Dale Mathison did a great job of fixing and explaining our kitchen faucet (replacement) and our washing machine plumbing where the Sears people had switched the hot and cold water connections. He reconfigured everything and fixed the old pipes. He was a pleasure to have and we will only use this company for future plumbing needs as a result. Great quality workmanship with excellent pricing and done within 14 hours of our initial call - done within a day!!! No waiting!

The technician, Dale Mathison, came on time, and completed the job in a fast courteous manner. There was no mess left behind everything was perfect and I especially liked that he spoke to me not down to me, explaining everything, this is a big point for me as I am a senior. Will have no problem recommending him or this company to family and friends.

The drains in basement were backed up. Called Birnie and sons. They sent Dale out to help. He explained exactly how he was going to proceed and how much it would cost. He snaked with a cutter, 60 feet and cleared the line of, a pail full of roots. He was very professional, and courteous. I would strongly recommend this company based on Dale's performance.

Last evening I came home from work to find water trickling out of the cabinet under my kitchen sink. When I ran the water both sinks quickly filled and a lot of "schmutz" came oozing in along with the water. I went into the basement and found it had leaked into the basement as well. It took over an hour for the sinks to drain and I was extremely concerned about how much damage was caused as a result of this leak. I phoned Thos. R. Birnie & Sons and was greeted with extremely friendly service. I was told they were very busy and I may have to wait until the next day, but would try to get someone out to me as soon as possible. Dale arrived, took a look at the problem and knew exactly what needed to be done. The pipes under my sink needed to be replaced completely. He let me know how much it would cost and I had him go to work. He did an amazing job and was so wonderful to deal with. I am so happy I phoned and should something else happen I will not hesitate to phone them again. Thank you so much Dale and Thos. R. Birnie & Sons Ltd.!!

I've dealt with Thos. R Birnie & Sons twice now and both times have been great experiences! Both times our technician was Jeff and both times he did a fantastic job. He's fast, courteous, and does the job right. On this occasion the issue was a rusted out pea trap below our bathroom sink. Jeff explained what had happened to the trap, fixed the problem in under a half hour, and gave us some suggestions on maintenance. I would definitely call them again - highly recommend!

A big THANK YOU to Jeff who was incredible and is more than a 10 rating for the work he did in my basement! He was confronted with a terrible pipe problem but tackled it head on without hesitation! He made a terrible situation a little easier to deal with! Thank you Jeff, GREAT JOB!!!

We had a plugged drain a 11:00pm. Called for service and were offered service that night but chose to wait until morning since it was not an emergency. 8 am the next morning we got a call from the office to schedule a service call at 9:00am. Dale arrived, quickly assessed the problem and gave us several options to consider. He then proceeded to do the repair. Work was completed effectively and efficiently. Dale was pleasant and professional. We have used Birnie & Sons exclusively for over 25 years with no complaints.

We had a leak in our water line under the floor of crawlspace. The repairs were made quickly. Jeremy the plumber was skilled and efficient, as well as polite and personable. He made every effort to leave the work site clean and tidy. Some confusion regarding fees for water turn off and turn on by city was cleared up by management and office staff.

We had a main drain blockage and called Birnie Thos R & Sons Ltd in the late afternoon. We arranged for service the next morning. The service person, Jeremy, was very friendly; professional, courteous and knowledgeable. He quickly assessed the problem; outlined several options; and made his recommendation. He was right. The problem was resolved within an hour. Everything was cleaned up afterwards. Now we are able to continue our daily routines, feeling confident that we will have no further problems. We will certainly recommend this company in the future! EXCELLENT service.

Extremely professional, reliable, accomodating and prompt service. Jeremy was very polite, efficient and ensured work site was clean once he finished installation of new faucet.
