I would recommend Markham Garage door to anyone needing a new garage door. The price was competitive but the workmanship was exceptional. The installer of the the doors was very experienced and professional. What I like was that they had a different person install the capping. He only does capping and it was great to watch him work. The job was perfect and he cleaned up everything before he left. Previously I had used them for a repair and this also was done promptly and professionally.

Short Version: We called Markham Garage Doors for help with our garage door and we were extremely happy with the price, professionalism and friendliness of everyone we dealt with. If I could give more than a 5 star rating I would and wish every business was owned, run and staffed as they are. (Please read long version below for critical learning opportunity.) Long Version With Critical Information: Upon returning home from a drive at 9:30 pm on a weekday we heard a loud bang when our garage door closed and knew something was broken. We went to Homestars for our our best options. Markham Garage Doors came up as a contender and we called the number which sent us to a call centre. The call centre said someone would be at our home first thing tomorrow morning. The next morning the technician called and said they would be here at 8:30am. Fortunately for us, at about 8:25 Chris Dale (owner or Markham Garage Doors Ltd) reached out to us via the Homestars chat to see if we were contacted and we said yes. It was at that time that Chris explained whoever was due to arrive was not from his company and an imposter. He started to explain that there was an issue with the call centre and somehow his jobs were getting referred to other unaffiliated technicians who were doing poor jobs, overcharging and getting many complaints. He explained that anyone form his company will be driving a vehicle identified by Markham Garage Doors. My wife immediately called that technician back to cancel him and he was angry and asked why as he was pulling in to our driveway. My wife said we wanted Markham Garage Doors due to the reviews we saw and he kept saying “I’m a technician”. He pulled up in an unmarked minivan and speed off when we said we will not open the door. Chris was still in the phone with me and said he will send out a gentleman named Ryan. Within 15 minutes Ryan pulled up in a Markham Garage Doors pickup and treated me like a friendly neighbour as well as a customer. Within the hour our garage door springs were changed and working better than they were before they broke. Bottom line, Markham Garage Doors Ltd., Chris and Ryan surpassed all our expectations and despite the side drama, have a new and loyal customer who will not let anyone else on their driveway unless identified as Markham Garage Doors Ltd. Thank you Chris and Ryan!!!

Dealing with MGD Ltd. was a very positive experience from beginning to end. I called, got a quote which I thought was quite reasonable, and within 2 hours Avery came over and did an excellent job installing a new spring. Now the door is as good as new. I highly recommend Markham Garage Doors Ltd.!

One of my garage doors had a spring snap. Through their website, I uploaded the description of the problem this morning. By early afternoon, all the work was completed by Ernie. I am 100% satisfied with the work, and have been from the time they installed our new garage doors 6 years ago. I highly recommend MGD to anyone & will vouch for their work & integrity.

On a friday afternoon at 330pm, I called around to several shops until a recommendation from family let to MGD. Frida was so friendly and made a call to find someone to come help. In and out 30min, no hassle. Pricing was fair. Avoid those others unwilling to budget quote.

Thank you Markham Garage Doors for the installation of a new garage opener by LiftMaster. Our journey began with several conversations with the Markham Garage Doors staff, including Chris, Frieda and Louis. As this is our first time replacing the garage opener, all the staff members treated us with respect and patience. We initially wanted to repair the garage opener, but because of its age, we sought advice to repair or to replace. Throughout the multiple conversations, honest expert advice was provided and there was not a moment of pressure to buy or upsell. In the end, we decided on a new unit because of the belt drive, quiet performance, lifetime warranty, and the WIFI capability of the LifeMaster garage opener. Gustavo was our installer and he called prior to arrival, worked efficiently and professionally to take down the old unit and replaced with the new unit. After his work, he taught us how to maintain the unit and showed us the lubricant that should be used. Lastly, he examined the other parts of our garage, including the door, hinges and spring, to ensure a good working condition, and lubricated the parts. We were also interested in the capping and he got us a quote right away from Louis. All in all, we would recommend Markham Garage Doors to our family and friends because of their values, quality work and client-centric service! This is a great company to deal with, from sales person, Louis, to technician, Ernie. They are all professionals. Called in Monday and had my Garage door fixed this morning, (Tuesday), by Ernie. Couldn't be more happier for the whole service.

I needed a garage cable replaced as one side of my garage door was not resting on the ground. They were prompt, efficient, reasonably priced and I was highly satisfied. I would use them again and recommend to friends.

Andrea was extremely friendly and helpful in providing service immediately. Ernie came and was friend, and very professional. All I needed was part of the garage track replaced. He did not recommend more than required and completed the service with added value improvements. Very good job. Quick, efficient, and effective.

We contracted with Markham Garage Doors to replace our 40-year old, original garage doors. It was a great experience from the start. Louis came when he said he would to provide us with product choices and an estimate. He had helpful information about the range of products, the differences between them and provided a written quote. Delivery was on time and Ryan did a great job with the installation. Finally, our thanks to Robert who did a great job capping the trim around our two garage doors and the side door. Everyone at Markham Garage Door was friendly, helpful and professional.
