We hired Waterworks for some minor repairs, i.e. a sink that did not have water and a corroded valve. The first negative impression we had, was when they told us on the phone they charge $49.00 for a quote. We should have listened to our feeling...
Although their plumber was nice and friendly and did a satisfying job, we felt ripped off. The parts surely did not cost more than $100 and the plumber was done within 1 hour. For this, they charged us $700! We will certainly not deal with them anymore and can't recommend them to anyone.
If a company does not give you a free quote, they surely have a good reason...
Update:
Since Waterworks tried to question my credibility and have my review removed, I feel the need to be more precise.
The cost for the parts were: 1 Aerator: $4.99 at Home Depot, 1 Ball Valve: $20.49 at Home Depot. There was only one worker (George) in our house and he was here 1 hour and 15 minutes.
The "up front quote" actually happened at the spot, i.e. in our house after part of the work was done.
For this, you charged $629.67 before tax.
Although I appreciate your offer to "do something for me in the future" if I change my review, I do think other customers should be able to judge for themselves if this is a fair price and good practice.
