that provides polite and knowledgeable customer service, they are the ones to call, notwithstanding the catchy name. Thanks guys!
