    The best!

    Coretemp did an excellent furnace installation for us a few years ago. We have done a poor job scheduling regular maintenance and changing our filter. Sure enough, we arrived home from work to find our furnace was not working. I called Coretemp after hours. Richard picked up the phone right away, diagnosed the problem over the phone, and arranged for someone to come out the same night to help us. This is a well run, professional company with a service and work ethic that is very very rare. I would not use anyone else.

    Trusted advice. I wouldn't let anyone else near my HVAC equipment.

    My furnace and A/C were replaced by another large dealer in the winter, when it's not possible to safely check the A/C coolant charge due to the cold weather and risk of causing damage to the outdoor unit. I was told by that company that the system comes pre-charged and there's no need to check the charge in the spring. I called Richard and he disagreed, saying it's an important part of the initial installation. I asked Richard and Eric to come and check the system when the weather got warmer, and sure enough they found the system to be lacking charge, an issue which they easily corrected. He also found that the original installing contractor likely worked on the copper without adequately cooling surrounding valves / components, which resulted in one valve leaking coolant. Luckily he was able to correct this as well. Moral of the story, hire someone like Richard who cares about and knows what he's doing. I didn't understand this before, but the quality of the installation is just about as important as, if not more so, than the actual equipment that's installed. Some backstory: My furnace failed and I called various dealers in a panic trying to get it replaced as soon as possible. I found another highly rated company who agreed to replace the unit the same day, and I never got around to calling Richard of Core Temp to get his quote. I ultimately had my furnace and A/C replaced, but began to suspect that perhaps things weren't installed as they should be. I called Richard and he was more than happy to discuss the situation with me. Not only did he confirm that my suspicions were correct, but he pointed out several other issues I wasn't informed enough about to notice. Suffice it to say that some of the errors could be described as amateurish. Homeowners don't consider this, but many companies subcontract their installations, and problems like mine ensue. To the best of my knowledge, Richard does not subcontract his jobs and that's why his installations are of a higher standard. I won't mention the name of the installing company simply because they ultimately made the situation right and corrected their mistakes. I'll just say that it's funny that one has to call someone like Richard to verify the work of others and learn just how poor installations by other companies can be. I bet there are customers of this other company that had their equipment installed and have no idea it was done incorrectly. Richard was patient and thorough when I spoke to him on several occasions. I can't believe he was willing to be bothered even though he had nothing to gain. Simply, Richard is a highly ethical, pleasant, kind hearted and technically skilled person. I'll be seeking his help in the future should my equipment need servicing. When you're spending thousands of dollars and making decisions you have to live with for the life of the equipment, say circa 20 years, do yourself a favour and call someone who knows what they're doing.     Lennox SLP98V and iComfortS30 Installation

    We hired Core Temp in November 2019 to install our new furnace (Lennox SLP98V with iComfort S30) after our 18 year old Carrier gave out. We were in a no heat situation with two small children in the house. Core Temp was excellent, Richard and Eric make a great team and go above and beyond for their customers. Richard came out the same day to give me a quote and the furnace was installed on time the next morning by both Richard and Eric (they do not subcontract out which is rare). Their price was great also, not the highest and not the lowest, but reasonable. A great value because of the support they provide after the installation. The installation was clean, thorough and fast. First and foremost – the SLP98V is a wonderful furnace and has made a significant difference in our home. The temperature is much more even throughout the house minimizing hot/cold spots. We have an older house with additions so the ductwork is a patchwork of different sizes from different era’s making HVAC a challenge. It is quiet and the variable motor is efficient - I have noticed a lower electricity bill. The iComfortS30 is a requirement in order to use the full variable features of the SLP98V. It is not perfect, however if you have patience and tweak it over time you will really like it. This was the trouble spot for our installation – and also where Core Temp has been phenomenal in their support and service. The original S30 that was installed started to reset every few hours causing a furnace shutdown and restart. Richard was excellent in troubleshooting and getting Lennox dealer support involved, he came out and replaced the S30 with a new one and it has been trouble free so far. The second challenge has been getting the S30 to work with our Aprilaire 800 Steam Humidifier. Again, over the last few months, Richard has been excellent in troubleshooting and figuring out the correct settings for my particular case/house. The settings will be different for each house, but Richard is more than willing to work with you to get it right! I highly highly recommend Core Temp – Richard and Eric are excellent.

    Furnace issue diagnosed and replaced

    Richard and Eric are true professionals who go the extra mile for their customers to ensure both safety and satisfaction. They took the time to educate us regarding our home furnace issue and provided us with a variety of appropriate options with respect to financial viability. Richard also managed to identify a separate, but important safety concern with our water heater and repaired this free of charge. We now have an energy efficient quality furnace. We have noticed improved heating and air quality throughout our home since the repair. There is a reason they are rated so highly - the live up to the rep 100%

    Longterm support

    Richard and Eric installed our Lennox that I love. It is the best furnace even. We had a warranty issue 5 years later and they were here the next business day.

    Quality, Fast and Professional

    Had my Carrier (builder special) Furnace's Heat Exchanger die and had very bad carbon coming out of the exhaust. Although I didn't know how bad. My wife called CoreTemp the next morning at about 9:30am and Rich came by to inspect by 10:45. Wow. Needless to say the CO2 levels were off the charts. After providing some options, Rich and Eric were at my house at 7:30 am the next morning. The two of them are great people and were comfortable allowing me to watch their progress, and explained exactly what they were doing and why each step of the way. They removed my old Carrier and installed a new two stage Lennox and were out by 12:30. Best part about the experience is that each knew their limits and who was better at doing certain tasks then the other. Even though both could do it, it was nice to know they worked as a team and respected each other. The next day (today) it is -20 outside. Thankfully inside its now nice and warm. Thanks guys, it was a great experience.

    Furnace Replacement

    Richard responded very quickly to our request for a quote, and was very informative during the initial consultation and site visit. He was friendly, honest and easy to talk to. We appreciated the follow up call from Richard to see if we had any additional questions. There was no pressure to buy. When it came time to install, he and his staff, Eric, arrived on time and got straight to work. They came prepared to protect the floor from any damage while moving out the old furnace and bringing in the new one. They were finished and on their way in about 4 hours. We are so happy we hired CoreTemp for our new furnace. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ highly recommended

    We used Cortemp to install and and now to service the furnaces at both our properties

    Richard installed our Rudd furnace at our first property and we have had no issues with it. He recently installed a second Rudd at our other property. Today there was an issue with loose wiring and he was on the spot, on a Saturday from Mississauga to downtown in 90 minutes. Problem solved. We will not use anyone else to service our furnaces. Highly recommended.

    Always dependable

    Coretemp sold us our furnace and on-demand hot water tank, and provide our annual maintenance. We are extremely happy with the equipment and also the support. A recent example: a furnace glich during the November cold snap had us emailing at 9:30PM on a Sunday night-Richard returned our call and was able to walk us through the fix over the phone. Richard and his excellent staff care about their customers and reliably deliver this kind of customer service.
