A Roller broke on my garage door - called for service and two hours later it was fixed. Great customer service and very personable staff. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone

I came cross Markham Garage Doors Ltd. in the Markham Home Show. Kevin Chappel was very approachable and informative. They had a promotion going which include HST in their prices. I found the estimate price quite reasonable. After checking the various good reviews in Home Star, I asked Kevin to give me a quote. When he was at my house, he offered to install my the garage door keypad free of charge. He also suggested to cap the garage door frame by aluminium. The contractor (not from the same company) scheduled to install the cap right before the installation of the new doors to avoid scratching the doors and they put the alumimium into the bricks so that no cocking is needed. All these show they have their hearts in the work and I appreciate the value-added advices they gave me. They worked efficiently and have great workmanship. My house looks completely different after the installment and we got compliments from our neighbours. Excellent work and way to go Kevin! Thanks.

My Garage door opener failed to function on Sunday. Monday morning I called them, Chris answered and asked some key questions to determine the problem. Ryan came to do the job. My Garage door is fixed. Great Service, honesty, reasonable cost, what else can you ask for. Thanks :)

Scheduling a service call was easy and painless with Gavin. Ryan showed up early (good!) and was efficient, courteous and professional. MGD gave our modest project the type of attention you'd expect for a big project. Top marks for service and value.

It's me again. I just left a review for Markham Garage Doors a few weeks ago, but I had some new work done. It was another great experience and I couldn't resist leaving another review. I decided it was time for a new garage door opener (the old one from 20-30 years ago kept acting up). Knowing I had a great company to call made the decision easier. The people that I dealt with explained the opener options and price ranges, their prices were fair, and every person I spoke with (I called three times because I had lots of questions) was knowledgeable and friendly. Chris did a great job with the installation. He was very good humoured about me hovering over and watching the installation, and he was very pleasant about me wanting the wall-mounted openers measured and straightened just perfectly. He cleaned up the job site and took every last piece of waste with him. Coincidentally, a couple of weeks earlier, my parents' garage door opener suddenly stopped working. I assumed they needed a new opener and I was prepared to pay to have one installed the same day. I called Markham Garage Doors, Kevin went to the house right away, checked things over, and advised that the problem was likely electrical - nothing wrong with the opener. Turns out he was right. The electrical connection has been repaired and the opener is as good as new. I really appreciated the generosity of his time and his honesty in telling me what was needed, not taking advantage of the situation and selling me a new machine that was not needed. A great company to deal with.

Since being introduced to the Home Stars by a friend six months ago I now use this website exclusively when looking for any service or installation. My satisfaction in each of the companies that I have contracted is in first looking for companies with good references and then references that repeatedly mention the same staff member/members that in appreciation gave them that all important personal service. Where the company is located is not important, how satisfied they have left their customers is my biggest concern. My old automatic garage door broke over the weekend - the roller on one side had snapped off. I was concerned that although it looked like a relatively simple fix that I would be faced with companies trying to sell me a complete new garage door system. I noticed that reviews of MARKHAM GARAGE DOORS spoke of no sales pressure to replace an old door system, instead that they were very professional in educating the home owner about the different aspects of their present door. I placed a call Monday morning which was answered by Kevin, who dispatched Brandon to my house in less than an hour! Although they didn't have parts for my old door Brandon said he could fix it instead by installing one of their nylon rollers from their new door systems. That being the case, I had him also replace the old roller on the other side, while he was at it. After replacing the broken bracket, installing two new nylon rollers Brandon & Ryan made some final adjustments to ensure the door was aligned perfectly. For $69.00 labour, and a couple of $6.00 rollers, my old door was back in service! I did ask Brandon before he left how much a new door system would cost (which I will eventually want to do), but whether it is for a new system, or repairs to my existing system it will be MARKHAM GARAGE DOORS that I call. I was extremely pleased with the service I received and would highly recommend them to all of my friends. Angus Wighton

My garage door opener broke and after calling several companies, I realized that there weren't any replacement parts--that particular company had gone out of business. I checked on HomeStars and saw that Markham Garage Doors Ltd got a lot of good reviews. And the reviews were right! Mark brought a new garage door opener, took down the old broken one and had the new one installed and working in no time. He also examined my garage door itself and told me about its condition. He took the time to answer my questions, he was polite and very professional. I would recommend Markham Garage Doors to anyone. They know what they're doing and do a good job.

We obtained 3 quotes. Not only was Markham Garage Doors the most reasonably priced for what we wanted but they were the most professional as well. Kevin spent the time educating myself on all the different aspects of garage doors. They gave us a time estimate for delivery and were right on time. They showed up when they said they would to do the installation. definitely would recommend Markham Garage Doors.

Our old metal swing garage door fell down unexpectantly three weeks ago, and the team at Markham Garage Doors came by within the hour to get our old door closed, so we could have safety and peace of mind. We ordered a new door at the same time, and within 2 1/2 weeks, our new door was installed, along with a new opener. (The delay was in getting the new door from the manufacturer, as size / colour we choose was not standard) We truly appreciated the quick response to our call for help. The team at Markham Garage Doors was friendly and helpful, and went through our options without adding any sales pressure. On installation day, they stayed until the job was done, and made sure it was done right the first time. Thank you to Kevin, Chris, Mark and the rest of the team at MGD! I called around to here many different stories about price and service but was not sold. When I called Markham Garage Doors Chris answered the phone and told me everything I needed to know about the repair no presure to buy anything just educated me on the job. After giving me all the information I needed I wanted Markham Garage Doors to do the work. It was done, same day, by a great young man named Brandon. The price quoted was the price no question. Professionalism and care was taken. My door had been tuned up and went from not working to working better than new for just $69.00 +GST.
