In a few words we just have to say "STOP LOOKING!" if you want peace of mind, AMBIA Windows is top notch in our books, Tony is always available for any questions (anytime of the day), Frank and he's crew are all very professional & reliable, they are a pleasure to watch work, very precise, they don't skimp and cut corners, they do it right the first time! We did our research beforehand and we are now so glad that we went with AMBIA Windows, the front of our home looks stunning, we plan on having them come back to do the windows in the back. :)

    Windows Replacement

We decided to replace all windows in our old house and were checking several companies. Tony came to our place at a very short notice on Saturday when it was most convenient for us. He was very professional and patient in answering all our questions. He took time to explain the process in detail and gave us many useful ideas. Unlike some sale representatives at some other windows companies, Tony was never pushy and never suggested a more expensive variant if it was not needed. All in all, we decided to sign a contract with Ambia Windows and never regretted. The invoice amount was exactly as quoted. Our communication with the company was easy and pleasant. When we sent emails to Tony or left him a voice messages, he always answered promptly and in the most courteous way. All stages of work have been done strictly on time. Frank, who supervises the installation team, scheduled an appointment to take measurements. Several weeks later his crew came to our house with the new windows and did a great job which was completed in a day and a half, including cleaning and debris disposal. We are very happy with Ambia Windows and highly recommend it. Excellent job. Thank you.

    Windows, Patio Doors

Tony came to our house to give us a free estimate with no obligation. This was unlike another company that came and tried to give the hard sell (i.e. If you don't sign this contract now, you won't get this price again) We had Ambia install patio doors and replace several windows and shutters in our home. Frank and the installers did a fantastic job, as well as Brian with the masonry work (we had to get cut-out of the bricks done for this). They were all professional and personable. Prices were in-line with other companies. We will be calling them in spring to replace our front door as well!

    Five Basement Windows

I found Ambia on Homestars. Tony was very fast to reply to any questions and provided the best quote of all installers. He also explained why particular windows would be much better for my particular situation. Sergiy did the install for me and he was very professional and thorough. He also did an excellent cleanup job. I will definitely use Ambia for my future window needs. Thanks Tony & Sergiy.

    Full house window replacement

Our house is over 20 years old and windows were starting to go. We spent a lot of time looking at different companies and products. We had replaced all the interior casings a couple of years ago on all the downstairs windows with heavy moldings. We didn't want to replace those and Ambia was the only company we talked to that gave us confidence they could handle the job. We found Ambia through Home Stars where they got good reviews. The sales experience went very well - Tony came out at a time that was convenient for us, he was very professional and took the time to explain the product and find the best solution to our needs. He even met us met us a Window CIty showroom to review all the products. In the end, we chose the Heritage slim line window – the windows are all narrow and this style maximizes the glass area and doesn't have that bulky retro-fit look. The solution Tony came up with was to split the frame and install inserts - this preserved the original casings. Other companies were reluctant to do it this way or failed to even to understand what we were asking for. Tony's quote was also very competitive compared to the others. The key to any reno is the people doing the work. Tony has a great team of installers and the installation went smoothly. They cleaned up after each day and removed all the debris. They were very careful not to damage the casings while splitting the window frame and found the right wood trim to finish where the old window met the new. The end job was just what we hoped for. Tony came and inspected before final payment. The windows look great inside and out and performed well through the winter. We would highly recommend Tony and Ambia windows.

    Sun Room Windows

This job involved replacing 8 3' X 4' (approx) sun room windows, and another smaller one over a door. Got three quotes. One from another "reputable" org included at this site, was about the same cost, but included a much cheaper solution. Tony provided me with options...I was the one that upgraded, he just showed me what was possible. Crew (Frank et al) were good humoured, got the job done with minimal fuss and in excellent time. I used to build boats for a living: these guys do good work. I'll have them along next summer to do the rest of the house.

Whole home windows and doors retrofit, new bay window

Our home is approximately 25 yrs old. The original windows were in wood framing and was in the advance stages of rot. It got so bad last year that I was able to push my finger into the exterior casings. I resorted to temporarily patching the frame with caulking. As a result, none of the windows were operable. This year, we decided that we had to replace the windows. This would be an immense renovation, with all 27 windows and 2 doors replaced. We investigated many window companies for a long time. Our experience from start to finish with Ambia Windows & Doors was by far the best large-scale renovation experience we have ever had. Enter Tony from Ambia Windows & Doors. When I first got in contact with Tony, he was extremely polite and timely with scheduling appointments. He catered his appointments entirely around our schedule. The first appointment with Tony was at night. He came after another appointment in the area, and by that time it was already 7pm. We discussed the various options, types of windows and a ballpark figure on how much the renovation would cost. It was more of an informational session than anything. While we were evaluating other window companies, Tony and I kept in touch via email and phone. He was always very prompt at responding. In the end, we decided to go with Ambia. The professionalism that Tony presented gave us a very good feeling that the installation crew would be the same. The price was a little bit over our budget, but we felt it was worth it. To iron out all the tiny details and finish signing the contract to get the job underway, Tony came out and worked with us for 7 straight hours (6pm-1am). Once the contract was signed, it took about a month for the windows and doors to be made. The install crew came and the installation could not have gone better. It took a total of 4 days. The crew always cleaned up after themselves (each day), and was very courteous with our questions and poking around. The end result, was a stunning transformation of our home. We picked: - Heritage line - Prairie grills for all windows. This added a subtle but gorgeous accent to our home. - French all-glass prairie cut backyard doors, with Phantom screens. Tony, Igor and crew, thank you so much for being with us from start to finish. You guys were a true blessing, and we will recommend you in a heartbeat.

Replace all windows, doors and garage door

I just purchased a 50yr old bungalow with 30yr old windows & doors in poor condition. I had a very limited budget and no idea on how to start researching different companies, or costs involved. I'd recalled that a year earlier my brother had had his windows and doors replaced, and he'd always mentioned how happy he was with the products and workmanship and the great service provided by the company rep. named Tony. Since he was a thorough person who did not make decisions lightly, I trusted his judgement in the company he'd finally picked to replace his windows, and I asked for the telephone #. Tony met with me right away, listened to what I wanted and was sympathetic to my financial limitations. His team arrived on time, were very professional and courteous and wasted no time in getting started. I was impressed with how well co-ordinated they were in working together to complete what was a very labour intensive job (16 windows including one very large living room window, doors, screens and garage door capping). Due to the age and design of the house, some areas were difficult to work in and several areas required reframing, however they managed to work within the tight spots and finshed the entire job on time. They cleaned everything up and arranged for disposal of all materials. The windows and doors are beautiful and have changed the overall curb appeal of the property 100%. I've had many compliments from people. Tony even upgraded the door hardware to a higher end product at no extra cost to me which gives the doors a more classical look. He took the time to inspect and review the finished work and to ensure that I was completely satisfied with everything before accepting final payment. Overall, I'm very happy about the choice I made. I not only received new windows and doors, but also upgraded hardware and new wood frames at no extra cost to me. Thank you.

    Windows and Doors Replacement

I am lucky to have met Tony Radocchia - Ambia's salesperson. I needed to replace all windows and two doors on a 60 year old bungalow. He is very keen on details and explained to me every aspect of the job. His installers are very skilled and keen on details. Tony also gracefully gave me a window for free as it was that particular window was not included in the original estimate. I got quotes from different companies and even though Ambia didnt have the lowest price, Tony matched the lowest bidder but I got better windows and doors! I highly recommend Ambia as it is a reputable company and Tony is an honest and reliable representative of this company. After Sale Support Update April 2011: New windows and doors were installed by Ambia last year. Nearly a year after the installation, had to call Tony (salesperson)for minor adjustments and replacements. Take note that these problems could have been caused our misuse and lack of care but Tony immediately called the installer and door supplier! They were there a couple of days after to fix the problem. I am very impressed with the after sales support that Ambia has provided! Companies should follow Ambia's lead. And with a salesperson like Tony at the helm, you can never go wrong with Ambia! I can definitely recommend them to anyone needing replacement or new windows and doors. Keep up the good work!

    new windows and doors

We had our home renovated last year and were still somewhat 'shellshocked' from the experience, so we spent some time with each of the four companies we researched. Ambia was the last of the four companies and Tony was our contact. Our whole experience with Tony and Ambia's installation crew has been excellent. Tony met with us to explain the process and answered all our questions. He gave us an extensive reference list and all eight of the references we contacted called back and everyone was very pleased with Tony and Ambia. Within three weeks from the order date, our (seven) windows and patio door were installed. The crew were professional, friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. Ambia's prices are fair, but their service is superlative. We thoroughly recommend Tony and Ambia.
