Let me make this simple for you – HIRE THESE PEOPLE!! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Accu-Star. We had mold in the basement of our 90+ year old Etobicoke home and my husband and I were determined to hire a competent, reputable and affordable mold remediation company that we could trust. We ended up having three companies come over and provide us with estimates. It was so obvious as soon as we met Nev that he was the guy for the job. He described in detail exactly what his crew would do while patiently answering all of our questions (a practice that continued throughout the remediation process). As advertised, Accu-Star matched the competitors’ estimate. Once work began, the team proved to be skilled, hard-working and approachable. The extent of damage to our basement was beyond what we had originally anticipated and I had no problem trusting Nev to do what needed to be done. Jennifer was very prompt, professional, informative and friendly in response to my e-mail inquiries. The inspector who did the testing, Nev, was also very professional and knowledgeable. He was able to quickly determine that there wasn't any mold and took the time to explain where to look for mold, providing tips on reducing its likelihood. Very helpful and highly recommended.

Top notch, customer-focused service. We called at 9:30 am for an urgent inspection and Jennifer was on it right away. We were lucky and Nev was able to make it to our place by 11. He was right on time, had all the right gear and was not afraid to tell us that we did not have a mold problem. Very professional and highly recommended.

We discovered mold in our basement after the heavy rains in July. After reading reviews on Homestars, we chose to contact Accu-Star to complete the job. I was extremely happy with Nev and his team at Accu-Star for their removal and disposal of Asbestos in our basement. They were done around the same time they quoted and the work and professionalism was fantastic! Two small issues came up (no company is 100% perfect and if they say they are, run!) which I discussed right away with Nev and they were fixed right away! They went above and beyond my expectations and I am more than happy to recommend Accu-Star for their services. Thanks Nev and Accu-Star!

While opening up walls in our 90 year old home, we came across a vent that was wrapped in a papery substance. We were pretty sure it was asbestos, so we called Accu-Star. Nev was very professional and knowledgeable when he came to our house and assessed the vent in question. He confirmed it was asbestos and set an appointment for the removal. The two gentlemen who came (I wish I remembered their names) were quick, efficient, and tidy. Later on the same day, we opened up another wall and found insulation that we were unsure of. My husband called Nev, who asked us to send him a photo, and he advised us immediately that the insulation was safe. My husband and I feel that Accu-Star were wonderful to work with and really cared about doing the job right!

Nev Budhwa and his whole team are angels! Our 30 year old water tank cracked on it's seam about 2" down from top. Maybe 10 litres got out before we noticed. I quickly cleaned up the water in the morning but in the afternoon the asbestos tiles in the furnace room were crumbling. I got worried and went onto HomeStars looking for someone to clean this up. I ended up requesting contact with an email to Accu-Star at 9pm on a Saturday night. Nev called us back at 10 that night. Ok, nice. He came out a couple of days later and confirmed that the asbestos should be removed and offered to use his camera to check for dampness in the walls. They were soaked. I explained that over the past 10 years we had a large clear water flood and two minor floods also clear water. He suggested the one plaster wall be opened up and let it dry out naturally. I agreed. The day they were removing the asbestos tiles, one of the crew came out of the containment area and called Nev. Nev showed up at our home, suited up and went into the enclosed are and came out shaking his head...see the photo's. Because our basement had a substantial under floor flood 10 years the areas under the floor and in the walls were a contaminated with black mould. He strongly suggested to clear it out immediately because it was a huge health risk. When I explained that my father raised the floor in the basement and the same tile was underneath the raised floor he became very, very concerned for our health and safety and again strongly suggested clean up. We agreed to have our whole basement gutted because of all the mould. He came over numerous times before and during the clean up to reassure us, answer our many, many questions and did a super wonderful job cleaning up all the mould and asbestos. He even brought in a gentleman, a very professional expert named Mike to do a designated source report to check for the possibility of asbestos in the walls and ceiling because it is a 50's style home. After everything was removed he sent in his crew to paint and seal the concrete floor and a week after that performed an air test to show that there was no more contaminants in our basement. Nev, The Crew, Mike(the DSR guy), everyone associated with Accu-Star are nothing short of amazing & professional. We knew we had a problem but when we found out how bad, we stressed out completely. Thank you Nev, Mike and Accu-Star for all your wonderful, caring work that you did with our home, Pandora's Box.

Nev was wonderful at diagnosing and remediating our mold problem. We had some water come into our basement during the flash thaw just before spring. Because our kids play in that area, we wanted to check for mold. Nev came for an assessment and suggested removing a baseboard to see if there was a problem. Unfortunately there was. Nev contained the area with barriers and came back a couple of days later to start his work. His team removed all the affected drywall and treated the mold infested areas. The work was neat and tidy and we were very pleased. He was also in constant communication with us which gave us nice peace of mind. He was an absolute pleasure to deal with and I would not hesitate to recommend him to others. Hopefully, I will not need him again myself.

I contacted Accu-Star Environmental Inc after looking at reviews posted at HomeStars to remove mold in bathroom /basement area. I was amazed by customer service through all the process .Nev was able to schedule appointment at the same day I called, addressed all my concerns and took his time to explain work involved. I received estimation in 2 days and work was done next day. Steve came on time with his partner, made sure that work was done in safe manner and left place tidy .Through all process, Steve kept me updated and asked for my consent to remove parts of drywall and bar next to bathroom . It's great feeling to know that there are amazing contractors out there , not only on TV shows. Thank you guys!
